If Austrian economics is so great, why hasn't it ever been done before, even in Austria? But Ron Paul is right: The Republicans talk a big "smaller government" game, and never do it. Some of them also talk a big Austrian economics game and never do it.
The SchittReport, as always, released this same video, and titled it "Ron Paul owned by Chris Wallace", obviously, like always, he has comments locked down to 'appending approval' and ratings disabled...
What an asshole...he even goes as far to imply 'Paul was squirming under questioning and called out on his flip flopping'...where was that? XD...
Wow this guy is trying to so hard to get Ron Paul to slip up or make him seem racist. So, let me get this straight, because Dr. Ron Paul wants for property to be private, that means he must advocate a restaurant not wanting to serve blacks. That's really what you choose to ask him when the issue of private property comes up, and you make an argument of advocating discrimination? Not that I should be surprised by the choice of questions by mainstream media.
what normal person would deny doing business with blacks , people in business can;t afford to turn business his answer I think is to en-compuss all people even the nuts who hate for no reason or racial reasons ,
this reporter is trying to seperate Paul from the Black vote , Paul needs all the votes across racial and political lines to win because the bankers are strong , What black people should be thinking is do they want the banks running this country or someone Like Ron Paul , would the black people want JP Morgan or Lincoln in charge , Corporation vs Statesman , the thing about Ron Paul that most people don't realize yet except about him ( he will always have the same view )
So, according to Ron Paul, private enterprises can choose not to hire african americans, just because he respects their private property rights? He is in so many ways like that grumpy old uncle who at times is witty and wise but is best ignored generally.
@srs132 According to you, people should be forced to hire others at the point of a gun? Liberty requires that we recognize property rights and the rights of people to freely contract with each other.
@srs132 On the contrary. While racism is ignorant and the most grotesque form of collectivism, people do have a right to be racist. It's called Freedom of Association. Bear in mind that this does not hold outside of private property (the government cannot be racist, though it once was when it forced segregation through Jim Crowe Laws).
Freedom of association grants a right to being a racist?? You must be someone who believes in intrinsic rights! If so, I have no more to say to you. I was there once - now I am older. I do not see rights in isolation - rights always are qualified with the society it is in.
@gneissday Good take on the law. The Constitution protects your right to think or feel anything that you want, also protecting your right to express your views. I think SRS132 was saying that people cannot be granted the liberty to 'act out' their racist beliefs, like by not hiring one group or another. I agree, I don't think the constitution gives you any specific right to be racist in your actions toward others. While it also, in a way, protects your right to be a racist. tuff one!
@srs132 That's exactly what I'm saying, it's a tricky question. You can't deny someone the right to yell fire in a movie theater, what if theres a fire? It is just as difficult a question with the business/black question. If you take away my right to refuse service to anyone I wish there is another problem. What if the guy behind the black guy is the guy who just raped my daughter, or is a Nazi, or just smells really bad? Shouldn't I have the right to say 'NO' ?? Again, tough question
@srs132 I certainly don't agree with or condone racism. I think it is a form of mental illness, akin to an inferiority or superiority complex. However, When dealing with human rights in America, there are lots of tricky questions, I think that is why Ron Paul is asked this one. There is no correct answer. By giving us the right to have this conversation, the Constitution also gives us the right to say hateful/racist things too. All the laws in the world can't replace good behavior.
@srs132 Should the government be allowed to make you wear a condom in your bed? He clearly states that in his belief, that all homes, businesses and religious places are private property. Did you know that a business today can refuse women, Mexicans, Muslims, Bostonians, people with tatoos, but not refuse an African American? Does that make sense to you? And if you remove the "you can't refuse anyone" right, then do all businesses have to accept people not wearing shoes or shirts?
Government (by your very own libertarian principles) is allowed to make laws regulating an individuals behavior in public. You can choose to be naked in your bed, but a libertarian govt. hopefully takes action against individuals who choose to be naked in public. All this does not derive or is related to any 'inherent' right to nudity. Don't look at any law in isolation.
@srs132 let me ask you something , now that the Black people have had a taste of success and are honing themselves for excellence in the job market place , why would they let themselves be dumbed down with a TSA job when they can improve themselves and go into production and help jump start the industrial sector , what happen to Blacks in the past is reprehensible , those should be past wounds ,but, the bankers want to open them up again to take control , I hope that you see that
Bankers, TSA?? The question is a simple one: Should a business be allowed to refuse service to blacks? Regardless of political affiliations, any prospective president's answer should be a clear and emphatic 'NO' without a skewed history of property rights. A 'YES' would also be a clear response.
I'm starting to hear RON PAUL is to old; hogwash. Look at all the great NFL coaches calling plays and running up and down the sidelines that are Ron's age or even older. With age comes wisdom, and a leader that will guide the youngster's, i.e. the new generation, in the right direction, the Constitutional way, the American way.
RON PAUL supporters are LOSERS if they can't get this Honest man Elected.
Before the caucus comes to your state you have to go find 1 voter a week (3 in NH and SC)that are not voting Paul and educate them on Paul. Then drag them to go vote. Also have them do the same.
There are so many people not voting get them out and VOTE! Your vote is NOT wasted! Go vote and bring a friend!
You are to blame if we don't get him elected. Drag people to vote! Upto 90% don't vote? That's Criminal.
He is the only candidate who comes off as genuine when answering questions. I can see he did avoid answering questions exactly how they wanted him to answer them but he never seems to be hiding anything when he talks. He never gets all Hollywood fake worked up over answering questions and I think he would be the only straight up honest president.
Mitt Romney isn't even a Republican conservative he is a moderate candidate, f*cking dumb Republicans who vote for Mittens might as well vote for Obama.
So instead of Government tyranny, he advocates more private tyranny, cool.

Right to be racist is in a way similar to right to shout fire in a crowded theater. A law protecting such a right for individuals is insane.
