  • Ewan and Renee have such good chemistry and I cried so much while watching this movie

  • This movie should have swept the Oscars, it was phenomenal.

  • Beatrix Potter is not only the creator of one of the most memorable characters of all time - she is a model for all women of what we can do against all odds...her personal biography is much like triumphant Peter's - and I think that I think of her every day, in some way. So for all the females out there that dream of doing something extraordinary, just remember this quiet little gal at the turn of the last century who thought the same, and—did it! xo, Stephanie Tara, children's author

  • I cried unexpectedly, it's a good show

  • I laughed out loud when Ewan started speaking and I'm a big fan of him... I don't really like Renee Zellweger, but I might watch this for him.

  • Have you ever noticed that the greatest thinkers, writers, poets and inventors shy away from people? Water seeks its own level and geniuses connect only to the highest powers.

  • Obi-Wan got bored of being a Jedi so now he's a publisher...for bunny books.

  • awesome

  • Thats funny. Beatrix Potter was from cumbria... and their accent is NOTHING like that.. It is very common and rough... search cumbrian dialect.. and I'm sure you will find a few... On the plus side, They filmed several scenes in my local pub.. well, what used to be my local. I'm stateside now. Ironically by Seaside, where they filmed the truman show.

  • i watch it more then 4 times make me smile make me happy make me cry also

    a beautifull story

  • Can anyone recommend mi any similiar movies? I know Finding neverland....

  • @Tarantulka1988 Mmm I can recommend you :P Shadowlands, a film based on the life of C. S. Lewis, the writter of the chronicles of Narnia, The Hours based on on three women of different generations whose lives are interconnected by the novel Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf, a great novelist, or maybe Shakespeare in love... Hope this helps :3

  • The part were she is on the rocks near the lake is the boat house to the house that beatrix potter stayed herself and from when i was one and now fifteen i have stayed in that hoise every year and its beutiful its so old inside but lovely and we have barbeques on the boat house neerly every nite and i read beatrix potter books in the old broken boats butcant go this year as i cannot get off school :'( i actually cried that i cudnt go thats how noce it is :D

  • @MissRandomStudiosX it would be nice if it was true....Beatrix Potters home is left to the national trust and is left open as a "museum" as it were to tourists.....& I should know..i worked a concession stand selling tickets for there...i think someone been telling you porkies..

  • @Shooo19881 She might have stayed in a house that Beatrix Potter had visited and spent a night or two, not necessarily lived in :)

  • I love Beatrix Potter! I have a big book of her stories and two vhs' of her animated stories. I loved going to the library as a little girl and getting the books because I thought they were cute because they were so tiny!

Last time I went to the book store a lady was asking one of the sales girls about her books and the girl had no idea who she was! :O

  • @QueenoftheDookie I once worked in a book store a customer asked a girl who worked there where she would find books by Doctor Spock, the girl in all seriousness looked as if she could not believe this woman and told her, I would imagine Doctor spock is in Science fiction!! true story

  • Wonderful movie that was undeservedly massacred by the critics!!!

  • The name of the song "Mystic Tryst" by Jim Dooley :)

  • What is the name of the song a the beginning?

  • I have always loved her books, i grew up reading them and to see her story really cements her for me!

  • is it just me or does everyone sound like they inhaled some helium? :-)

  • @kastan06 The Mickey Mouse Connection. Search for Hidden Mickeys in this movie.

  • @kastan06 I really want to try inhaling some too. No joke!

  • This is very beautiful movie.

  • Don't hate me for it people, but I hardly knew anything about Beatrix and her books (save Peter Rabbit). But when I bought this film I absolutely fell in love with her- and Jemima Puddle-Duck too!! The 2-d animations make her books come to life and her story shall endear itself for generations to come!

  • just watched the movie . on cw .. very nice movie ...

