@dopefish90five You are stupid, carp are ruining the habitats in the USA... They eat all the plants so the natural fish and other life dies of starvation.. And they breed like rabbits, so the few ones he kills in a year are replaced by 10 times more.. Learn something before you say something
1) If you eat beef or chicken, it may be educational to see how they get treated.... not pretty. Fishing and hunting are far less inhumane than they way our regular supermarket meat gets treated before it hits your table.

Weak. Spearfishing takes ZERO skill. When you're diving, fish just sit around. Hell you can basically reach out and grab them by hand. Preaching? Actually spearfishing doesn't bother me whatsoever, its one thing to hunt or fish for food or a living, but it is an entirely different thing than killing for the fun of it. Death is necessary, however rolling around in it like its ice cream is just gross and offensive. What you do isn't spearfishing dog, its childish games shooting fish that don't run. @primused I see what you're talking about. But still I am a firm believer in the irradiation of invasive species, which is why I have no qualms over killing as many carp as I wish in the United States. I would do the same to Lionfish if I lived in Florida. Now if these carp were a native species of fish here in the US I would be just as disgusted as you at the thought of someone mercilessly slaying them.
@abzde So because some human took control over the fishes life and moved it or caused it to be moved making it invasive you have a desire to kill it . y is that. Humans in the US are invasive. we moved ourselves over here and took over. You have any qualms there?

