Not all custom blog writer are experienced or sure what they are doing. You may find that the custom written blogs the writer provides are not useful to the online communities. If the content is not interesting then people may not care to comment which wont do you much good.
Diggbar is also a little bit of a backwards step for the web (as is the facebook bar). From a usability standpoint- it has some nice benefits, but keeping iframes alive doesn't push the web forward in any way. They should have come up with some other way to do a similar thing.
I was thinking the same thing; the whole slew of social bookmarking sites are like midway through a evolution/transformation of the Web, and I think that one site will emerge as the ultimate center for online content-sharing. And if I had to hazard a complete random guess, I would say that it's gonna be Google. (Love those guys!!!)
