  • Kiefer restrained his inner Jack Bauer as long as he good.

  • heres what Cruise shouldve said to Kendrick "who the fuck are u to decide whats disipline based on whats written in the code of conduct manual and whats not written in it?"

  • NOW you can handle the "truth" . In a few plastic bags...

  • 1.43 To bad he didn't say that when Tom saw the Church of Scientology Building!

  • Pressing 8 repeatedly makes Tom Cruise look crazy.

  • @ericstravelchannel Tom Cruise IS crazy.

  • THIS WAS FILMED IN THE PHILIPPINES...

  • keifer got whorred

  • Gosh, Jack Bauer is sooo hot!

  • @nixieblue I agree!

  • 1:22 is my fav part

  • whoooo. this scene along with so many scenes in this movie makes it so hard to breath

  • Kiefer was so good in the flick................wish he had more screen time.

  • this movie is tom cruise`s best carreer performance.

  • "That would be fine"...prick

  • esta buena la pelicula

  • Actually to be factual, the Republicans were the ones in the sixties that were fighting for civil rights and it was people on the left, such as Al Gore's father who was fighting against the civil rights movement. So I think you need to check your facts. The media has done an amazing job at distorting factual history. All you have to do is do a little research. It's amazing how it opens your mind to the possiblity that Dems are actually the ones responsible for the messes we are fighting.

  • @coledixon1 You're wrong. Perhaps you should check YOUR facts, my friend.

  • @coledixon1 Check out the movie documentary American Drug War if you think there is a difference between demorats and republicants.

  • @coledixon1 Actually, the truth is both parties had left and right-wing factions for the first 2/3 of the 20th Century. In both parties, the conservatives were anti-civil rights and the liberals were pro-civil rights. Eventually, in the 1960s, almost all the conservative Democrats -- most of whom came from the South (e.g. Strom Thurmond, Jesse Helms...) -- defected to the Republicans, where they have remained to this day. Meanwhile, the liberal Republican wing withered away and died.

  • 9 people are in al-Qaeda.

  • @ChupacabraMaquina im sorry, where does one find drugs to make one so delusional. Was not the LEFT who orchestrated the civil rights movement, allowed African Americans To vote? IS THAT RUINING OUR COUNTRY! IS IT? now if it is than well your a racist pig and say what you want. BUT IF IT ISNT then SHUT THE FUCK UP and think before you speak.

  • Tom Cruise is such a fucking pussy -- just like the character he plays here. Fucking JAG. It's because of "Code Reds" that pansy asses like him have jobs as "lawyers". And then they always go and bite the hands that feed them.

"No, I like all you Navy boys. Everytime we gotta go some place to fight, you fellas always give us a ride."

    Semper Fi.

  • @phralmulo Semper Fi lol. Bunch of mindless sheeps. Go stand on your wall! hahahhahahahahha baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • @ReggaeMusic3 Uh. And you are? And you're better in what way?

  • @ReggaeMusic3- Shut the fuck up and go listen to your reggae music.

  • @ReggaeMusic3 You stupid sack of shit. It's because of the US Marines and US Armed Forces that no terrorist has blown up your house asshole. Go suck one. phramulo, i agree. Semper Fi

  • @ReggaeMusic3 Yeah - until you're pissing in your pants, BEGGING for "daddy" to come "save you". Typical libtard. Go stand on your wall? Why should they? It's YOUR fucking wall, and by your sentiments, it shouldn't be guarded. Then we'll see you whimper and cry in your cowardly, defenseless reality. People like you make me literally sick to my stomach. You have no honor - no courage - no conviction. You just bitch, piss-and-moan, and complain. Perpetual gripes, with no contribution. Useless.

  • @BBCater nicely said - i like that -lol

  • Kevin Bacon needs to fuck off, interrupting all the time.

  • press 8 repeatedly haha!

  • Lieutenant Kendrick! Doesn't the King James Bible say something about "bearing false witness" ? I'm pretty sure its against the rules in that manual as well.

  • Ooh young Tom Cruise <3 Love this movie

  • I object you honor! the defense is using six degrees of Kevin Bacon to badger the witness!!!

  • Very good quality! I like!

  • 5:09 a bit of acting that merits the term "unique." Love when something offered that you haven't seen in most films, i.e. the look of shaking oneself into attention when emotionally enthralled. KS knows how to act with the eyes.

  • Nice my last name is kendrick

  • if kiefer sutherland had the same haircut as tom cruise he would look betta than him

  • Is he unaware that there's a New Testament in his Bible? No, because if he was, he'd have to resign his position with the military. He would have no choice. In his time, Paul was probably the equivalent of Oliver North, until the Holy Spirit re-directed him.

  • God I love acting like this!

  • i know this movie has many or contains alot of things people might or might not agree on but one things for sure tom cruise sure luks gud in that suit Owww Loll

  • I'd love to see a stage production of this... in fact, I'd like to produce and act in a stage production of this! I'll play Jessup...

