  • 0:41 lawsuit time.

  • I GOT HERE FROM NFL.COM BITCHES

  • wilbert rosales porugal desde cd juarez chihuahua mexico: no mamen mis respetos por el avance tecnologico en este planeta buen video gracias por compartir!!!

  • Ah yes. 1:16

  • i get a robot playing a string instrument, but how do you get one to play a wind instrument? esp brass...you have to buzz your lips...i'd like to see how they do that...

  • It's out of tune. I don't care, it's out of tune!

  • yes sure robot play trumpet

  • Comment removed

  • At 0.38 till 1:00 it sounds abit like a saxophone.

  • QUE ARTISTA

  • dont fcking teach them!!

  • I frown upon this. Music was made to convey emotions. Robots have no emotions. Thus it's not music anymore :(

  • @SweetlyDissonant amplifiers, samplers and speakers have no emotions either. it's interesting to see robots as potential musical instruments, rather of substitutes for musicians.

  • @SweetlyDissonant it's cool, but I have to agree with you. Unfortunately it's not just robots that play like that...

  • that asian girl at 1:12 got some hips...

  • Robots like these make Disney so much cuter. =]

  • WTF is up with the lights and it shifting and moving it's hand!! I would have been impressed even if if there was no leg or shell so all the wires were sticking out (lazy mans way)

  • or its fited with air tanks what come out of a hole whats its mouth then there air goes threw the instroment all the machen has to do is do that and prese butons

  • does it play taps when another robot gets crushed and recycled?

  • Sugoi!!!!

  • the robot would kill anyone and the people who didn't clap

  • sure it hits the right notes but it cant put emotion into the music like humans.musicians you know what im talking about the kind of music so smooth and beautiful it can make u cry.

  • @kyuubisharinan3296

    Keep telling yourself that, retard.

  • @i8246i wow u only typed 5 words and i can tell your a dumb ass

  • @kyuubisharinan3296 I completely agree with you!

  • watch?v=v9HgYHSJUP0

chill out guys, just watch this video, it will explain everything

  • robots have no souls, just like gingers.

  • さすがはトヨタ、パクリがお上手!

    Great TOYOTA! Loves chasing after.

    (They just create copied, Always.)

  • great player!

  • robot's mouth makes a blow. sounds good :)

  • OMG. it plays better than me and i have been playing brass instruments for 8 years. robots just freak me out- now they do. the vid: one thing i don't get. why are ppl clapping for the robot?

  • In an age when we have millions out of work they are still working on machines to take work away from people...go figure.

  • @rhblakeman There's an infinite amount of work to be done. The explanation for unemployment is the government making it unattractive to work.

  • @rhblakeman

The situation of millions out of work has nothing to do with robots.

It has to do with or current economic structure.

Our current monitory system has failed. As the monitory system has no real basis in the physical world.

and as such it shows its pure abstract form by not adjusting to our intervention mechanisms.

How about owning a robot that can do work for you.

like in your garage or in the office while you play golf.

  • @bighands69 I can see the educational system has failed drastically too - it's MONETARY not monitory. Guess you have a robot tutor. As for golf I have important things to do rather than act the putz chasing a ball around on land that should be a park for all to use. I want to see what happens when these so-called marvels, robots, put all humans out of work including the repair and manufacturing technicians, and there is no one left working to pay into the unemployment and welfare systems.

  • @rhblakeman

What you are doing is confusing social issues with technology.

If a manufacture wants to cut 99.99% of its staff It is a human decision and it is that simple.

You have completely missed my point with the golf.

I will be a bit more direct. Robots and automation will transform economy's.

Were people will have high level production technology in their kitchens and garages that can match any industries. But I suppose you will ignore this point.

  • How can a robot buzz it's lips?...

    It's still beautiful though. c:

  • seems cool, but couldnt you do the same with just a mouth and arms? why go to the trouble of building legs?

  • I wonder what their embrochures are made of. Synthetic plastic or leather?

  • hahahahaha mee ganaa amii esee mendigo robot

    mondrigooo jajajajajajaa

  • The RoBoT has a tail.

    hahaha. (:

  • notice how they dont have a robot french horn, euphonium, tuba, trombone, etc! all they have are piano, violin, and drums (drum machine). can anyone guess why?,...no?! Because music is suppose to be played by HUMANS!!!! not freakin robots!!!!!

  • @TrumpetMaster1000 Interesting...And did you look up this video specifically to bash it?

