This is the DEFI WIND in Gruissan (France), a famous long-distance windsurfing race along the French Mediterranian coast, supported by the offshore Tramontana wind. Amateur pictures from the 2006 edition (May 27-30) of one of the mass-starts. A total of 600 surfers were allowed to enter in 2006, and all of them start togetter (with rabbit-boat start). Moreover, pro's and amateurs compete togetter, making this a very popular race!
