Dimmu makes some cool sounds, but they have become to mainstream and that is the problem. Their earlier albums were quite good, no one can take that away from them, but they have kind of pissed away what they used to be. Satyricon has kind of gone down a similar road, not to the same extent though. Its all about Mayhem and Emperor, that's the real deal, darkthrone and Immortal too.

If you're not familiar with Satyricon you know nothing about black metal! Satyricon are total legends. They've moved away more from traditional black metal, but the early stuff is classic- check out Mother North. Amazing.
