How would you compare this pedal to the Zendrive 2 by Hermida? I know you've had a chance to demo both pedals and would like to get your opinion. Thanks!
I bought one of these when they first came out. The serial in mine is #3. I really adore this pedal. Also, I've had plenty of opportunities to A-B this with the original Zendrive (one of my buddies has the Zen) using LP's, Teles, etc, and the two pedals are truly 'Apples and Oranges'. The Zen compresses a lot more than the FET. The Zen colors everything a bit more (for better or worse) whereas the FET is much more of a 'garbage in - garbage out' affair. I really like the FET more...YMMV

I've completely changed my live set up to a C&E Fet Dream, and an Xotic AC plus. This pedal is so organic. your strat sounds like strat, tele sounds like tele, and LP sounds like a LP. Before you buy a zendrive, make sure you give this one a chance. I'd take the Fet any day.
"Better" is not what I would call it. It sounds different. Definitely you would have to play them side by side on your rig to make the call. There is most likely a feel differential that is going to be noticeable. Both sound great to me.
I own a BB preamp and I think it's incredible. I used to have an Ibanez TS808 and it was too muddy sounding and I would even say tame compared to it. I recommend the preamp mostly because of it's transparent sounding overdrive, and the AWESOME treble/bass eq. If you have a boost pedal as well, and I have a keeley katana, the tone that comes out is fantastic
BB is kinda nasally but thick, singy and smooth. The FET seems to have more of a fuller sound thicker, and gainer than the BB with the same smooth, singy qualities.

"Better" is not what I would call it. It sounds different. Definitely you would have to play them side by side on your rig to make the call. There is most likely a feel differential that is going to be noticeable. Both sound great to me.

If you have a boost pedal as well, and I have a keeley katana, the tone that comes out is fantastic
