Man, until today I had NO IDEA I could sprout grains!!! I'd sprout the ones I have now, except I want to make some bread for Family Promise to bring to Church tomorrow. But I'll be looking at Food Co-op for that sprouting container. I won't go all vegan raw, but I'll definitely incorporate these other things and try to make my own bread (along with buying Ez. or Gen. Bread).
@BluefruitNMusicSnow Shoot, is it?? Yeah my holistic provider who said I need to diss the wheat said I could eat that stuff! I have a vita mix blender and 2 stores in the local area (at least) that I can buy grains I weigh myself, so I am fixin' to have myself a field day! Oh by the way, Genesis Bread if you haven't tried it is SOOOOO GOOOOOD too! : )
I somehow found you today & I thank God for all the hard work & detailed posts you give!! You have no clue the impact these have had on my life already- THANK YOU THANK YOU!
The second picture with the bread on the cutting board is from Berlin Natural Bakery. I eat their bread and absolutely love it. What is even better is that they recently became Non-GMO Project verified from the Non GMO Project which is an amazing accomplishment! They are the very first bakery to get this verification so it is definitely exciting knowing they are committed to only using pure ingredients in their products!
Ive been looking for a good bread substitute myself, at not much success. I used to eat Ezekiel bread purely for the taste and texture. But recently, since starting to go raw I took a closer look at Ezekiel Bread because it was the closest thing I could find to raw bread. Unfortunately it is cooked, so it's not raw. It has been cooked at a must lower temperature then traditional bread, But it's still a huge bonus that the grains used have been sprouted. So a much healthier bread.
@shortyjess86 have you taken a look at berlin natural bakery products? They are really good and so pure. Let me know if you have any questions. I am a raving fan.
@dizzydaisygal If you can't have wheat, have you ever tried spelt? People with wheat allergies may be able to safely eat spelt products. The only legitimate spelt bread company that makes their products with 100% pure genuine german spelt is Berlin Natural Bakery. Let me know if you have any further questions.
I have a raw veggie salad that helps get me through the day I just love it. Shredded cabbage or the raw bag of cole slaw, chopped celery, shredded carrots, chopped onions, raisens, sunflower seed and or chopped or sliced almonds. Tasts really good. I sometime use a little maple syrup B, Grade from the maple tree.
Thank you so much!!! Your knowledge is amazing and quite helpful!!! What I'm afraid of is losing weight. I am 5'6" and 125 pounds. I want to eat healthy but it looks like I'll lose a lot of weight eating these foods. What can I do?
@PruneSucree@PruneSucree Nuts and seeds are enzyme inhibitors, and to neutralize them they like beans, let's say, must be soaked six; seven hours or overnight. I've read a few articles on it.
@elise121205 You could probably find them at whole foods. I would also recommend that you go check out Berlin Natural Bakery products. They are my favorite.
so, i started raw and it has been 3 days and i feel very tired, weak and sleepy and i do exercise a lot. is that normal. i feel like i am going to die. what do you suggest eating. i have only been eating fruits and salads and drinking water and fresh juices. please advise.
Your body is going through detox, which means that your body is presently at work to heal itself and rid itself of toxic materials that are in your body's cells. You'll feel like this for a week or so, but detox symptoms greatly depends upon the person. Be sure to drink tons of water to help flush your system.
It's been a few days for me too and I feel about like Joshrain1 , also my head aches and feels super heavy and hot, does that mean I'm going through detox too ? I wonder because I'm not completely raw, I still have some fish and a few grilled peanuts. I thought I was lacking food so I overeat but I actually don't feel hungry, is this bad ?
@joshrain1 Ok try eating raw nuts and seedz, coconut date rolls from Tidal Creek or Lovey's, try to make raw bread pick up raw oats (at the health food store)take one cup of oats and blend to a fine flour and add dash of salt and add water till doughy and u can roll it out finnallllyyy roll and put in dehydrator for 10 hrs.
@joshrain1. i dont think you should not exercise a lot... plus do it slowly that your body adjust.. otherwise you can do more harm than to help... it has been year maybe you have learned by this time and you are in good health
Is it ok to toast the bread or will it lose some of the nutritional value? And can you give me some suggestions on what to put on the bread? I tried it with apple butter and almond butter it tasted ok but nothing to brag about.
I've toasted it and I'm sure it did alter the enzymes in the bread. I've put nut butter on it along with honey. You can put anything on the bread that you'd like, but with the texture being so different, it may not be so tasty. I guess it all depends upon the person. The texture and flavor of the bread is very different so it's probably best all by it self.
This was an amazing video. I've eaten Ezekiel bread, but didn't know they also make other kinds of products (the store I get it from only carries Ezekiel).
I learned so much! Thank you for taking the time to create this great vid!
You are great! I'm struggling during my transition into the Raw food lifestyle and bread is so very hard for me to give up...until now! A million thanks!
Great suggestions! I've seen some of these in stores but have not tried them.... When you get a chance try Lydia's Organic Raw Sunflower Seed Bread. It's made in a dehydrator at low temperatures & is delicious. It only takes a few seconds to rehydrate. I relied on it more in the beginning - but now it's a great to have in between efforts to refine my recipes at home.
the ezekiel line is pretty good. it's really a palette awakeninh though. because we think we know what these grains taste like but we dont.till we have them in this way- unrefined. havent yet done research on this but how exactly are grains sprouted?
Luckily there are some good sprouting lesson videos here @ Youtube. You can check my Playists for "Raw Food: How to Sprout Grains & Seeds." ....I know what you mean re: "palette awakening." When I went to Europe that's what I experienced when I ate bread in places I visited. Real grains, not disguised at all! Wasn't long before I grew to appreciate that over most store bought breads I'd been eating (USA). Where I went in Scandinavia one slice was common to have with the meat/veggies on top.
I eat this bread every day and in 6 months my cock has increased 6" in length and 2" in girth.
I now have endless women kicking in my door for sex and my income has tripled too.
Thanks to Jesus and this Christian Bread.

No, just make sure your seeds and nuts are raw, meaning they haven't been heated or processed.
