  • I see King xD

  • Man I thought Dynamite Kid had the match won after that headbutt, but when Tiger Mask kicked out I knew he was gonna win. What an amazing match.

  • Two great ones in wrestling

  • He tapped at 10:55 !

  • Did Benoit pattern his style after Dynamite because call me crazy but every time he does certain moves I swear I see Benoit.

  • @HachiZenki Yes he did. I idolized Dynamite.

  • @Cap285 Beg your pardon, I meant 'he' as in Benoit did idolize Dynamite, well so do I.

  • Dynamite was the best bump taker of all time. Unfortunatley he's paying for it now. Thje Dynamite vs Tiger Mask series are the best series of matches in Pro Wrestling history. Just my humble opinion

  • Whenever the WWF was doing a show in the same town as the NWA and Randy Savage wanted to go to a bar, out of everyone in the locker room, he handpicked the Dynamite Kid to watch his back. Pretty badass

  • 7:19 damn. The smash into the railings right at the end was a full steam one, DAMN!

  • Ric Flair the greatest wrestler of all time? Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit...Tiger Mask would be considered the greatest ever, if he were an American.

  • It is true that you reap what you sow...his talent gave him money and fame, but his personal demons left him a broken man...nonetheless, absolute respect for the work of these two men, definitely the best!

  • CLASSIC *****W.W.F WORLD'S JR-HEAVYWEIGHT WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH!! THE WORLD.CHAMPIONSHIP-GUT-WRENCH TOMBSTONE-POWER-DRIVER!!!..WAS AWESOME!!! & THEY'RE 30-YEARS AHEAD OF THEIR TIME!!!

  • Tiger's driver finisher is sick!

Dynamite was a helluva bump machine.

  • キッドの「ツームストンパイルドライバー&トップロープからのフライング・ヘッドバッド」!

    それをあえて受けて跳ね返すタイガー! 今見てもやっぱり素晴らしい^^ 黄金時代ですね♪

  • This match is ahead of its time!!!! Dk and tigermask are "real" legends of wrestling

  • This fight puts all wwe wrestling nowadays to shame...shame.

Damn both these guys are awesome

  • 二人ともバネが凄いや

  • 今見ても十分見ごたえある。

  • Crazy to think this is nearly 30 years old, these guys were so far ahead of their time

  • OMG!!!!!!! WHAT A MATCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wwe sucks this is awesom

  • It's almost ridiculous how flawless Kid's suplex is at 5:56.

  • like this if rey mysterio interview sent you here

  • @reecester2k8 faggot

  • KING! DISGRACEFUL KICK!

  • LOL its "king" from tekken

  • @micharulez

And Goldberg is Craig Marduk ^^

  • Funny thing its a battle between Rey Mysterio's idol and Chris Benoit's idol

  • thumbs up if Rey Mysterio brought you here, cuz' Tiger mask brought him there

  • Am i the only one how hears a japanese girl cumming at 4:13

  • Paraplegic

  • Damn. You know a match is ahead of it's time when it could show up on RAW tomorrow and be the best match on the show, and not look even remotely dated.

  • Tom Billington is the best wrestler of all time, absolutley no doubt in my mind. Unfortunatley, as is the case with many other greats (Curt, Davey etc) Personal problems got on his way, sure he was no saint but he was the best damn worker to ever lace a pair of boots.

  • Dynamite and Tiger Mask matches are exceptional, lots of catch wrestling and high spots. What wasn't their fault however - is that practically every small wrestler who could work would then try and copy it over the next 20 years - only without the psychology, so what you had in ECW was a guy doing a moonsault through a flaming table and then the guy gets hit in the head with a chair and schoolboyed for the finish, which isnt wrestling it's just a spot fest

  • @magickarlos Yeah, ECW had alot of "braindead" spotfests with drunken idiots hitting eachother in the head with a chair. But saying that the whole ECW wasn't wrestling is wrong. ECW produced matches like Rob van Dam vs Jerry Lynn , Rob Van Dam vs Lance Storm , Mike Awesome vs Masato Tanaka, Eddie Guerrero vs Chris Benoit ( who idolized Dynamite Kid) which was matches where the chairs was just the icing on the cake. Oh and Jerry Lynn vs Lance Storm which had no weapons just pure wrestling.

  • @1robdougherty You're either joking or an idiot or worse a wwe fanboy.

