That's because virtual machines don't have full 3D acceleration, they have 3d software acceleration which is good for running apps that don't require much graphics.

The problem with Parallels, isn't the software (which looks to be good or better) it's the Mac hardware that can't take advantage some of the 'heavier' programs and Heavy hardware setups that Mac hardware is unable to match or costs FAR to much to match for most.

It's good to see parallels doing so well, and with that, mac won't do anything but support windows which is strange, but as before my problem is the hardware cost is far to high.

Macbook Air free with parallels is great for a number of reasons. One its free (what more can you ask for?). Two if your not a apple user like me you could slowly get in to OSX. Three it's not so hard to enter, i could go on but i think you get the point. :)

Parallels is by far the best VM software. I only have 5, and the only annoyance I have is when gaming, noted that 5 is now leagues behind 6 and 7 in gaming.

Father gave me a laptop for Frosh week this week.

It's a 1.6 GHz Processor running Intel Pentium 4 and running 512 MB of RAM.

Oh and it has Windows Vista Ultimate so it's incredibly fast! And has 80 GB of HDD Storage.