Well you definitely don't need the gun I was using. I bought it for hunting white sea bass that are 30-50lbs hoping to shoot a 60-90lb white sea bass one someday with that gun. but you could use any good railgun for carp. I bought a 100cm Rob Allen Vecta railgun to shoot carp with. And my friend uses a 90cm carbon fiber Aimrite railgun for killing his carp.
Practically never. But there was one time when my snorkel tangled in some underwater seaweed on the end of my breath hold. I couldn't untangle myself and as I looked up at the surface just 5 to 7 feet away, light rays shimmering down through the weeds, I thought to myself that this will be the last thing I'll ever see. Felt like I was moments away from drowning. Luckily my snorkel fell off my face and untangled itself in the process. Went up for air and called it a day.
Oh I usually rip out the air bladder and let them sink back to the bottom of the Lake/River. That way they don't wash up to shore. But if it's a carp tournament someone always rents a big dumpster and we just chuck the fish in there.
My friend tried it and didn't like it. Plus all the local authorities are fine with wasting the fish. So I just kill em and chuck em. It's a fun way to spend an afternoon.
@abzde i've tried to rip there guts out the just keep swimming, its a damn resistant fish. even if you stone em in the head with a kill shot, the dotn care. most stubourn fish out there. they dont believe there dead. keep killing them if all your seeing ic carp, means you need to save that lake.
But i think 3 elastics are a bit of a overkill for this little fish - make it more fun on your clean up mission - Next time i pass through Vegas , i will help you guys get rid of this shit fish
It is a 2500 mile drive from where I am from. All I need to know is what general part of the lake is clear and what time of the year thats all. I guess I will have to drive around and search it myself .
It's a 400 mile drive from where I live and I've only visited it a handful of times. My only advice is to not try the northern parts of the lake because the lake is shrinking from droughts. I've drove to a northern spot on my GPS that showed water in all directions and when I looked up there was nothing but dry desert.
What part of lake mead do you go to for spearfishing? Is the lake always clear or are there certain timesof the year , you could spearfish?
I am from Canada ,I have to fly somewhere to spearfish and dont mind driving to Vegas for spearfishing.I only spearfished in the pacific or mediteranian. I have never spearfished at a lake .I would like to try it .
Sorry I don't give out spots on the internet to strangers. The lake is not always this clear. I've dove this same spot with only 7ft of visibility. I have no idea what times of year the lake is the clearest. I just go and hope it is clear enough to see the fish.
How do you hold your breath so long? Is there some exercise that you can do to increase your lung capacity? At the most i can usually hold my breath for about 90 seconds.
@jtschid0910 Ha 90 seconds is the longest I normally last underwater, I don't stay under that long usually. The best secret to holding your breath underwater is to never get too hot or too cold underwater. You want to own a wetsuit that you can totally relax in underwater. Staying relaxed is a key part to keeping your heart rate down which cuts down on oxygen absorption.
Great hunting video !!! Never did`it in to a lake ! What was the dept ? The carp is very tasty .... I really like`it ! Good hunting ! Keep the videos coming !
@ncaislahoya Lakes, rivers, oceans it's all the same thing. If there's fish underwater I'll hunt them. Ha and I wouldn't want to use dynamite, too much unnecessary bycatch.
@piedem76 I shoot them for target practice and fun mostly. As for eating carp my friend threw the fish away after tasting just one bite of it. I haven't had the chance to try it yet.
@abzde if you want to practice fill a platic bottle with sand and shoot it as many times u want. Com'on carps for god's sake.. and the least you could do was to give the fish to a family which really needed it and wouldn't mind if they are tasty or not
@TheChristosT Nah i think I'll stick to shooting carp. I bet you didn't know this, but there's a carp spearfishing competition in the Colorado River that ends with all the carp being thrown into a dumpster bin. Last time we shot 465 carp in total.
@abzde and u are proud of that? i bet in 5 years there would be no competition in that lake considering that all the carps will be dead. At least make use of the speared fish, told u give them to families that really need them.
@TheChristosT In America there is little to no market for carp so most people are very reluctant to cook the carp by themselves if given a whole fish. As for killing all the carp I'd be very proud if the competition ended because all the carp died. Go up to my video description to see why I feel that way.
@mungoz4lif Can't tell you where since this is my friend's secret carp spot. Last time he was out on the lake he shot a 23lb carp there! But as for the visibility underwater. This same spot had very bad vis the last time I was out. The visibility in the lake changes a lot. Sometimes it's good other times it sucks. I don't know why though.
@abzde well if it's as good as that it's got to be good but i don't spear fish and if i wanted to catch carp i whould go to the marina and grab one right out of the water lol!
@delawarefisherman I sent you a link to a government web page on your channel and added one in this video description page. I found the web page by doing a short Google search on the internet. Next time you should try that as well for questions you might have. It's pretty easy to Google stuff.
@abzde Simply asking a question guy, just wondering how California government differs from Delaware government. Here we only have two invasive species: snakeheads, and flathead catfish. Our government in DE does not see common carp as a threat. In fact, the native species here (smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, channel catfish, sunfish, striped bass, etc) live in perfect harmony with common carp, and have not been responsible for any detriment to natives. Figured I'd just ask you.
@delawarefisherman I'm just saying that the facts are there about the detrimental impact carp have on the ecosystem. And just because a local government doesn't want to make it an issue doesn't mean the detrimental impacts are not going on. It's what carp do to the spawning grounds and the eggs of other fish, and not what carp do to the adult species of fish in the body of water that matters.
@cardonaman - We will take you for a day or two if you want to fly into Michigan and spear carp. We'll set you up with gear and take you to all the hot spots! Guarantee we'll get about 20+ huge carp!
I love this video. Good work. I bowfish for carp, but haven't tried spearfishing for them. I go snorkelling here in Ohio all of the time and see plenty of carp and suckers well within range. I'll have to give it a go.
great video, do you need a special fishing license to use your spear gun at lake mead? park rangers are very active in the shores of the lake, are there specific areas to use the spear gun?
Awesome job thinning out those big ugly carp and great footage. I like shooting carp with a bow and arrow. It's fun using a firearm when they're on the surface and there's a safe backstop. Please keep up the good work and post more videos of carp killing.
Fucking hillbilly retards, he Isn't eating those carp, complete waste of life and a great sport fish, if I see you in your faggot scuba suit near my lakes I'll cut your fucking throat with that spear and leave ya to bleed out like those poor carp, get a fucking life scumbag.

My friend tried it and didn't like it. Plus all the local authorities are fine with wasting the fish. So I just kill em and chuck em. It's a fun way to spend an afternoon.
abzde 1 year ago
@abzde i've tried to rip there guts out the just keep swimming, its a damn resistant fish. even if you stone em in the head with a kill shot, the dotn care. most stubourn fish out there. they dont believe there dead. keep killing them if all your seeing ic carp, means you need to save that lake.