  • @1robdougherty you must be 12

  • tremendo luchador dynamite kid y el tiger wow

  • All i have to say is the Dynamite kid is the greatest WRESTLERS of the 70's and 80's but his personal life took away his family and his correer but none the less i give him his due he is the toughtest and greatest wrestlers that ever lived even bret said it "pound for pound the dynamite kid is the greatest wrestlers that ever lived" and that was after he trashed stue heart its just very sad to see him a shell of what he once was

  • 終始、なんとなく咬みあわない試合ですね…

  • Wrestling was the Shit back then, now its Dramatic Acting and Rock Music

  • Is that Antonio Inoki at 4:55?

I really like how Dynamite Kid as a foreign wrestler is incorporating American power styles as well as Japanese quick counter styles. Whoever it was that said this style of wrestling was lightyears ahead of it's time is absolutely right. I do find it kind of silly, though, how 3 or 4 counters in this match happen with the opponent just walking out of the way lol. Not enough near falls for me though, 5-star match? Not quite

  • pretty botchy ,but a good match

  • i love it when you guys put this stuff up for us to watch. thanks 'the enforcer'. good stuff.

  • dayum these guys are quick

  • Amazing that Tom Billington, The Dynamite Kid is completely unknown in Britain other than by knowledgeable wrestling fans. The greatest wrestler these shores have ever produced and no-one knows him; he should have his own statue.

  • bit like Dorian Yates. 5 times Mr Olympia but unknown in Britain

  • Comment removed

  • this is my new favorite wrestling match. Unbelievably beautiful match.

  • READ DYNAMITE KIDS BOOK! PURE DYNAMITE!

  • Dynamite Kid was a great technical be4 Chris Benoit

  • The Dynamite Kid along with Tiger Mask (Sayama) put on the best matches ever. as you can see here. I see people debating Dyno getting into the hall of fame. OK if there was a interest in him by casual fans he would be there. I mean, fucking Koko B. Ware is in, why? being a super jobber? Vince only inducts people if he can use their name to sell tickets for the ceremony. The WWE Hall of Fame means about as much as winning a match on Raw, or even winning a title anymore. It doesn't mean shit.

  • dynamite kid deserves a place in the wwe hall of fame. unfortunately he will never be inducted while he is living. in his current health (physical and mental) he has become the epitome of the tragedies of pro wrestling. wwe is trying to avoid being associated with people like him becuz they do not want to be insinuated for being the cause of it.

  • Shit's so visceral and high-octane, professional wrestling at it's finest.

  • In January, I set off for the land of the rising sun, where Tom and I were met by the usual horde of reporters and fans. It was obvious that he was over big in Japan, but I was worried about him. There were times when I had to shoot him up with his steroids because his butt was so knotted up he couldn’t inject himself.

  • Simply incredible athleticism, skill, psychology and great balance with unique moves, sequences and strikes. This is an all time classic - top 1% of all wrestling matches for sure.

  • i'm 13 and this is my favorite match in history, both are legends!

  • its amazing how much the dynamite kids style resembles the late chris benoit, its a shame the dynamite kid is bound to a wheel chair today =(. Tiger Mask was way ahead of his time, just fantastic :D

  • @maggotinfest75 Chris Benoit said in an interview that Dynamite Kid was his inspiration to become a wrestler.

  • is tiger mask still around? alive even?

  • @ericou812

Yes, and he still wrestles sometimes as Super Tiger, but mostly it's rare, He's still alive and STILL in good health

  • 8:51-LOL, how come no one else ever thought of that??

  • @Mp25DIII plenty of indy guys do that now

  • @Mp25DIII I heard that is a very dangerous move and that most wrestlers stay away from it

  • hey guys quick question wasn't Jericho Tiger Mask or am I am completly wrong lol

  • @TheWrestlingGurus i dont think he was ever tiger mask but he was super liger for a short time. ps you guys do kick ass live reactions.

  • @TheWrestlingGurus Tiger Mask i japanese so i highly doubt it

  • gooo tiger mask inventor of the tiger faint kick (619)

  • There's only one problem with matches like these that are years ahead of their time: time catches up with them. It is a phenomenal match, but one that doesn't live up to the hype because when this happened, while the moves were futuristic and they were doing stuff that most wrestlers didn't do in 1982, this is stuff you saw almost weekly on Nitro in some cases.

That's why stuff like Steamboat/Flair ages a lot better because it's the basics done to perfection thus it simply gets better with age.

  • @CombatSportFan No offense, but I disagree. This is considered one of the greatest matches in history as well and is here 28 years later for exactly that reason. Steamboat/Flair is great but these guys flirt with perfection here too.

