I grew up where there was never any summer rain. As a child, I couldn't figure out why the singer was lugging that umbrella around all the time. Finally I wised up, and I still love "Bus Stop."
Please listen to Lady GaGa again (Stefani Germanotta) is a brilliant artist, multi talented, listen and give her a chance. Her music has depth and layer, much the same as this band. What a wonderful opportunity we have, to listen to music over the generations. Lady Gaga and the Kinks and The Hollies, The Specials, Duran Duran, Oasis, Keane, Green Day...ALL Brillliant.
this song rules. fuck todays music ! my generation has had crap music forced on us for waaaay too long. we need music like this. to hell with lady gaga & little wayne
@willyshears Yes, it was. I was in my early 20's when this video was made and shown on a TV show back in 1986 (I do believe). There was a couple of other vids made of 1960's songs during that time period for some group of specials -- I remember then airing in the Tampa Bay area's Channel 8 -- NBC affiliate at the time.
@TheWhatsinaname Also shown in 1985 - 86, during these series of specials, was a video of the Zombies' "She's Not There" with actress Terri Garr; the Young Rascals' "Good Lovin'" with the cast of "St. Elsewhere" (including Howie Mandel and David Morse) and Procol Harum's "A Whiter Shade Of Pale" (I do wish the other vids would show up on youtube, Procol Harum's has in the past, but not recently).
@willyshears Yes, I finally found an article from the 1980's on-line about this syndicated show (although it appeared mainly on NBC affiliates) that included this video and the others I mentioned (specifically highlighted was the "Good Lovin'" vid w/ the cast of "St. Elsewhere"). It came from the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentennial. The show was entitled, "Deja View" and was hosted by John Sebastian of Lovin' Spoonful fame.
Great job on the video... thanks!
