IMHO Qatar does not deserve to host the competition. Why build so many stadiums just to take them down again. Crazy decision. Qatar has no football history and doesn't even sit in the top 50 within the world rankings, Has no top players, no top teams but lots and lots of money.

These magnificent stadiums will never be full again until another major tournament is held there. It's another story of what happened in South Africa. Yes it all looks amazing and fair play its a very good presentation but have Qatar ever been in a world cup? Egypt or Turkey would have been the common sense choice for a middle eastern world cup. Even Iran would have been more appropriate. Qatar as part of a joint bid yes, but spending billions of dollars building a bunch of temporary stadiums and hotels in a country smaller than the falkland islands and less populous than west yorkshire is INSANE. Especially when half the world struggles to live on less than a dollar a day.