  • Great match by two of the greatest wrestlers ever. This match is way ahead of its time and would fit in many of the indy promotions like ROH and PWG. These two had amazing chemistry in the ring and are true legends of the business.

  • so smart it i like TIger mask!!! from thailand

  • This is classic wrestling Dynamite was such a inovator in the ring and deserves reconition for his work in the early 80s. I can see how his work is shown or was shown in Beniot. Secondly Japanese wrestling is the best in the world in the current wrestling market seeing as WWE is basicly saying we are fake and TNA being a Joke. Least wrestling fans can turn to japan ROH DragonGate etc. Also great match the matches Dynamite and Tiger Mask had were great.

  • man i can remembe rchris benoit saying tht he idolised dynamite kidd as an idol

  • Its a tragic story how this great talent the Dynamite kid's career ended an his situation of being wheel chair bound an living in low income apartments. He was truly one of the best in the world an the serise of matches him an Bret had in Stamped classic. & This was before before men would enter WWE. Tiger Mask is a Legend 2 also one of the best the world has ever seen.

  • am I right in thinking this was the 1st match dave meltzer gave 5*

  • It's such a shame that the Dynamite Kid will never walk again. In 2005, he also admitted that his left leg was amputated. He also has heart problems too. He probably won't live to see 2015.

  • Great match but "selling" must have been an undiscovered art back then.

  • lets hope vince learns on this video.

  • ^^

don't forget: wwe is no wrestling. it is sports entertainmen...

    crap.

  • The maneuvers that Dynamite Kid and Tiger Mask put on during this match is insane. These two were WAY ahead of their time as far as abilities and execution. If I could see this type of action in the square circle today, than I would be a wrestling fan again.

  • what a fucking match!

i've only ever seen tiger mask against dynamite but ive seen a lot of dynamite and that guy was fucking amazing! way way ahead of his time

  • LOLOLOLOL AT 1508

  • NEVER TAKE DOWN THIS VIDEO. - let see if the smarks can learn from this.

    P.S Nice one, TheEnforcer.

  • 1982年の試合か DDT、場外投げ捨てブレーンバスター、最後の垂直落下と・・・

    何だか、最近よくある格闘技のショボイ試合よりも、よっぽど楽しめた

  • Definetly.

  • Lol at 12.00 it looked like he was gonna do king's bridge

  • its called ceiling hold, not king's bridge

  • ITS KING

  • Which tiger mask is this? Like, which "number"?

  • It's 1st tiger mask named Satoru Sayama.

  • The dive at 16:07 is just SPECTACULAR!

  • Dynamite influenced Benoit and Davey RIchards so much. This match definatley proves how much of a pioneer he was back in the day

  • To me, Benoit was like a Dynamite clone in terms of style and physique.

  • Benoit idolized Dynamite Kid growing up. He emulated his style after him.

  • yeah and sadly he followed toms addiction to roids 2 great wrestlers 2 tragic stories

  • Match was easily 10 to 15 years ahead of its time till benoit, malenko, guerrero came in and still i believe to this day this match is about another 4 years ahead of what techincal/puro wrestling is.

  • These guys have some moves the guys today wouldn't dare. Some of this shit would require so much precision to avoid dislocating your opponents shoulder etc. These days it's more about who can jump the highest.

  • fuck king from TEKKEN play station =P

  • very spettacular match... great Tiger mask

  • This type of wrestling was light years ahead of it's time. This didn't get big in the states until Mid-Late 90's w/ ECW. Wrestling in the states stinks...can't even watch it anymore...

  • Your not watching the right wrestling.

  • @galilee416 exactly i was thinking the same thing that thier series of matches reminded me of RVD vs jerry lynn, only with less long spots and more of a improvised style, which is crazy for 1983

  • @galilee416

Give ROH or PWG a try. It's great stuff.

  • @galilee416 Japan's not exactly far behind these days. AJPW and even NJPW both adopted a more sports entertainment oriented style in the late 90s and early part of the 00s to retaliate against the boom of Pride. Noah was the only one that maintained its 100% stance on straight puroresu.

  • @galilee416 i agree i love japan period *watches anime* *eats pocky*

  • the problem with todays wrestling is that its more of a show or a circus infested with steroids, to many lights and stupid entrances they should go back to just good ol fashioned wrestling

  • you have a problem with roids in wrestling and your a fan of dynamite kid? that just doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

  • Comment removed

  • good ol fashioned wrestling dosnt Sell

  • good ol fashioned wrestling does sell... when you have a billionaires money to throw around eg wcw and wwe both promotions had alot of good wrestling in their prime

  • The moonday night Wars Had allot of shit when it comes to wrestling i don't know what your talking about

  • Dynamite Kid was very talented, as Tiger Mask, Tiger Mask was a main eventer all over the world, except USA, this wraslin was not, and still is not what we are given as fans, AAA and CMLL are on weekly if you enjoy this type of wraslin, and WWE is "Sports Entertainment" not wraslin.

