the purpose of an i/o shield is to protect from static interference. dust isn't a problem because the air is being sent out the back anyway. if anything you'll get more dust buildup on the inside.
OMG thank you soo much for this video! i thought my IO shield was glowed on cuz' it wouldn't come out no matter how much force i used with my fingers. the shit just didn't wanted to come out til' i whipped out my hammer.
@mrRocstar96 I hate that goddamn thing! It was causing some weird problem with the powersupply so I took it out and the computer works perfectly. This video didn't help me at all! How are you supposed to put the motherboard in with all those fucking pins and shit in the way?
Your mobo will work fine/better without the io shield.
