  • nice catch! I caught engine 165 in Orlando Florida leading the southbound Silver Meteor two weeks ago

  • That's so cute @2:05

  • do you know what the average number of cars on the Carl Sandburg is? I'd love to catch an Illinois service train with that many coaches!

  • I'd say it's normally 4 cars long, sometimes 5 during the holidays. AmtrakBNSF said below that the train was this long that day due to spring break at Western Illinois University in Macomb.

  • That K5LA sounds strange

  • I'd have an explanation for the six cars if this video was taken on March 19th. That was day when WIU students started spring break. However, since this was taken on the 21st, I'm rather uncertain about the use of six cars. Anyways, awesome video...like and a favorite!

  • I wish the Amtrak Crescent would pull the Horizon Fleet Coaches behind the dining car or whichever way the cars were coupled up, to me, the Horizon Fleet Coaches look better than the Amfleet Cars.

  • @Kjr0se They look better, but the legroom in the Horizon Cars is horrible. They're really made for commuter services and some still don't have luggage racks.

  • was that coming from west Quincy Yard or Quincys yard in quincy

  • It's heading east coming from the BNSF yard in West Quincy.
