  • @rutgerjaap Actually, it runs better on fullscreen, but across all screens with Xinerama its slow, yes. Without Xinerama it runs great! :-D

  • nice nice very nice , so many displays in the same device.

I too wish to expand my linux video real estate.

I'm just not sure how much research and bs I'm willing to go thru for it.

  • Nice work. What is wrong with the monitor I use to work at a TV repair place.

  • @chuxxsss1 Something is wrong with a monitor?

  • I am trying to setup 3 and I am having major issues. I can get the two working just fine, but I am having issues getting the third radeon HD 6570 card to work for the other one or two. Could you post a link to your xorg file or some sort of blog tutorial? Much appreciate. Thanks.

  • @theooze1

my comment got submitted twice - not sure why but it wasn't spam.

do you have the hacked xcinerama file? also - did you have 3d effects (compiz) working ?

i have a quad monitor setup working pretty well, except for xcinerma + compiz.

  • wow that is great.

  • @emiel1976ep Thanks! Still using this setup although one of the monitors took a dump a few months ago. I have a little monitor in its place until I get around to fixing it.

  • @vvtheduckvv I wanted 2 screens and I have it now on my P4 but that are 2 5" but I want now 4 screesn that are bigger and like you have and maybe 6 screens.

I must wait till I have a new pc to do that.

Is it now easier toe do with the newer Linux versions or is Xorg still causing problems?

  • @emiel1976ep Its still just as difficult as it ever was to impliment it properly.

  • WTB: xorg.conf

  • @jrovang Has paypal? LoL! :)

  • An acer...

  • @DeNikow WRONG! 4 of them!

  • AWESOME THIS IS MY WISH! well for pc gaming.

  • Can you post your xorg.conf please?

How did you rotate just the top LCDs? i tried to rotate a single monitor of a dual LCD setup and found out that both monitors need to have the rotation with nvidia twinview.

  • @draftube I can, where would you like me to? Its rather lengthy. Rotation does indeed flip the whole twinview portal, I flipped the two top monitors which are on the same card, so I was OK with that.

  • @vvtheduckvv pastebin.com would be fine

  • With xserver-xgl you can actually get a fully 3d desktop running on multiple video cards. I am running a tripple monitor setup (15.7 mp) but its actually four as far as the computer is concerned as one monitor is running off two dual-link DVI connections (which is getting converted to four single link via the use of hardware):

    youtube.com/watch?v=FZdM2PWS39c

So you get the multiple video card/2+ monitor setup as well as full effects/great 2d (well really 3d) performance.

  • we used to put 2 screens together at school lol it would piss off the teachers.....hows your 500 coming along

  • @77toyota New channel devoted to my motorcycle projects! DuckmanCycles! The first video will be going up in the next 24 hours... it'll be a CR500 update of course!

  • you ducky bastart lol awsum looks like fun now you can watch 4 porn sites at once lol

  • That is cool :)

  • That is cool :)

  • That's cool, so you can do 4 things together, cool done

  • @MagicCadillac Yes, it makes life much easier when I do my programming.

  • That is cool. You could get a bunch more and mount them on your wall.

  • ha ha thanks for that, I think sasquatch took my gun!

  • @groutaone Haha, he was probably shootin' up some Labatt bottles behind your house.

  • sweet how do you setup your monitors hardware wise?

  • @goldnole75 The hardware setup is easy, my motherboard has dual PCI-E slots... just stuff a card in each one, then connect a monitor to each of the outputs! The monitors are all hanging from a 4-monitor mount which is screwed into the wall behind my desk. The desk is glass so it would have been too heavy to freely stand on the desk. But hte monitors are hinged and swing back and forth, or can go forwards and back and swivel around upside down if I so wish. The mount is nice!

  • @vvtheduckvv cool duck I'll have to give that a try after I hit up the FRY's!

  • nice !!!! lol

  • @BrittanyNicole1990 You just love me for my duckie-style!

  • @vvtheduckvv can't lie.

  • WOW, That must be great for Porn.

  • @PGHMEDIA I guess it could be, but how much porn do you *NEED* at once? I guess you can watch porn on one monitor while still getting work done on the other 3, lol!

  • That's awesome I would love to have something like that but I'm lucky just to be able to turn this thing on lol I have my daughters computer sitting in the closet not set up yet after our move in late April lol thumbs up -Jason

  • @2024JayZ I really built this only to show up a friend of mine. He had 3x17" screens, so I went 2x19" then he went 2x20" so I went 4x22". After this time he quit playing the outdo me game, lol!

  • thats a pretty awesome setup there

  • @LovesToDance1981 Thanks! It worked well in the past, and even better nowadays with all the recent software updates.
