  • この映画はほんとせつなかった😢

  • anyone know HOW she became wealthY??? what else did she do besides get married a bunch of times

  • @WonderWomanFan4life She made a few movies..but the money came from her divorce settlements and alimony I bet!

  • Wow. I will be totally honest, I had no idea there was an original Moulin Rouge!!!

  • @xfrankiegirlgamerx Hope you can see it..this one is about Toulous La Trec (sp) the artist who had a accident so his legs didn't grow and his tormented life living as a alchohlic with the prositutes and dancers he painted. It is a classic.

  • Muriel Smith sang the songs for Zsa Zsa in this film, but she was not credited.

  • It's just dubbed in! The woman had little talent but I find her amusing.

  • i didn't know she was a singer! Wow!

  • oh my life I totally did not know that Moulin Rouge was a remake of an old film!!!!

  • @FireflyFanatic3 Hi..well, it isn't really a remake. This is a classic. Sure hope you can see it~

  • @vonlossberg yeah but I mean the new one ... that's just a modern re-make of this film, right?

  • @FireflyFanatic3 Hi, no not all the new one is a totally different movie. Nicole Kidman sings in it..I didn't really care for it and I am big movie fan. Good and bad really.

  • I prefer satine. :3

  • What's with all the negative comments?If u dont like it,then why r u watching it?Gyonyoru no.

  • She doesn't lip synch very well

  • The remake was incredible.

  • To my mind, her sister Eva was a softer, gentler, classier, and far more beautiful woman.

  • @zzdoc1

I respect your opinion because your profile says you're 68 so you're FAR more qualified to know than me (whose only 27)....but you have to admit.....Zsa Zsa is the ONLY one whose name is still known today by all but maybe THE youngest generation.

  • @Jeffieboi I even named my female french poodle Zsazsa because my wife liked Zsazsa Gabor. Is she still married to the German prince?

  • @norb1937 Yes, she's still married to Frederic Prinz von Anhalt (although he's not a real prince. As an adult, he was adopted by Princess Marie-Auguste of Anhalt, the daughter of Emporor Wilhelm II).

  • @itsmedontyousee She still looks good.

  • @itsmedontyousee Was'nt she married to George Sanders at one time. Did'nt he kill himself?

  • @norb1937 Yes he did. He left a suicide note that said "Dear World, I am leaving because I am bored. I feel I have lived long enough. I am leaving you with your worries in this sweet cesspool. Good luck."

  • She is so beautiful and graceful. Even as a little girl, I was fascinated by her. There was something about her, that made you want to watch and be fascinated. She was really funny too! She is nearly my aunt's age both exceptional, exquisite Ladies if there ever truly was everything a lady is, on this earth.

  • I wonder who was doing the vocals?

  • @PenzancePete

    Muriel Smith

  • @eduardcabuy Ah, thankyou for that.

  • who is that slutty young blonde? =)

  • lip sync, needs some work...thanks for posting though as i'd only ever seen the fun and excitement of the film that was done 50 years later

  • whats the name of this song?

  • I can see how she could have 8 husbands,,,she is beautiful and that accent and her smile are so appealing...so 8 famous rich guys all fell for her,,,yeah,,,go Zsa Zsa

  • Though Zsa Zsa (Sari or Sarah) was more famous for being famous than for her acting, unlike her step great granddaughter Paris Hilton, she was a charming beautiful woman. Hope she gets well soon. She is 93 and has been recently hospitalized.

  • I get a little sad to think that here she was so young and pretty, full of life and smiling and now she lies helpless and dying...I like her and her sister Eva..both gave me many entertaining moments and I still laugh when i think of Eva in Green Acres...the secret to their success was their ability to make fun of themselves so we could have a laugh..thats genius and so sweet.

  • That clip was the gayest thing I ever saw (yawn)

  • @ffionpbip "That clip was the gayest thing I'VE EVER SEEN"

If you're going to be rude, do it with correct grammar.

  • @IbrahimDurakovicTV sorry i didnt write it my sister did :(

  • I have loved this beautiful woman since I first saw her in this movie when it was first released in '52. I suppose that had we married we would have been divorced long, long ago and I would have been heartbroken. Having said that I can watch her again and again. She is close to her end now and I am truly saddened.

  • she's had 8 husbands... oho hehe wow

  • Zsa Zsa's voice is dubbed by Muriel Smith.

  • Is she really singing or lip synching?

  • @rickbangkok I think it's very rare that they don't lip-synch in movies.

  • I think her only talent was being able to sit still in the makeup chair for one hour.

  • Ő valamikor magyar volt!

  • was she the wife of George Sanders?

  • @flaminia5 yes ^_^

  • Well, she is undeniably elderly, a political conservative and has used her beauty and allure to snare wealthy men and amass personal wealth. On the other hand, she was perfectly cast in this minor role playing a brainless twit and added real charm to a timeless masterpiece. Moulin Rouge would be a lesser movie without her. Judging an artist's work by their personal life would eliminate much art, though of course we may dislike whomever we please.

