Let's set the metronome to half notes, and then the whole notes on 2, then 3, and then on 4th beat, and keep the same timing. It is awesome, what played here, but it is also 80 percent of the time way ahead of the metronome. Practice to "slow" metronome, half time, and odd beats, and you would be on top of the game. Cheers!
@olegschramm I personally disagree that he is way ahead of the beat here. I think he is fairly well in time, especially considering the complexity of the rhythms.

Whip out that metronome and start with quarter notes, move to 1/8ths, 16/ths, triplets, etc.. start slow, keep the time and begin at the beginning! ;)
Yea Damian! Dude you keep on killing me with your style because I do some similar things when I'm just messing around and I hope that we can colab on a song or two! Its going to be CRAZY!!!
I once read in Bass Player that this was THE best way to build 'time' strength; starting with no fills, and like you said, not concentrating too much on harmony. And that article was spot. Great job. That has just opened a couple new doors.
cool, really nice exercise, i´m gonna practice that right now, but very slow xD

Haha yeah I know that, but that is not so fun to me! That's not my problem , my rhythm creativity is not very good.
I'll try to copy drums:). Thanks!