  • @dtmitta me too

  • A movie that can best be described as charming. I brought the dvd for my Mum and she enjoyed it alot...and to be fair...I did too :)

  • I love this movie to pieces. The audio in this particular youtube video though is off.

  • this is probably the most forgettable movie ever made.

  • @liquidstone14 actually it was very good in my opinion :)

  • what is this music? its fantastic :D

  • This story is so pretty! A little sad, but very good movie. I love these actors, Renée and Ewan

  • looooooooooooove her books sooo much!:) also her drawings! they're soo cute!

  • haha saw this movie on tv the other night and loved it.

hmmm this video sounds weird though.. the voices of the characters sound like.. 3 octaves higher than normal -__-

anywhoo this is a marvelous movie.

  • i Love this movie!

  • I just saw this movie, it was truly beautiful, my heart ached so bad X( I didn't think I was gonna be so emotional about it :') Everyone who hasn't seen this movie should see it, now! It is very sad, but very very good :')

  • is this available on you tube or anywhere else online?

  • Ahhh this had me in floods T_T

    Was really good

    McGregor<3<3<3 ^_^!

  • The love story is beautifully constructed.... i love this film i've finished watching it online at

    EasyMediaClick (dot) com

  • I'm thinking about buying this on DVD. I've always grown up with knowing Peter Rabbit. This movie does remind me of "Finding Neverland" a little bit. One thing I find ironic and funny is that Ewen McGregor is in this, and yet the farmer in Peter Rabbit is McGregor. How cool is that?

  • film bellissimo

  • anch'io amo questo film brava renee

  • I looooooooooooooooove this film!

  • Why does everyone is this movie have a high sqeeky voice?? I love the movie though:)

  • HAHA I was thinking about the same :D especually when reneé talkes :D

  • i just rented this movie cuz i love Reene Zelweger and Ewan McGregor! i'm so glad i did, this movie was great and whimsicall! i cried i d/k how many times, i'm going to buy it =D

  • that`s a great movie!

  • What's the name of the song at the beginning of the trailer, please? Thanks.

  • what do you mean? it came out two years ago in the cinema and was on show for weeks!

BEST FILM I HAVE EVER SEEN!

  • lol

  • What is the name of the song at the end of the trailer?

  • I gotta rent or buy this movie, I've been a fan of hers since I was very little :)

  • Great movie!

Ewan McGregor and Renne Zellweger work really well together in Down with Love and Miss Potter.

  • I saw this movie yesterday, and it broke my heart. It´s so...beautiful lovestory!

And they were both great, Renée and Ewan. :)

  • wat is the song from 0:01 to 0:33?

  • im sorry i dont know the name of the song but if you go on the Miss Potter official website it has the song on its own playing!

  • Someone needs to put this lovely movie on youtube.

  • they actually have.

  • where? i can't find it =[

  • great movie, she was a very unique, strong woman. Beatifully acted.

  • I loved this movie!

  • I love her drawings! (ms potter's)

  • A great movie! <3

  • i like renee zelwegger..she's funny...my favorite movie of her is the bridget jones diaries....its a great movie...

  • You havent heard proper english then?

  • *roll eyes* That's not what I meant.

  • Oh, i see what you mean, the fact like for the first 40 sec its sounds like they speeded it up! APOLOGIES!!

  • I haven't watched it but I think it's quite like Bridge to Terabithia.

  • It has that same magical feeling, i think the diffrence would be that 'Bridge to T...' is more for kids-teen-Adults when Miss Potter some younger kids might not enjoy it as much, then aswell its very much English culture like and 'Bridge... is very American culture.

You need about as much hankies though as you would've for Bridge to Teribithia. lol

  • Yeah, I heard you gotta rehydrate afterwards!

  • I haven't watch the movie you talk about but saw a clip online. Not even near Miss Potter. Miss Potter is real life story. That's why we can never judge a book by its cover. You probably saw the carriage with rabbits animation and thought it's CGI/fantasy like Terabithia. It's not. It's a biography, done with a lot of whimsy. Her life was magic, like her art.

