i know who can krishna. He was here well before Jesus. But i also know i always feel good and healed after coming the mass from jesus. but i also beleived deeply in krishna. i think he came here first the jesus, nad now i dont know who is next
only one of them died for your sins: that was jesus. he's is the only one who died and was raised back to life again from the grave; and he's is the one who will judge the world. no one else. so we worship him and and the father only. no one else is worthy of worship.
Jesus IS the Father! Jesus was the physical manifestation of God. Therefore, we dont worship Jesus AND the father. We worship Jesus because He IS the father.
@psychogirlie- no, not true sister. Jesus and the father are only one in the sense they are in perfect harmony: "I and the father are one" (Jn.10:30). He was implying that he represented God the father in all that he did. He was also trying to show his divinity, because some of his followers might not have understood fully who he was. Other scriptures show clearly who Jesus is. For example, the Bible says that Jesus sits at the right hand side of the father in heaven (Eph.1:20).
The Bible also shows us Jesus praying to someone in heaven, namely the father: "And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began" (Jn.17:5). In another scripture, right before he was to die on the cross, Jesus yells out: " My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? (Matthew 27:46) Surely Jesus was talking to himself when he made these statements. He was praying to the one who was still in heaven, but also lived inside of him.
Moreover, in the book of Revelation, the Bible shows two thrones, one for the father and one for the son. You can also see in the book of Hebrews, in verse 1:6, that angels were instructed by the father to worship the incarnated Jesus when he entered the earth in a human body.
But more importantly, the word Elohim in Hebrew implies more than one being as being God. It means in essence "great ones" or "mighty ones." It certainly means more than one. "Let us make man in our image" (Ge.1:26).
Also, " They both said to Isaiah: "Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, 'Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?' (Isa.6:8). This was the father and the son speaking together to mankind. Another verse that shows the two of them together is in Ge. 11:7, when the tower of Babel was being built: "let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech." Again, two beings speaking to one another. But they agree on everything.
However, one mankind sinned, one of them had to come to the earth and die for the sins of humans. So he had to put on a human body (He.2:14). He had to do what Adam failed to do. That's why Jesus is sometimes referred to as the second Adam (The first Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit 1 Cor 15:45). Humanity needed a high priest, but the high priest had to be without sin. No human was without sin, since we all descended from Adam. So that left only Christ.
After he had paid the price for sin, he went back to heaven and sat at the right hand of the father, where he prays and intercede for us constantly as our high priest (He.7:24). In otherwords, if he is praying to someone else, then he can't be praying to himself as the father. That's not logical. No, he and the father rule. Here is what Paul said: "Now I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God" (1Cor.11:3).
You see, the father now sits in a position higher than the son ("For he "has put everything under his feet." Now when it says that "everything" has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ" (1Cor.15:27). So, the father himself put the incarnated Jesus in charge of everything, but the father still rules as head. But this wasn't always the case. According to Philippians 2:6, they were equal beings.
Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus Who, being in very natureGod, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing..." (phl.2:5-11). Jesus gave up equality with the father to come and die for our sins. He willing took a position lower than the father so that we could have a high priest (He.7:24). Humanity could not make it without a high priest. And jesus retains that position to this day.
one last thing. While Jesus walked the earth, he himself made the statement that the father was "greater" than him: If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced, because I go to the Father; for the Father is greater than I'" (John 14:28). That right there lets you know that there has to be two distinctive beings, one the son and the other the father. Jesus became God's son when he decided to be born through Mary. Before then, he was not God's son. Notice in the book of Hebrews, it sas about jesus...
For to which of the angels did God ever say, "You are my Son; today I have become your Father"? Or again, "I will be his Father, and he will be my Son"? (He.1:5). You see, Jesus and the father decided together that one of them would come into the earth to die for our sins. Read in Hebrews 10;5-6: Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: "Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me; with burnt offerings and sin offerings you were not pleased."
So, there it is. It's all clear: Jesus and the father are two different beings. One became the son and the other became the father. Original, they were both equal; but one gave up his position to die for fallen mankind. He retains that position so that humans can have a high priest to go through to have a relationship with the father. Now, we get to the father through the son. That's why jesus said, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (Jn.14:6)
So, when we pray, we do pray to the father. We just pray to the father through Jesus. We can pray in the authority of the son, but ultimately, it is the father we are praying to. That was the whole purpose of Jesus dying on the cross, to give us a relationship with the father through him.