  • um could you talk english

  • anyone who thinks that you don't need lips to do this is an idiot. the shape of the lips must hange with every note. the amount of air only control clarity and dynamics. even with close notes together the lips must change shape. This is either a fake or they've actually made something that can chage the shape of it's lips to over 100 different postitions. And i doubt that

  • @Pomsymoor100 This is not a fake. I have seen these robots in person. They can program them to move their "lips" in over 100 different, very human-like positions. Scary to think about...but it's true. The sad thing is, these robots are more accurate then most humans.

  • sugoi como hablas nihongo...me he quedado atras! hahaha マニラ で

  • Also, these robots are multi-million dollar pieces of incredibly advanced technology, whereas you can get a trumpet player to play at your bar for fifty bucks and a free steak. Also, he can improvise music and get drunk and leer at the waitresses. I don't see the robot being able to do that anytime soon.

  • en serio es real no puedo creerlo es magnificooooooooo!!!!!!!

  • I play trumpet, this makes me feel really, really bad.

  • what can you expect japanese made :P

  • Vaya tela...jajajaja

  • I like how that girl at 1:16 is by the "do not touch" sign

    Lol

  • is it really the robort play or record?

  • the robot u can see the tube of air going into its butt so it can push the air threw the trumpet..... and yes i know u have to have lips to play the trumpet

  • at the end, the camera man went record the girl! lol

  • You don't think lips could be approximated mechanically? It doesn't seem that far fetched to me.

  • No, even if they could create lips, technology of today could not coordinate what is needed to create a tone. It might have been a recording, but I know for fact that robot was not creating tones through that trumpet.

  • a fact can be true or false. it only must be proven

  • No, you don't know this for a fact. You're making an illogical assumption based on personal incredulity, not fact.

Regardless, there's strong evidence this is real. The fact that when the robot turns to the side, the sound changes just as it would if a trumpet player faced away from you, for instance. I could go into all the other reasons, too, I suppose, but it's honestly just easier to call you stupid and move onto doing something more useful.

  • @matt9741399 Accually I think they did it the cheaper way, copying real music and adding a secret speaker.

  • you sir, are an idiot.

  • you dont need to buzz to play certain notes. But it kinda is neccesary to have an obochure. To play u do need one to ajust while playin. lol

  • You need a lip buzz to play on a trumpet, but I honestly don't think this would be that hard to achieve with a pair of rubber lips, so long as you got the right shape to them. I doubt they'd even have to move or change shape, unless you wanted it to be able to bend the notes up or down with them, instead of changing notes with the keys and changing the amount of air moving through the horn. This is coming from someone who's played trumpet for 14 years.

  • WOW! AMAZING!

  • love the way camera man starts focusing on one of them assistants :P

  • This one's going in my Disney playlist. :)

  • would be cool of it could learn to play a guitar, takes a pretty precise programming. Cool shit.

  • yea...that is creePy

  • Beautiful woman at rigth!! lol

  • it looks creepy...

  • uhm. next time read the description before posting a comment. they "gave" it breath and made it play.

  • i still dont think its real cause they couldnt program a buss into the lips

  • hey i dont think he need leg

  • woooooooow dude

  • You can see MIDI-cables on the robot back ;)

    (MIDI-IN)

  • Midi?

  • This is AMAZING

  • the robots r going to take over the world!

  • If robots could improvise, i would love to see a cutting session between the robot and Chris Potter. That would be sick.

  • how on earth does it buzz?? robots dont have lips. Its interesting though, hopefully these robots are just toys and not comming to take over the real musicians jobs haha.

  • This one has lips. If you watch in other videos, it puts the mouthpiece into a hole in the robots face, and pushes it in several inches. The lips are inside the head.

  • The robot's trumpet tone has improved a lot since the last demonstration that I saw. Better tonguing and upper register sound has progressed well also. Even the grace notes are cleaner. But, it will probably be a quite a while while though before it can sight read music. Or, like another poster has said, play along with a jazz ensemble and improvise with no prior programming or rehearsal. Most pro musicians can do a pretty good job of that. Such capabilities are likely a long while off.

  • i love how it's plugged into the wall.

  • yea its ass is recharging

  • i like how halfway through the guy filming gets tired of the robot and zooms in on the hot chick. Disney wants $50,000 now for using their songs. That's per song. lmao

  • I wanna see it read music.

Then let's see it improvise a 24 bar jazz duet with a human trombone player.

