well, because of what most organized religions have done in the past, or are presently doing, i choose not to attend any form or religious service. but i am a christian and i do know what christians have done in the past, past being the key word, and no i do not condone any of it. i do know however that the church also does not condone any form of extremist actions against another religion. there are cases that do exist, but no matter what religion you are, or claim to not be you will have that!

What about the laws in Leviticus and Deuteronomy? You think disobedient children and homosexuals should be stoned to death in the town square? If a woman is not a virgin on her wedding day she should be stoned to death on her fathers door step the bible tells us.

How does a person decide that the bible is not truly the word of God and people shouldn't be stoned to death for working on the sabbath? Intelligence.

well if your so versed in the bible you will know that when jesus did what he did when he was here he kinda nullified alot of the old laws that were obsolete so we didnt have to do shit like that, so that is why we dont do those things any more, they dont apply to our lives today, and they didnt apply to his time 2000 years ago either but anyways, yea thats where our laws come from today... the bible and 10 commandmentss

I tell you what nullified the bible. It's called the constitiution, and when it was written it was done so in a secular fassion. Our founding fathers, some of whom were atheist, knew better than to allow religion to mix with governement There were so many different types of finatical Christians it would have torn the US apart otherwise. We live in a country where laws ang governement are totally seperate from religion. If the bible was the word of God why would it need to be modified?

I don't think you get my point. Christianity is rooted in the old testament. Jesus supported the 10 commandments.

Do you have any idea how many good people died because of the 10 commandments?

They are quite obviously not the word of god nor is the old testament and yet Jesus supported it. What does that tell you about him?
