I've never seen Ohara, but like any 80s show, it still had that nostalgic effect. I think it all boils down to saxophones and VHS hiss. And the fact that nobody I see has a clue what TV in 1994 will look like, much less in a flat rectangle.
This has probably already been said but, "The Tortelli's" was a spin off of "Cheers" The star Dan Hedeya played Carla's ex. Also, Jean Kasem was or is the wife of Casey Kasem. The famous radio personality. I said was or is the wife cause I do not know if they're still married.
I slightly remember Ohara from growing up in the '80s. It always seemed to me that Pat Morita was essentially reprising his Mr. Miyagi role in the show.
Wow I didnt know Pat Morita had a show I was probly like 8 years old when it came out lol, and Kevin Conroy who's known to many as the voise of batman was in too? thats awsome
he he wax on wax off I think his only very memoriable role will be happy days not as much as Ohara not saying the show sucked or anything looks like a good show I would have watched every episode if I knew about it
wow! back when shows that didn't even last long had cool opens ... considering that shows have little or no opens or closes these days.. I guess we will never see a TV theme song become a popular tune anyone

Oh wow, I had almost forgotten about Ohara. I used to watch that. It was kinda cool.
I'm just kinda staggered by all the hairsprayed big 80's hair. Bringing back some memories best forgotten! LOL

@odog65 I remember wondering why this and Hooperman got the axe so fast. Dang ABC. Oh, and Morita also played Achoo on Sanford and Son, lol.

I like the opening sequence to The Tortellis, with its slot machine.