  • i wanna see u calculate infinetesmal amount of data, then convert and send them into data streams across the world using the internet in seconds

  • A person does calculate many thousands of things all at once, something which a computer is incapable of doing, and then make inferences on those calculations based not only on past experience, but on imagination and intuition.

  • Now, due to poor wording, I'm not sure what your task specifically meant, but infinitesimal most certainly means something other than what you thought, because it refers to a value arbitrarily close to zero, rather than very large amounts of data, and not even a computer can calculate numbers approaching infinity.

  • If you wish a human to transmit data over the internet without a computer, you are surely without knowledge of how the internet works, or even what it is, as by definition, it is a network of computers and their data.

  • And make the Improvisation Different every time? I bet they could, But please don't challenge them. LOL :-)

  • The MACHINE.. not a he or a she... have a

  • first they try to play god now they ruin music >.>

  • this is horrible. Why would they do this? This is going to ruin the music performing career for people.

  • No it won't. This robot can play well, but it doesn't have that same soul that keeps people listening. It's all flash and no substance.

  • they should stick to making cars

  • he plays better than me and a lot of other pple lol

  • this is just wrong...

  • these things suck balls

  • Wow.

  • :):)

  • this is pretty cool =)

totally wish air was put into me through a tube...no breaths!

  • the thing is, you dont just blow into the trumpet, you have to buzz your lips.

  • i hate that robot

  • robot r going to rule they are too perfect

  • not fair..no lungs..unlimited supply of air..not...cooool....

  • its cool, but I agree with the lungs thing

  • im gonna fuckin murder that robot

  • F-R-E-A-K-I-N-G AWESOME!

  • that's soo cool!

  • coool!.....ps that girl in the green pants is hoooot!!!!!!!!

  • i could be real they might have somthng like lips in the trumpet to get it to play

  • it sounds better as the robot plays it cus its programed to have the exact timing. thats with robots. perfect, arent they?

this is nothing to boast about.

retarded robots.... we should watch what we are making

  • There is absolutly no emotion or soul in a robot, what music was, is, and will always be about.

  • is it really playing it or is it a recording...?

  • kimochi warui

  • yeah, you'd know since I rub them all over your face when you sleep.

  • Shhh....You told me you wouldn't tell anyone

  • disturbing, it seems possible, all they would have to do is make suction in the hole in its mouth. Though, i suppose the robot could have just played a recording, it sounded very real.

  • Not a suction but a blow, with the intensity of lips, also they needed to sincronice the movements of the fingers with the blow in order to achieve the tune, as you can see it is a real trompet not a sound recorded...

  • interesting, i don't play a brass intrument, but i suppose they could make something out of synthetics to get the same effect.

  • u cant blow to any brass instrument to make sound. u have to buzz to make sound. n beside trumpet r loud it is possible. trust me

  • blazing01: You are correct, merely blowing cannot produce a sound. When you play, you vibrate your lips, but you force air between them to vibrate them. Perhaps this is what the robot does. It's a real trumpet, by the way.

  • i know im a trumpet player my self. it sound way different if u hear a trumpet sound from a computer than in person

  • Yeah, but it doesn't have that 'human' touch, so I don't think robots will be putting muscians out of work anytime soon. (They could someday mind you, it's happened in other fields.)

  • true society want us to be lazy. if they people would pay good money if they here a human than a robot playing

  • You don't need a 5-foot robot to put musicians out of work. Synthesizers have killed a lot of music gigs in the last 20 or 30 years.

  • Why is it disturbing. It still lacks human intuition, and it still doesn't have all of the different muscles a human mouth does which give it somewhat a disadvantage. No worries.

  • for a second i thought the chick in the green was a robot too.

  • robots dont have lips... so they dont have an amisure, is this possible at all?

  • you must not be a musician, because you have no idea how to spell embouchure. you idiot

  • Scary

  • Bring on a guitar player

  • çok ruhlu çalıo aq robotu ooooof of.. yandaki gacı da fena deilmiş

  • is this even possible?

  • Why is it so hard to remember like, law #1 of Jesus?

    Do unto others.

  • O_O those thingsa are going to rebel against us one day and that day i will be looking out my window laughing my ass off and yelling told-ya-so to people passing by ^_^

  • no way man. the three laws of robotics.

  • please Dont be so ignorant

  • More like a HUMAN will use them to take over. No one is giving robots free will to disobey humans.
