This is by far the creepiest game I have played this generation. I do think that 999 was a better game overall but Theresia was the more disturbing title.

I remember when I first started playing this game. I literally felt cold during the first few levels. It was a weird sensation. Theresia is probably the most morbid game I have ever played. But despite all of the gore, there is a lot of beauty in this game.

I'd get this but I can't stand fucking anime artwork in games unless it has a very distinctive style- this does not, from what I've seen. The gameplay appeals to me, I love the environment art but I just cannot stand the anime bullshit. I can spend my time and money on games that don't offend me with shitty anime artwork, so I'm gonna do just that.

@FFFan3445 Actually only the images have anime style of drawing, and even so it isn't full anime. Most of teh game has a pretty nice realistic appearance. Give it a try.

@MoonWaterLily Or I can play superior games on my new PC, like Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Arkham Asylum. I'm not really interested in DS games, especially since I refunded my shitty 3DS for $250 and my DS Phat's screens are hard on the eyes now. :<

Still, the character designs in this game are anime-style. That sucks ass. I haven't been able to stand anime bullshit since some traumatic shit, nigga, so I do what I waunt

I really like this game. It's pretty scary though. I'm glad I have a roommate, since the only time I really have to play is late at night... She laughs at me now, but she's borrowing it as soon as I'm done : )

@Cers1116 Bueno, hay distintas opiniones sobre el juego. A mí sinceramente me gustó bastante, a pesar de que me moría de miedo cada vez que jugaba. Yo creo que es la música. A veces se puede hacer algo tedioso ir tan lento y caminar por pasillos monótonos, además las trampas que te esperan en cada esquina, y aunque no haya enemigos, siempre tenía miedo de que algo me saltara en la esquina. La historia está muy bien. Era algo triste. Además desbloqueas otro juego al pasarte el principal. :)

It was a beautiful story; both Dear Emile and Martel. I finished the entire game; and I still felt like playing. It really gives you a haunting chill, that makes your mind squirm and your heart race. Its really; really; really beautiful. I still cannot describe it. Its gonna make you shat bricks. It honestly made me cry LOL.

This was a pretty good game actually, in my opinion. It's pretty much a point and click game. The dialogue was really descriptive; I liked that. The music, scenery and overall plot was bone chilling; I liked that, too. Some of the puzzles were challenging as well. If you're someone who likes horror games, this is for you.

Is it a legit "adventure game" or more "action/aventure" like silent hill/resident evil?

Do you need to kill monsters ? Isn't too boring to read tons of monologues on this one since it seems there are zero interaction with other "normal" "alive" characters on it ?

I'm a big murder mystery detective games fan but NOT a survival horror one (silent hill etc) at all so is it worth the buy for me ?

Its more or less an exploring game. There aren't any monsters; there is an abundance of traps waiting to kill you instead. The monologues, in my opinion, are rather interesting. And yes, there are no interactions with other living characters. For the most part, anyway. It's a survival horror game, yes, but not like Resident Evil. It's...actual survival, and recovering lost memories. Dunno if you'd like it or not, but if you like a unique, interesting story, this is for you.
