Vindictus and C9 are very similar but i'm going to be leaning towards c9 since the beta test is coming out in a few days *got vip key woot :)*. Other than that both games are excellent in the end so i'm going to be playing both of them and comparing overtime and make a decision :D

Depending on the location as well, I do believe and hear to be true also from reading up, Japan and other places closer within Asia usually get the game. If it's F2P then it's not worth playing. The only exception that i'd make is for Torchlight mmorpg version once that comes out in 2012 as that's more of a hack n slash dungeon crawler being made by the old Diablo team.
I am loving the combos and attacks in this game.. Blows Vindictus out of the water. Just about everything is better from the looks of it.
These guys should do what Nexon failed to do and thats release the game in the US / EU as a stand alone title for 30-40$ and work off of box sales. Free online play of course. Exactly like the Guild Wars setup.

@dragonxanimation They have those games in Japan, But not many for online. Think about it, having games like that wouldn't be MMO. The experience for other players online may be very bland after awhile, dying instantly especially against skilled players, games that you don't die quick is an easy balance for newbie players, casual and pro RPG gamers. I understand you, you must be looking in another area for that type of game.

@utong Hahah, yes i played C9 as well,from low levels to endgame.
There's much more variety than Vindictus and there are many combinations that can be done to kill a monster.You don't have to stick with the same gear and weapons for 15 levels long.
Animations for males and females don't look similar like in Vindictus and customization is a lot more intense.
Also, it's less "Asian stylized" so Americans will like it a lot more.

this game seems nice but if Nexon or IJJI or even worst gpotatoe will host them you can all kiss this game's F2P goodbye coz those "hosts" fuck everything up. Other than that this seems nice.
I would basically say it might be a game but the problem is that it is free, I mean as a category. Free games dont at often be as successful sometimes. @WarrenAch You are correct but if the MMO is free, but I dont expect that much of that kind of category game to be Excellent so I wont get into detail about how they suck i'll just talk about the few good MMOs that are free. Mostly alot have flaws, and so does S4 League in management. I'll be pissed and disappointed if C9 was p2p though.
1:This just came out in Korea as an Official Release.
2:Japan doesn't have it yet(we have to wait they get first till U.S./Europe get it.)
3:Translating and updating takes time with this kind of games.
Conclusion:Don't expect anything related to C9(Continent of the Ninth)being released in both NA/EU till at least Q3 of 2011.
Now guys,stop asking when it will come out,it will take long enough for U.S./Euro publishers to buy the game rights and pay the Dev team to translate the game.

@WarrenAch none of those companies offer a game that you can buy gear in the cash shop. Only small help items like faster xp gain potions, or cloaks that make you stand out in the crowd and some items that give you 1% more resistance that all people have. So whats your point?

If it's F2P then it's not worth playing. The only exception that i'd make is for Torchlight mmorpg version once that comes out in 2012 as that's more of a hack n slash dungeon crawler being made by the old Diablo team.

I am loving the combos and attacks in this game.. Blows Vindictus out of the water. Just about everything is better from the looks of it.
These guys should do what Nexon failed to do and thats release the game in the US / EU as a stand alone title for 30-40$ and work off of box sales. Free online play of course. Exactly like the Guild Wars setup.

@dragonxanimation They have those games in Japan, But not many for online. Think about it, having games like that wouldn't be MMO. The experience for other players online may be very bland after awhile, dying instantly especially against skilled players, games that you don't die quick is an easy balance for newbie players, casual and pro RPG gamers. I understand you, you must be looking in another area for that type of game.

@WarrenAch if you are truly in the Vindictus Closed Beta, I can only say how bad i feel for the people who did not get one who know more about games then you do did not get your spot. For that i feel bad that Nexon wasted a key on you. Vindictus is in its early stages of development. That is what "BETA" means. To many of you young kids don't understand that and expect that the first time you play a game it should be perfect. The fact of the matter is BETA is not to show off all its content/moves

@WarrenAch About your Vindictus comment, I think 1 of 2 things. A) You are not even in the CB and you are one of those raging kids who is pissed that they did not get a key, then begged everyone else for one when the CBT'ers where giving 2 keys to give away.
B) You have very little knowledge of how to judge any type of games and your facts and points are so far from stupid i would expect someone who is not a gamer to know more then you do about games.

Lets look at the big picture. Tell me a game thats Free to Play and hosts events like Blizzard does (BlizzCon) P2P and F2P have two VERY different marketing techniques and CAN NOT be compared in anyway.

@utong I am a Vindictus beta tester as well and i must say that the game itself lacks of everything.
-The gameplay is repetitive,from quests to dungeons.
-The fighting system consists of hitting the same fucking key for 20 levels long till you unlock some new skills.
-Classes are gender locked,fail.
--Customization is extremely limited.
-Animations are boring as hell,so much asian/manga mixes in it that only a small portion of americans will like it.
Overall conclusion:Fail product.