It is a 2500 mile drive from where I am from. All I need to know is what general part of the lake is clear and what time of the year thats all. I guess I will have to drive around and search it myself .
tyanik1973 1 year ago
@tyanik1973
It's a 400 mile drive from where I live and I've only visited it a handful of times. My only advice is to not try the northern parts of the lake because the lake is shrinking from droughts. I've drove to a northern spot on my GPS that showed water in all directions and when I looked up there was nothing but dry desert.
abzde 1 year ago
What part of lake mead do you go to for spearfishing? Is the lake always clear or are there certain timesof the year , you could spearfish?
I am from Canada ,I have to fly somewhere to spearfish and dont mind driving to Vegas for spearfishing.I only spearfished in the pacific or mediteranian. I have never spearfished at a lake .I would like to try it .
tyanik1973 1 year ago
@tyanik1973

At the most i can usually hold my breath for about 90 seconds.
jtschid0910 1 year ago
@jtschid0910 Ha 90 seconds is the longest I normally last underwater, I don't stay under that long usually. The best secret to holding your breath underwater is to never get too hot or too cold underwater. You want to own a wetsuit that you can totally relax in underwater. Staying relaxed is a key part to keeping your heart rate down which cuts down on oxygen absorption.

It's funny, in Holland, we love to fish carp, standing proud with them on photo's, and everyone throws them back, so basicly the carp is loved here.

@ncaislahoya Lakes, rivers, oceans it's all the same thing. If there's fish underwater I'll hunt them. Ha and I wouldn't want to use dynamite, too much unnecessary bycatch.

why do u shoot carps, r they good to eat?
piedem76 1 year ago
@piedem76 I shoot them for target practice and fun mostly. As for eating carp my friend threw the fish away after tasting just one bite of it. I haven't had the chance to try it yet.
abzde 1 year ago
@abzde if you want to practice fill a platic bottle with sand and shoot it as many times u want. Com'on carps for god's sake.. and the least you could do was to give the fish to a family which really needed it and wouldn't mind if they are tasty or not
TheChristosT 1 year ago
@TheChristosT Nah i think I'll stick to shooting carp. I bet you didn't know this, but there's a carp spearfishing competition in the Colorado River that ends with all the carp being thrown into a dumpster bin. Last time we shot 465 carp in total.
abzde 1 year ago
@abzde and u are proud of that? i bet in 5 years there would be no competition in that lake considering that all the carps will be dead. At least make use of the speared fish, told u give them to families that really need them.
TheChristosT 1 year ago
@TheChristosT In America there is little to no market for carp so most people are very reluctant to cook the carp by themselves if given a whole fish. As for killing all the carp I'd be very proud if the competition ended because all the carp died. Go up to my video description to see why I feel that way.
abzde 1 year ago
how many did you catch them ? i lost my counting watching the video till end xD

mungoz4lif 1 year ago
@mungoz4lif Can't tell you where since this is my friend's secret carp spot. Last time he was out on the lake he shot a 23lb carp there! But as for the visibility underwater. This same spot had very bad vis the last time I was out. The visibility in the lake changes a lot. Sometimes it's good other times it sucks. I don't know why though.
abzde 1 year ago
@abzde well if it's as good as that it's got to be good but i don't spear fish and if i wanted to catch carp i whould go to the marina and grab one right out of the water lol!
mungoz4lif 1 year ago
So exactly where are you getting your facts from about carp affecting native species?
delawarefisherman 1 year ago
@delawarefisherman I sent you a link to a government web page on your channel and added one in this video description page. I found the web page by doing a short Google search on the internet. Next time you should try that as well for questions you might have. It's pretty easy to Google stuff.
abzde 1 year ago
@abzde Simply asking a question guy, just wondering how California government differs from Delaware government. Here we only have two invasive species: snakeheads, and flathead catfish. Our government in DE does not see common carp as a threat. In fact, the native species here (smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, channel catfish, sunfish, striped bass, etc) live in perfect harmony with common carp, and have not been responsible for any detriment to natives. Figured I'd just ask you.
delawarefisherman 1 year ago
@delawarefisherman I'm just saying that the facts are there about the detrimental impact carp have on the ecosystem. And just because a local government doesn't want to make it an issue doesn't mean the detrimental impacts are not going on. It's what carp do to the spawning grounds and the eggs of other fish, and not what carp do to the adult species of fish in the body of water that matters.
