yeah I was dissapointed with the lack of magic and no ethereal units forbidden lore is an absolutely amazing vamp power and he should have kept curse of yers if to atleast bait a scroll

If 2 Hydras beat an entire army then the VC player didn't know what they were doing. When you play the summoning spam army, you will understand why they are in the top 2.

@foolinjected101 I play almost every army in the game including both VC and DE. Summoned zombies will not beat a hydra that has 11 attacks. The vc magic cannot deal with 2 hydras, a dark elf army, ring of hotek and eather a dragon or 12 plus power dice.

I use to play VC. The VC player you play against obviously isn't very good.  A simple unit of cairn wraiths could tie up your hydras and make them useless. Ring of Hotek is useless agianst summoning spam since it can be done on one die. Dragon is only good if you get a charge off if you don't kill the unit now the expensive dragon is stuck in combat and will probably lose.

Dark Elves do match up good against the VC.

Not that easy sometimes. Most VC armies are magic heavy, therefore they have magic defense. A good VC general won't let that happen.

Its more or less Daemons, Skaven, Vampires, Dark Elves, Lizard Men, and we'll see about Beast Men as it's the newest book.

But it doesn't really matter what the top armies are as the nastiest, say, VC list with a poor player is doomed, ad infinitum. Ogres (quite possibly the "worst" book for fantasy) took best overall and best general at Broadside Bash this year.

get the battleforce it gives a decent force and its cheap, then get a dreadlord and a squuad of cold one knights, then hydra and reaper bolt thrower and your all set

i think that you should take the assassin with the venom sword then you own their heros!!

That really is situational at best. An assassin pops out then. Your opponent is going to challenge the assassin with a unit champion.

Sometimes it's fun to play a big game like 2000 pts sometimes it also confusing to play a big game like that.right?but I don't have that much fantasy troops I'v been saving alot of money coz the prize increases.

At 2000 point the game changes because you can have lord levels. Play with what you have.

Epidemius is just stupid. What he does for that army is unbelievable for the number of points he is.

leave all bowmen at home. They either won't hit or the range of the bow is to short. Magic is your friend. Little & Big Waagh are very good lores.

You need at least one unit of black orcs, spider riders, night goblins w/fanatics to start with. Giants can be hit or miss but are always fun. Your bolt throwers are cheap. Oh, I almost forgot squigs are cool also.

thanks i havent been takin black orks ill try them out... i also tried out boar boys there hard to kill but dont give enoufgh punch i charged some empire sordsman and lost just becouse i cluldent kill enough guys i dident even louse any boars maby i just rolled bad =(

You need a character in the unit of boar boyz. if not then the boar boyz need to hit units in the flanks.