  • "Not even near Miss Potter."

    -----------

What I meant is that there's no comparison between the two. Apples and oranges to me.

  • hehe. i haven't watch this so i really don't know, but bridge to terabithia was really a good movie, try watching it, and it was really not that magical, it's a real life story which makes it awesome!

  • Real life, as well? Ok, that was me judging a book by its cover, then. :D I'll watch, looks interesting. Have you seen Pan's Labyrinth? It's a fairy tale, but for adults. Violent and scary for kids. Even I almost had nightmares over it, but have seen 3 times. It's THAT good.

  • i think it's good! i will watch it after the legend of chun-li. comment me after you watched the bridge..

  • very well acted, great movie

  • This is one of the best movies ever filmed!!! Rene is perfect for this role and so is McGregore!!! They are fantastic! I also love the cartoons in this movie! they are SO cute! Can anyone upload this movie????? PLEEEEAAAASSSSEEEEE............

  • I honestly like this lovely film:)Thank you for posting!

  • what happens at the end?

    i havnt seen it

    =[

    x

  • Good film

I think i prefer Ewan WITHOUT the moustache.

Hes fit as a brunette tho.

    Like in Moulin Rouge.

    X

  • I watched this yesterday. Rock on Beatrix!

  • This is such an amazing film. I was bought Miss Potter on DVD for Christmas last year, but only just got round to watching it today. I love the Beatrix Potter cartoons and books, and this film really brought it to life. It is just magical. If you haven't seen Miss Potter you should definitly have a watch, you will not be disappointed - 10/10

  • LOL i was laffing my head off!!

    i♥renee:]

  • How does it end ??? Will they stay together ?

  • their voices are sped up, it sounds reallllly funnyXD

  • What's the music starting from the beginning of the trailer?! You also can hear the music when visiting the website of Miss Potter. I do know that this theme isn't made for this movie, but where does it come from!!!

  • It has... potential. If I'm ever feeling like it, I might give this one a go. At 00:07, dead bunny wabbit. This is SOOOO Hallmark Channnel. Which isn't a bad thing at all. 4/5

  • Just watched the video-brillant, and VERY moving. Can't say enough about it. I will buy it.

    A rare treat.

  • Yes she was...it was Enid Blyton who wasn't very nice

  • Oh my godness! How the heaven I've missed this all?! :o Why I haven't heard about this kind of movie until this day??!! It's so... odd. I've to watch this! I've decided... Next time when I'm free of work I go to the movie theater and watch this movie... Feels like very awesome film really! :) Can't wait!

  • I saw the movie I balled my eyes out! It is the best movie I have ever seen!

  • Beatrix, a genius who understood within her own soul ---- at a very young age that she was an artist, a writer, a woman of whimsy. Beatrix Potter was raised in the City of London. Her passion to draw grew as a grand friendship developed between the characters that lived in her soul. Her hands gave life to the playful times they shared in her mind. Childhood drawings of her pet rabbit Peter - brought her comfort and rich moments of deep satisfaction.

    <3

  • i watched this film last night and loved it. Its an amazing film!

  • does anybody know what movie the music is from which plays at the end of this trailer?

  • "When you Taught Me How To Dance"

the singer's first name was Katie, I forgot her surname

  • It was Katie Melua who sang the song in Miss Potter

  • Beatrix Potter Rocks, and this film is great i got on dvd on monday.

  • IT'S SO GREAT... I LIKE the Zellweger-McGregor tandem, hehe... yes,it's sad but funny... And the kind of movie you won't forget..

