  • Very curious

  • i agree this was one of my favorite tv shows growing up in the seventies. i wish gerry anderson would do a new version of the series. please dont let america do it because they'll either turn it into a romantic novel or some boring science fiction sitcom. europeans always seem to get it right like space 1999;captain scarlet;ufo;thunderbirds, and star maidess. i bet you a lot of people forgot about star maidens.

  • @real7060

Indeed I do remember Star Maidens. It was interesting. But it wasn't exactly my cup of tea.

  • @camuledon i feel the same way,but its refreshing to know that there are still some true science fiction buffs around.

  • friggin brilliant: )

  • Amazing & excellent job . . . impeccable render too ! "UFO" a great show . . . Congrat and Thanks!!!

  • Very cool - the surface explosion was wonderfully rendered. Even down to the unfortunate Sky craft bobbing away, looking most forlorn and vulnerable....

Big thanks for the docking sequence too.

  • I hate to see Skydiver go down like that, two of them even, but that was nothing short of beautiful! I'd always wanted to see Sky 1 reattach itself to the main sub. Thanks!

  • @richardathome65 i thought it was refreshing because in the original sitcom you never saw the ufo's down shado. it added an extra deminsion to it.

  • very good job!!

  • I have the complete set of UFO on DVD...was great show although a bit before my time (was born in 66) I love old sci fi better than some of the stuff out today

  • I saw these messed up recently put out archives from january, everyone gotta go see them. Stop by ufosecretXnet (replace X with . ) and then take a look through them!

  • wtf was that?

  • Derek Meddings model work looked cooler...

  • Oh, and next time have the Skydivers win :?}

  • Great stuff. The accompanying delta-wing type alien craft--is that from some other show or your design?

  • Yes. It is the rogue UFO head of our giant rampaging robot -- Big HARV -- Heavily Armed Rampaging Robot -- from our film INVADER.

  • who needs Hollywood anymore ??? with talent like this hollywood is a hasbeen

  • Great job!!

  • Excellent animation!

  • cool sound effects

  • Fantastic just totally out of this world cool.

  • Great use of the camera especially with the purple ship at the end. Nice work!

  • I would love to be able to animate like this. I have been at it for one year now but I see I have a lot to learn. How long have you been at it and did you go to school? I'm subscribing.

  • Hey cool! They never showed SkyDiver re-dock after a mission on the show!

  • Amazing!

What software do you use to model and animate with?

Lightwave or 3dmax for modeling, and Maya for animation?

    Thanks for the great video!

  • Hi,

Thanks for the interest. I used Lightwave 7 for the animation and modelling. SkyDiver was built by the talented Don Showalter -- also in Lightwave. I made and animated everything else.

  • Thanks for the information!

I myself have Lightwave 9.2, but I really haven't done anything with it yet, concentrating instead on learning Maya. But looking at your great video has now inspired me to fiddle with Lightwave again.

  • Dude can I have sex with your CGI skills?

  • Very Cool!!!!!!!! this is something I often Wondered about! thank You!

  • Some really cool CGI! Great work, hope to see more!

  • AWESOME Thank YOU

  • As always, excellent work! Underwater CGI scenes boggle my mind. I've been too intimidated to even attempt them. This stuff looks great!