  • god if the WWF in the 80's was based on ability rather than looks Dynamite would be world champ and Hogan would have been doing dark matches

  • I have to agree with goanyways, this was truly ahead of its time. I have to admit, before seeing this, I didn´t know that wrestling was THIS spectacular so many years ago. Although I´ve seen the British Bulldogs in the mid-80´s. The speed and agility displayed in this match is most impressive !

  • Y'know their are other wrestling promotion apart from the piece-of-shit WWE. Watch AAA or CMLLfor wrestling ;)

  • Dynamite Kid was really one of the most underrated wrestlers in the world... He got skills in both single and in tag-team wrestling and he had passion towards wrestling. I hope he'll get the place in WWE HoF, he really deserves it!

  • @J31k89 He was a great wrestler, but hes a wifebeating piece of shit outside the ring. Thats what I read. Def no Hall of Famer. He paved the way, earns respect but no HOF for the Kid.

  • @Icedout911 you know Im sick of wrestlers getting this stereotype of whatever happens in there personal life it effects their job. Thats bull shit. The Kid along with Beniot were 2 of the best the WRESTLING world had ever seen. Yeah what they did in their personal life isn't cool. But what they did in their profession is legendary an you sir can't deny the impact they made on the business. Hell if not for Kid you wouldn't see half the shit u in wrestling today.

  • @EmoKilla420 They were one of the greatest in wrestling til they fucked up.

I dont say wrestler = drug addict, this would be stereotype

Im just talking how it is:

Benoit killed a kid. Hows that less important than how good someone can wrestle?

Or how can a guy like this be in any Hall of Fame?

Kid deserves respect for what he did for wrestling. But he is no hall of famer. He just a guy who had a lot of talent. like Scott Hall.

They had impact but its all gone now. Such is life...

  • @Icedout911 Don't compare Beniot to Scott Hall. Scott Hall was great yes but Beniot was on a totally different level. Im still one of those people who believe theres more to the Beniot Story than just him killing his family. U like the other media followers believe everything u've hear which could only be half truths. Beniot does Desever a spot in the Hall Of Fame for his accomplishments. His Personal life like i said should not have anything to do with a Hall Of Fame induction.

  • @EmoKilla420 Dont get me wrong I was a huge Benoit Fan since WCW

I didnt care what he did in his personal life til he did this murder.

Maybe you can still like his old matches but can you seriously wish for Benoit being in the Hall of Fame? What he did is a damn shame!

Were talking off topic either way. I l watched this match because I love Tiger Mask I ! (and II of course!)

    btw:

NJPW is on Youtube: nice Wild Pegasus - Thunder Liger match on there.

  • @EmoKilla420 As for Benoit, he was my favorite superstar of all time and still is along with HBK. Benoit should still be mentioned in the WWE simply because he was one of the best things they ever had!

  • @MuffinManTF I fully agree with you. He Made the WWE alot of money.

  • @MuffinManTF i know what you mean, he was a good wrestler but i can understand why they don't mentiion him. there would be an uproar of people complaining if they did.

  • @J31k89 He doesn't deserve a future place in the HoF. He should have already been there. He derserved to be WWE champion. If Davey Boy gets in the HoF and not Dynamite, I'll be pissed!!!

  • @J31k89 Somehow, I doubt he'd accept it. He didn't exactly leave the WWF on good terms.

  • @J31k89 unfortunately dynamite goes in the box with brody, benoit, and a whole list of other MORE THAN QUALIFIED WRESTLERS who will never be allowed in wwe's hall of fame.

  • @J31k89 too bad he was a complete dick who burned every bridge he crossed and stabbed all of his friends in the back hes never getting into the hof

  • if i had one wish it would be to meet dynamite kid

i salute you one incredible perfomer

    greatest wrestler ever

  • It takes two masters of their craft to put on a classic like this. Two all time greats. Shame what became of Dynamite.

  • flying body attack.. nice one

  • Dynamite kid rules, i dont think people realise how good this fella was. credit were credits due. Hall of fame 2010 anyone??

