  • Do you have a written out form of the prayer at the end of the video? ;)

  • Also see Rinpoche's personal Vajrayogini in Rinpoche's blog under the headline MY PERSONAL STATUE OF SACRED VAJRA YOGINI

  • @wagyora Nice :) have u been to Kechara before?

  • @wanwaimeng No... I live in Brazil and practice Dharma under the guidance of Lamas Trinley and Sönam in the Shangpa Kagyü linneage, headed by H.E. Kalu Rinpoche, but always watch H.E. Tsem Tulku's videos, and access the website every now and then. :) Perhaps one day I'm gonna visit you, my dharma friends!

  • @wagyora We have a Brazilian monk here now in Kechara KL his name is Thubten :) Kalu Rinpoche incarnation back, I love looking at this lama and Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche I dunno just love to look at the pictures of the previous incarnation of these two lamas.

  • @wanwaimeng Wow, my greetings to H.E., to the Venerable Lama Thubten and to everyone there. Yes, I like the previous incarnations, but I feel strong devotion for them in their latest "version" too!

  • @wagyora Great to hear :)

  • Thank you for this video Tsem Tulku! I love lighting candles around my Buddha. I knew it had something special, but i never knew exactly what it was till i saw this video! Now making any kind of light offerings seems to be more meaningful.

  • Buddha and HE Tsem Tulku Rinpoche says "Become the light for others and not always look for illumination from others." It is very meaningful and powerful teaching.

  • I have always loved offering lights to the Buddhas. I love what it symbolizes - dispelling of ignorance with wisdom (illumination). Also it is really very beautiful to behold. Also it must be a special type of offering for Jowo Atisha to write a prayer especially for offering butterlamps.

  • Wow what a wonderful and powerful means to get close to the Buddhas that will ultimately fuel our transformation! I love the beautiful Atisha's prayer that goes with it.

  • I read the Tsem Tulku Forum, they are teaching people how make a butter lamp yourself. very intresting, if you want to know how to DIY a butterlamp, goes to the forum.

  • I want to make more light offering from now on. There are so much merits from making light offering to buddha. Thank you for teaching us in this video.

  • This video has inspired me to set up my own butterlamp offering area in my garden. Such a wonderful way to collect merit. I wonder how Rinpoche's altar looks like?

  • You can contact the tsem ladrang liaisons beng kooi or anyone else in the ladrang, just send them an email via tsemtulku's website. Most definitely you can share in the merit of making offerings. unlike other religions, in tibetan buddhism everything is about making merit, creating causes all through the kindness of sponsors, everything in tib.buddhism is from sponsors. Sometimes they follow the lama into future lives. So i have heard...

  • I would really like to support the butterlamp house in anyway possible who can i contact regarding this meritorious offering. I tried to do it once before in my house but i just don't have the space to put soo many candles. also its just not convenient to do on a large scale everyday. Does anyone know at all whether can sponsor something towards the upkeep?

  • Thank you for sharing, Rinpoche, I wanna have a butter lamp house too - anywhere in KL I can do it?

  • His Eminence always gives the reason why we do any practice so that it is more meaningful when we do it. We are really very fortunate that H.E. patiently spends the time to explain to us for our benefit.

  • I really like this teachings by Tsem Tulku Rinpoche. It is condensed and profound. In this video, Rinpoche shares his background, the general benefit of preliminaries practices, how understanding dharma knowledge will transform our mind and the benefit of butterlamp offerings. I'm going to start burning my very own butterlamps/candles tonight at my altar.

  • What an astounding teaching on the benefits of butter lamp offerings. Thank you.

  • I love this teachings. So simple yet profound.

Most of us are stuck looking at things "our" way and we resist any type of change because we believe that we are right. Well, to check whether we are on the right track, we can check by asking ourselves whether we are completely happy. If not, it's high time we look within and change because our way of thinking has not generated happiness.

  • Rinpoche created such a beautiful Butterlamp house, its absolutely divine wish I could be there to soak up the energy of that place.

  • What is darshan is it blessing in Nepalese, towards the end of the video ? What are preliminaries and why do we have to do it?

  • By offering butterlamps is to overcome our 'darknesses' , all our negative traits based on delusions . Wonderful.

A blessing is that when we are given a blessing , our mind change , that when we offer a butterlamp we create a cuase for our mind to change . thank you Rinpoche.

I hope I can get the opportunity to see the butter lamp house , it would be very beautifully lit I suppose.

  • Rinpoche is so logical , our lives is so senseless if we do not have any right views or dharma in ti.

Because the Wordly things or getting ourselves occupied with doing things again over and over again gets us no where. We still feel empty as there is no essence in what we indulge our senses in . Very deep dharma this Rinpoche is expounding.

  • Yeah we need the collect merits and one way is to make many light offerings . I used to offer big candles during Vesak day , it helps me to understand dharma texts more.

  • Rinpoche, yep, no matter how much puja or mantras we do, if we don't change our minds or change our perspectives, we cannot be happy because we are stuck with our wrong views on worldly things! As you have stressed; dharma knowledge means correct conducts, correct views, correct attitudes n their cultivation aye aye Sir, we need to have dharma knowledge and we need to transform our minds then only we can help us to become happier how wonderful! Thank u.

  • Offerings to buddha is a way for us to collect merits and purify our bad karma, the more offerings we have, the best, as Rinpoche always says, dont be stingy to Buddha. In Lama Chopa Prayers, under the Offerings it says --> From suns, moons, glittering jewels and a host of flaming

lamps, Light frolics joyfully, dispelling the darkness of a millions worlds. How wonderful it is......tsemtulku(dot)com

  • Light dispels the darkness of ignorance . We all need a lot of butter lamps .

  • What a wonderful teaching and in such a beautiful room. Is that in the new ladrang you guys just did in kathmandu, it's fantastic work and how auspicious to have a teaching about offerings there so soon after it was done! Thank you for the new teachings, it is deeply appreciated and precious to people like us who are far away from all of you.

  • YAAY! New video!

So glad to see Rinpoche's teachings are back on YouTube!

  • Yes rejoice! You know what, if you want more videos or teachings, you should check out Rinpoche's website tsemtulkuDOTcom. Or even Kechara House (his centre) website kecharahouseDOTcom. If in the future the YouTube teachings are taken off again (hopefully not!), then you can go there ;) there's also a forum where you can ask questions to his students. I researched some of their answers before and I've found them to be quite accurate and unbiased.

  • May your holiness live long and healthy

  • Appreciate Tesm Tulku's Teachings, amazing.

  • what is that symbol behind Tsem tulku's seat, is it lion or somthing else?

  • I think its the mystical bird Gruda (Often seen as a protector mystical beast in Buddhism)

  • I am sooooooooooo happy to see more videos from Rinpoche. Eventhough I live in the States, I consider him my guru. I will move to Malaysia someday to live the Dharma of Kechara House. Now, I practice the Dharam whereever I am.

  • New videos, FINALLY! THANK YOU!!!

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE VIDEO ! ! !

  • he said the name of my Amitabha man.
