Frances J. Bellamy, 85, mother of David and Howard Bellamy, the famed Bellamy Brothers, whose crossover country appeal led to hits such as "Let Your Love Flow," died Christmas Eve.

The daughter of Johnny and Katie Cooper, Frances Bellamy was born in a Turkey Creek strawberry field in 1924, Howard Bellamy said.

Although his mother had a good sense of humor and knew how to have a good time, she could also "kick your butt when you needed it," Howard Bellamy said.