I know some dudes who got to endgame quite faste and found it repetitive as fuck.
Don't pull me out that stupid Beta excuse,even WoW Beta was better than this piece of shit.
Ask any Marketing Manager specializing in Gaming,he will tell you that Vindictus is coming in the wrong time of the year and will not be able to compete with today's MMOs.
Not everyone is going to play a Naruto style MMO,be sure of that.

@utong Hahah, yes i played C9 as well,from low levels to endgame.
There's much more variety than Vindictus and there are many combinations that can be done to kill a monster.You don't have to stick with the same gear and weapons for 15 levels long.
Animations for males and females don't look similar like in Vindictus and customization is a lot more intense.
Also, it's less "Asian stylized" so Americans will like it a lot more.

@WarrenAch there you go, now I will look forward for this game then, if it goes to NA that is, i'm really liking action MMO and I'm ready to explore games to games and see what really shines, since Vindictus is the only action rpg (next gen f2p that is) that's available for me to play atm, it's hard to compare to games i haven't played yet. i'm looking forward for C9 and tera (there's one more that i forgot the title) if they become available for testing.

@utong There is absolutely no way that's the end game. It was a tutorial. The damage they were hitting for was like in the 30's and 90's. End game is 5k - 10k - 20k.

I would basically say it might be a game but the problem is that it is free, I mean as a category. Free games dont at often be as successful sometimes. @WarrenAch You are correct but if the MMO is free, but I dont expect that much of that kind of category game to be Excellent so I wont get into detail about how they suck i'll just talk about the few good MMOs that are free. Mostly alot have flaws, and so does S4 League in management. I'll be pissed and disappointed if C9 was p2p though.

1:This just came out in Korea as an Official Release.
2:Japan doesn't have it yet(we have to wait they get first till U.S./Europe get it.)
3:Translating and updating takes time with this kind of games.
Conclusion:Don't expect anything related to C9(Continent of the Ninth)being released in both NA/EU till at least Q3 of 2011.
Now guys,stop asking when it will come out,it will take long enough for U.S./Euro publishers to buy the game rights and pay the Dev team to translate the game.

Once this game hits North America and Europe,if the publisher is either ijji,Nexon or gPotato,expect this game to suck big time because they will make it "free" to download,once ingame,you'll have to pay to enjoy the game at 100% and the PvP fields will be full of those retarded Cash Shop maniacs 1 shotting everybody because they paid 500 bucks for they full gear.

@WarrenAch none of those companies offer a game that you can buy gear in the cash shop. Only small help items like faster xp gain potions, or cloaks that make you stand out in the crowd and some items that give you 1% more resistance that all people have. So whats your point?

Nexon=Combat Arms is fucked up since they sell Avatars having more speed and armor with smaller hitboxes + over powered weapons.Maplestory is great for an MMO cashshop but i never saw this kind of system on a 3D MMO anyways.
gPotato=Try Allods,you'll see the perfect recipe,how to fuck up a game with 1 patch.70% of the community left this company.Nuff'said.

@WarrenAch This gaqme is going to be more closely related to Last Chaos, 2 Moons, and games like that, you get the full game for free, there are just special items suck as exp boosts, costumse and weapon skind that will cost real cash. But we should still be able to enjoy this game fully. Now I am pretty pissed with Nexon though because one of their fucking Moderators tricked me into buying a full membership in Mabinogi saying I only had to pay once for a lifetime of gamming but it expired......

@djrushkralj Yes, but like I said the special items only change the appearence of the selected weapon, I can't imagine the weapons themselves selling for nearly as much as the skins that you put on the weapons, I hate it when people on these games sell their crap for like 500mil gold when the damn item isn't rare in any way, and their easy to get.

@Xyntech06 Thats one game. Nexon forces you to use nx in every game. Like in CA all the good guns are nx ONLY. In SF guns are available in gcoin and in game sp. That's why I would pick ijji over nexon anyday.

@MrPivotAmature I played the Korean version of Vindictus and i can tell you that this game is not "so great"...
Yes,good graphics,good physics,good combat mechanics.
But classes are gender locked,customization is horrible and you have to stick with the same gear for a good 30 levels.
Example of gender locking:You can be a Mage,but only female,so if you're a male,you'll be stuck playing a female character to enjoy the class.
C9 Will definitely better IF it doesn't fall into greedy hands.

@WarrenAch Doubt it most games like this require skill>equipment because you have to block, dodge,and you flinch once you get hit. It's not like those mmos where you just click on a player or monster and wait for your character to own them, in those kinda games equipment matters