  • wow that scoop off the ropes piledriver by tiger looked so real... perfect camera angle to hide tigers legs hitting the mat first... at least i hope they did, that looked very real

  • holy crap this was 27 years ago, wayy ahead of it's time.

  • dynamite kid fucking rules he invented the superplex lol

  • the diving headbutts are devastating.....they completely demented Chris Benoit and crippled Dynamite Kid.....that´s why they have banned them

  • Impresionante Tiger mask.

  • I just saw the Dynamite Kid's diving headbutt and it looks like he actually was able to hit his opponent with his head/upper body. Chris Benoit often seemed to miss his opponent completely!

  • Last week's Raw main event had no actual wrestling - it was just kicks, punches, and finishers!

Combining moves, developing flow and drama in a match, and acrobatic skill -- these are things that are sorely missing nowadays.

It makes what Dynamite Kid and Tiger Mask do in this video seem even more impressive.

  • great match ,insane moves !

  • The impressive bout /show? beyond language barrier ! (BTW, I' m 日本人 \(・o・)/ ) I believe that was the happiest day of PURORESU/ PRO-WRESTLING. What do you guys think of it ? Domo arigato !

  • i have watched rey since he was an underage kid doing 6-mans in mexico city. his pre-unmasking work in WCW was just frikkin amazing. before that, he was a walking highlight reel in ECW and AAA. now, i can't say that he's at the same level. WWe has turned him into a spot monkey

  • Dynamite reminds me so much of Chris Benoit. Its kind of creepy.

I guess its their similar style and backrounds.

  • It's 'cause Benoit modeled his style after Dynamite.

  • tiger man the best

  • Dynamite Kid is the greatest pure wrestler of his generation, maybe even of all time.

  • I blame Vincent Kennedy McMahon (glorified mobster) for turning Dynamite into a douchebag

  • este wey de dinamite kid era el idolo del

animal de chris benoit, con todo respeto para dinamite kid

saludos a todos los amantes de la lucha libre

  • I WANNA SEE THE 5 STARS MATCH! Anyone knows where can I find it?

  • the 5 stars match is on dailymotion i saw it there

  • Thank you very much!

  • awesome! a real life king!

  • Phenomenal match.

  • Amazing match!!! It only happen in Japan!!! WWE sucks!!!

  • When I first saw Tiger Mask I (Saturo Sayama) which was 2x in the WWF early '80s, One word described him best, EXPLOSIVE !!

  • Man I love youtube! I can watch all kinds of matches! I had a best of dynamite kid vhs tape a few years ago but it was stolen. there was a tiger mask vs. dynamite kid match on it but i don't know if it was this match or not. thank you for posting it!

  • I love tiger mask but he's kind of overrated compared to other luchadores. he was certainly very influential with people unfamiliar with the lucha libre style but people act like he invented that style of wrestling when there were similar luchadores like el solitario who debuted back in 1960. he's also falsely credited with inventing the Tiger Suplex which was actually created by Alfonso Dantes.

  • I think the lucha libre style goes back to at least the 20's in Mexico.

But I think he (Sayama) was so highly rated because at the time, he was having some of the best matches in the world.

He actually knew martial arts too, which many wrestlers (including luchadores) didn't and don't.

  • actually, m mascaras, santo & other luchadores practiced judo & the style that sayama used was very similar to other luchadores before him. one major reason he was so highly rated was because NJPW would bring in biggest foreign wrestlers as heels in order to make tiger look good and increase his popularity. i also think cmll did a bad job of promoting their wrestlers, they believed broadcasting fights would decrease ticket sales so there's not alot of video footage of some of the great matches

  • Yup, other wrestlers had/have serious martial arts backgrounds, but most don't, including some very talented luchadores.

Was Sayama having some of the world's best matches because of who he was put up against? Sure, that was part of it. But it takes two to tango, and the thing is, he didn't need big names to make him "look" that good - he really was that good, and this is coming from a guy who has never been a big fan of that style.

  • Of course it takes two wrestlers to make a great match, but because Tiger won the majority of them, he obviously received the biggest push. Tiger is one of my favorite wrestlers and he was def. one of the most talented of his day. my point was that some give him credit for being an entirely revolutionary wrestler because he was the first cruiserweight luchador they had seen. while influential guys like solitario who had a similar style and came along earlier go largely unnoticed outside mexico

  • Ok. True.

  • I actually like the mat based lucha libre better actually. wrestlers like Blue Demon Jr, Blue Panther, El Hijo Del Santo, etc.

  • Blue Demon Jr. is painful to watch.
