    Lowell L Morse

  • fuckin' pwned that accordion

  • Another incredible performance by the king. The best there ever was.

  • takes a master to play like that

  • my son says quote" this guy is the sweedish version of eddie van halen!" remember this show from the early 70's was sometihng we watched as a family when it ran as a weekly thing. miss that time much simpler then it seems like.

  • Great music indeed! A++++ Thank you for posting this great music! A+++

  • My Aunt Actually Graduated with Myron Floren in high school..

  • Oh My God, That Bowtie is HUGE i love it

  • sacoooo...

    esta loco el man

  • How great it is to have "You Tube". We can show our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren what a truely great accordionist Myron really was. Every time today's JUNK music comes on the TV, I switch it off and listen to one of the great accordion players. Myron, you are missed!!!!!!

  • Myron Floren was so amazing... I wish he would have done far more performances with JoAnn Castle. Those two together? Impeccable duo!

  • He was the best accordion player in the world! RIP Myron!

  • Amazing!!!!

  • What a cool accordion player he is.

  • whats with all the saxophones

  • @lsdvine remember, they had a full sized orchestra. Fantastic to say the least.

  • @lsdvine this was Welk's arrangement of the Tiger Rag. As a result, the saxophones added the "Champaign Music" touch to this version of Tiger Rag.

  • Absolutely amazing!!!!!

  • It is hard to put into words how it is to watch a true genious at work. This looked effortless and truly showed a master at work. Try watching this song played by another accrodianist and you'll see why Myron was considered the best for over 50 years.

  • Awesome performance, this video made me really happy! :D

  • I am trying to locate a copy of this performance, either cassette, CD or DVD for my grandmother. Do you know how I can find one, or if it is available?

  • This is the Dec 1979 New Years Show, you can call Margaret Heron at Welk Syndication and ask for a copy of it on DVD. About the only way to get copies of the shows. The whole show is great. Hope this helps.

  • I've scanned through your site, and WOW - you've done a fantastic job gathering and sharing gems from the Welk treasure chest! I didn't know a site like yours existed. YouTube NEEDS folks like you that reach into the Time Tunnel to preserve and disseminate outstanding performances from Baby-Boomer history. THANK YOU, and please count me as a subscriber!

  • Can't you hear that tiger grrrROWL??? Remenber, folks, this is ONE human being with ONE set of hands. Mercy. Thanks for posting, tvcollector71, but I wish some Welkie somewhere would send you a clean vid. Myron did Tiger Rag a number of times during the show's run, and, in my opinion, his best performance was on the "Big Band" tribute into'ed by Ken Delo. Perhaps someone has captured that performance - or any performance with better resolution. Five stars for the effort and the memories!

  • Wow! and all the time I thought I could play Tiger Rag, until I heard Myron Floren.

What a talent. Thank you so much.

  • LOL! A Real Hard Workout for Those Bellows! and Bass! Amazing! Enjoyed This Video!

  • He's sooo awsome!!

  • Love that Myron!!

    Norskebabe

  • The video shows you who the Greatest Accordianist of all time truly is.

  • the accordion said... " i give up you win myron...again!"

  • AWESOME VIDEO!!! this is one of the best videos i've seen of Myron, keep this on youtube! thanks soooo much!!!

  • Definately true, shows the master at his best. I remember this video had it on tape for many years. If you ever get to see Myron's performance of "Lady of Spain" from the final show in 1982 you'll love it. Truly incredible. Glad to see a younger person realizing the great musicianship Myron had. He was truly the greatest.

  • What a magnificent advert for the accordion Myron was