  • @variegatus

    Well said.

  • @variegatus She was badly miscast in this boring movie and couldn't even mime in sync with the words.

  • @JuanMacready usually the singing is done in post-production AFTER the filming. The fault may be with the singer not matching Zsa Zsa's lips.

  • @variegatus We ALL use what we have to get what we like...Even the most part person on earth uses their brain to get what they like....Nothing new there. it will be that way after u or I.

  • Peter she may out live you, that would be nice.

  • please dont swear, it disrespects you and me. thanks alot for your concideration and have a good day

  • My GOD you are even here Peter, you are a real creep and A JERK,and as far as talentless it is better then being brain less.

  • Yes, I told him nobody asked for his opinion.

  • Gyünyörű volt!!

    She was beautifull!!

  • where can i download this song?

  • Thank You For Posting; Muriel Smith is another musical heroine, creating the beautiful singing voice mimed by 'Zsa-Zsa'.

    Cheers!

    Valkyrie Ziege Mourne

  • Que saudades !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ouvindo esta música é como se eu estivesse entrando no túnel do tempo e, voltando na minha infância.

  • The only good thing to come from the new version movie is the Aguilera Tune, The New Movie doesn't have an original Soundtrack like true Musicals and have you watched this Original film from the 50's? Beautiful story and cinematography for its time. I hate they switched the lead character as well, took from the premise of the original story and also made Lugiezamos role less spectacular because of the role change. I understand changng cinematograohy style but not characters of a classic

  • I love your language here, makes things seem so much better.

  • You are a stupid prick. You are just a boy/

Don't comment on things you don't understand.

"Now go home and get your fuckin' shine

    box"!!

  • Nobody asked you.

  • lyrics plez

  • She was a jewel!

  • @rontiss1 Still is, lovey!

  • damn she's beautiful :-)

  • ohmyohmy oh yes she was.

  • @victor1us

    It's only makeup!

  • I was a dancer at the moulin Rouge and this song was in the show - Formidacle. But in french.

Isnt she playing Jane Anvil was it? I cant rememeber

  • it was Jane Avril. I've seen the formidable show many times (brought clients to the Moulin Rouge) and I liked it very much.

  • @MJWarner I heard this sung in french once 40 years ago, but never since. Any idea where to find it on the internet or at Youtube?

  • Zsa Zsa could actually sing, check her Wiki, this is her voice guys.

  • This is not Zsa Zsa's voice, as lovely as she is in the movie. Her singing was dubbed by Muriel Smith, who also appears in the film as the black Can-Can dancer who constantly fights with La Goulue. Muriel was a wonderful talent, and created the role of Carmen Jones on Broadway. She did a nice job of dubbing for Zsa Zsa, too.

  • thanks for that info...I didn't think it was Zsa Zsa but maybe Marni Nixon

  • In a way, Muriel Smith could be considered the black "Marni Nixon." Not only did she dub Zsa Zsa in this classic film, she also provided the singing voice for Juanita Hall in the movie "South Pacific." It's her voice you hear singing "Bali H'ai" and "Happy Talk."

  • I should add that the dubbing in no way takes away from Zsa Zsa's beautiful performance. She's absolutely lovely in "Moulin Rouge."

  • Too cool. I knew of Marni Nixon but not of Muriel Smith. Thank you for this information.

  • Does anyone know if Zsa Zsa's voice was dubbed in this song?

  • dubbed

  • just about every thing was back then (dubbed)

  • Only for actors who couldn't sing. Obviously Judy Garland, Mario Lanza, and Kathryn Grayson could do their own singing.

  • weell yeah thats true.

  • so? that means i dosnt have lyrics.

  • Dear Kenya.

Dubbed, in this case, means some other woman did the singing and Zsa Zsa is just lip-synching.

AS you know, lip synching can means the actual on-stage performer recoreded the song earlier, and is lip synching because of a strenuous dance routine or because they can't sing live and need a lot of studio gimmicks to sound good on records.

  • Read my reply to you at videos site. I forgot to press reply to you, when I posted it.

  • what has that to do with the lyrics? she singing them is she not.? its copyrighting law that the film have lyrics. dubbed or not the lyrics by Jacques Larue belong to the movie.

  • She is a better singer then i thought i think she is such a goood actor and singer...

  • I always loved this song! One of the high points of this movie. I just wish it hadn't been edited here.

  • I remember this picture and song from my youth and we have all grown a little older

  • I was 7. It was on TMC the other day, it is such a hard movie to watch. Jose was incredible, but the movie is so painful. I try to only watch it once a year. Zsa Zsa is incredible, unspoiled and young.

  • lov this movie...mOUliN rOUgE

    <333

  • love Zsa Zsa !!

  • This was the best work she ever did, a great lady

  • That isn't her really singing, is it? It does sound like her.

  • Beautiful song from a beautiful (yet sad) movie. I'm quite sure that her singing was dubbed but it doesn't matter since she was perfect for the role.

  • Zsa Zsa
