  • Can you switch tracks on the evolver as you do with the ER?

  • que petardada!!!!!

  • Pretty cool sound shaping (:-B

  • Nice one!

  • great_style_bro!

  • so rad man, reminds of some classic 90's fusion

  • Very nice, thanks.

I assume the accompaniment synth lines are coming from the ER1? I actually rather like them too, as well as the Evolver here. I think you have used them well.

    Cheers

  • Great!

  • Reminds me of Kraftwerks Tour de France.

    Very nice!

  • very inspiring, are they connected? Eventually I am trying to connect my kaossilator with evolver, do you think that will work?

  • @idiomis dude you have an evolver and you dont know this??? what do you do with the evolver??

  • @BigBaggaBlues I didn't have an evolver then I think

  • This is the stuff!

  • sick. i love the sounds from that evolver. GRS has influenced me to get the em-1, now i think he just sold me an evolver.

  • this is finest detroit techno.....awesom!!

  • love the change at around 4:48

    nice jam

  • very nice.... i love it!

  • This is a tight song man, keep up the good work!

  • very nice!!!

  • Nice music! I've DSI and I can't produce whitout it, I like than another like Virus TI. But I think that you need a compressor for this ESX-1

  • space music! :)

  • Just watching this makes me want to design a better drum machine to use with the evolver.

No offence re the Korg, it's just not the kind of sound/versatility that I envision.

  • what about the esx-1 ?

    isn't it a sampler, too?

  • I guess... expensive though.

    For me anyway :)

  • the trusty mpc does the trick, you can jam on the mute groups to variate your beats in unique ways on the fly.

  • techie stuff aside, that's one of the sickest songs I've heard coming outta two modules. I know the evolver has 4 osc. But are you able to play 4 different sequences on the evolver?

  • I've been curious, how do you set the er-1 to master midi clock only, so it starts/stops the evolver in time, but doesn't send midi notes? Lovely demo BTW.

  • you should've put the camera upside down, it's a litttle bit weird to watch

  • sweet

  • the korg has nothing to put up with the beautiful sounds of the evolver lol¡

  • Love it. I may buy one these

  • i wanna learn :(

  • this is gooooooood... god i'd love to learn how to make music like this!

  • great use of this beast !!!

What shape did you use for the first sound ?

  • is the electribe sequencing the evolver track as well?

  • Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu! ready to the party? yeah...

  • wow, blown away, ive been an er-1 user for a while and seeing it with that evolver is amazing... ive never seen one of those before.

  • Thanks.

Yes. Using MonoEvo and RE-1(connecting MIDI cable to sync) only. Other equipments are not used at all. If you use mono evolver key, you can edit parameters more easily and agressive!

  • good sounds! is that just the evolver and drum machine only? do they sync via BPM? can you do they same with the monoevolver? thanx mr ghost.

  • Nice Song!!!

Evolver is the product of "Dave smith instruments". He also made SCI Prophet synthsizers.

  • Thanks. "shift + program change" is one of the unknown function. There is no description on the user's manual.

But it is very necessary function for using Evolver as a groovebox.

  • Is this an Electribe or Evolver function? What does it do?

  • @ghostradioshow (from manual) If you hold the SHIFT button while changing the Program or Bank, the sound will not change until you release the SHIFT button. If you hold the SHIFT button while changing the Program or Bank and the sequencer is running, when the SHIFT button is released the sequence will complete (according to the length of Sequence 1) before synchronously changing to the new program and its sequence.

    ---

I didn't know that though, thank you for pointing it out!

  • Great work! Excellent use of Evolver.

By the way, this is the first time I've seen "shift + program change" in a live performance.