  • ehehe cool ehehe anyway tnx for answering my question^^,

  • Whoa!!!!beatrix potter is the name of an author?! but pls still answer my 1st question!!!whahhaa

  • ehehe sorry to ask but im kinda confused isnt beatrix is part of the Harry potter cast?ehehehe im not sure ehehehe....the name beatrix and the lst name potter is confusing me O_o ehehe

  • Beatrix Potter (28 July 1866 -- 22 December 1943) was an English children's book author and illustrator, renowned for creating "Peter Rabbit" and other animal characters. She has nothing to do with Harry Potter :) She just has the same last name. :)

  • it's bellatrix lestrange... haha, sirius' cousin..

  • @lirpa05 probably JK Rowling was also influenced by her like Tolkien....lot of Tolkien's characters and things in LOTR were in Harry Potter. Names like Aragog from aragorn.death eaters/dementors and ringwraith, Voldemort and Sauron both being presumed indestructable because they left a part of them in a thing (ring, locket, diary), only voldemort used more than one. the invincibility cloak and the elve's gift (cloak) to the fellowship, even dumbledore reminds me of gandalf

  • Did Renee Zellweger have a British accent?

  • Renne Is GREAT

  • This Film is Fantastic really trully overwhelming and it captures your heart and lets you see a totally new and exiting view on a person who was very much in the dark for a very long period of time !EXCELLENT!

  • This is great film, i've even been to beatrix's home in the lake District but its a very sad but funny film.

  • i going to see this film tomorrow. is it good?

  • People who see things differently are the ones who stand out and make history. Beatrix Potter was one of them. Her stories are timeless. I look forward to viewing this film.

  • I JUST went to see this film, it was so lovely! :)

  • nice... i would go see it... ;)

  • Iv seen it its the most perfect film in the world!

  • Ohh lucky you! :) I still have to wait some time before I could see it

  • Beatrix Potter is one of my favourite authors ever.

    I must see this! o_o

  • I want to see this movie. I have loved Ewan when i first saw him in Moulin Rouge back in 2001

  • I just can't wait to see this movie,I love Ewan!!! and it looks like he's just getting better and better and better!!

  • looks pretty crap, though i know ewan's a gd actor, but bring on spidey 3, or something else, i'll pass on this.

  • well great bloody hell yet another trailer that tells us exactly what happens in the story. how annoying.

  • YAY! I loved the tales of Beatrix Potter when I was little.

  • Oh, this is so cute, i so love the bunnies :)

  • I think this will be an interesting movie. Both Ewan and Renee are talented actors, and the story is touching.

  • Renee has quite a high voice anyway, but it could also be because of their mood, anxiety, nerves, etc...

I'm not convinced Renee is right for the role, she sunds a lot like Bridget Jones, but it could be one of Ewans best performances in a long time.

  • Lol i still fancy ewan even with the strange moustache, haha.

  • Oi, Juliana! Aqui de novo?

The movie seems so adorable!! I think the high-pitched voices must be because they are two real characters and maybe Beatrix and Norman had high-pitched voices. I don't know, but it seems to me like it is because of that. Maybe you British people could tell us. I ADORE EWAN!!!! I love Renee! Thanks for posting!

  • You aren't english??Really?? :D And...where are you from? I'm spanish.

I hope Ewan'll win the Oscar, too...is a great actor!!! (and very handsome too xD) I've heared that he's nominated for a Golden Globe!! =D And I hink Reneé lso is nominated...

Sorry for use that to chat!!

  • go Renee this looks great

  • Thank you!!!! I have been looking forward to this trailer it seems forever - and I've surfed all weekend long as I believed it to be released this weekend. I was bummed with dead links on other sites - only to remember YOUTUBE...and there it is! Thank you ever so much for posting. You have made my day.

  • You're welcome ! :)

  • Yea. Their voices are very high in a couple of scenes.

  • Thanks for posting it.

Is it just me or does Renee and Ewan both sound high-pitched? I thought maybe it could be the trailer quality (in general) but o_O...

  • You are welcome!

Yeah, it is really high-pitched sometimes. It can't be the trailers quality because when it was still up on other sites the sound was exactly the same.. Maybe the sound is the main reason why it has been removed from other sites?