  • @A01002401

"I'd like to produce and act in a stage production of this! I'll play Jessup..."

YOU WANT THE ROLE? YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE ROLE!!

  • A military with morals is a dead military. Swords and shields don't think. They do what their wielders put them to do.

  • @buzzclick500 ya sure swords and shields dont think...but those who are supposed to carry them and use them better have a good reason to use them...its a pity when all the weaponary is handled by unthinking minds...

  • @Anny1800 : It's a Catch-22: the military represents the violent force which a society uses to protect itself when under attack. If people thought about what they were doing under those circumstances, their capacity to execute their duties would be nullified.

  • @buzzclick500 ya you are right...but u know what, i feel that these days the bigger the capacity to annihilate mankind, the bigger or more powerful a country is considered...i dont know where the mankind took a wrong turn but the outcome is not very pleasant...apart from the feelings on killings n all, the movie is good and at least it shows that men can stand up to righteous acts, truth and justice if they "want' to...if they want to do something, they can face ppl like jessup

  • @buzzclick500 Yes, but then the wielders have to do what the politicians direct them to do. Right= Gheorghij

  • @Gheorgyi : The politicians may be in for some big surprises--something good and something huge is happening. ;])

  • Kiefer Sutherland should torture Tom cruise in the phone booth not colin farrell

  • Of course, Kendrick is lying after he took an oath on the Bible, showing all his babbling about God and the Bible to be complete bullshit.

  • @larrymcg421- Well, it's likely he was ordered to lie by Colonel Jessup, which is where things get rather complicated.

  • @Jurassic0Al The americans tried to hammer into everybody's head, at the time of the Nueremberg trial, that disobeying an illegitimate-illegal-criminal order is quite all right and is what one should do. Of course, they were trying a group of another nationality. From the viewpoint of logics, there would be several questions to be asked. Anyway, american court martials are farces. Gheorghij

  • @Gheorgyi- You know what your problem is, Georgie? You talk too fucking much and aren't really saying anything. Yak, yak, yak, yak, yak, yak- six yak's when you could have easily written three.

  • @larrymcg421 To Kendrick, Jessup is above God.

  • @larrymcg421 You know, it says in the bible not to swear (swear as in I swear, not as in cuss) so the whole swearing on the bible thing makes no sense.

  • @heatbucspies55

Being an american means you don't have to make sense :)

  • @ObamaIsPathetic : ;])

  • @ObamaIsPathetic Oh, we knew THAT... Gheorghij

  • @ObamaIsPathetic Oh, it's been known for a LONG time... Gheorghij

  • @Gheorgyi- Who the fuck are you? George Patton? The Duke of Wellington? Douglas MacArthur? Always signing your goddamn name at the end of every goddamn comment you write. Hey, I'm [NAME]! How about I sign that at the end of every frigging comment? My God complex will survive without that unnecessary act, I assure you.

  • @Jurassic0Al Check your e-mail. Gheorghij

  • @Gheorgyi- Georgie, you don't have my email. And I thank God for that. I assume you mean my inbox for my YT account? Yeah. I look forward you whatever message you sends me, Georgie.

  • @Jurassic0Al “Assuming” correctly, bozo-boy; through YT channels, what else??!!! Now open up your

baby-blue eyes wide, and read carefully: a new year has come, I won’t waste any more time on someone like you, I’ve already done so too much: "... whatever message YOU sendS me", indeed. Go back to school and start on your English all over again, bozo-boy - after all, it should be your mother tongue. " Bozo" " a foolish incompetent person”: that’s YOU, to a “t”. Gheorghij

  • @Gheorgyi- Georgie, you're making even less sense than usual. Nothing you have said so far has had any impact, because I have no idea what you've been talking about. Your writing is sloppy, your message convoluted and grammar terrible. And now I'm getting some contemptuous, high-handed dismissal? It's like having the dictator of a tiny country say he's better than every head of state in NATO. Absolutely ridiculous. If you're too good to talk to me, then bye. Off you go. I won't miss you.

  • @heatbucspies55

thats argumentative....a matter of whether it should or should not be taken in the literal sense, i think:-)

  • Sutherland is the truf, not Truth, but Truf as they say in the streets. I would love to see Jack Bauer take on Jason Bourne.

  • 3:32 - when says the word 'commited' is sounds a little posh, he is nearly accentless...maybe it's the canadian breaking through.

  • Funny how Sutherland played this guy who went on trial, and then Jack Bauer who also went on trial.

  • Sutherland was so creepy, so good in this role.

  • Never watched this movie, who is the bad guy here?

  • @hongyewu You've NEVER watched the movie!!?? - u gotta go rent it. It tells the story of different views of justice and one mans distorted view of "saving lives" - whats may be right is one mans eyes is wrong in another.

  • You could tell that if a ballpoint pen was within arms reach he would have threatened to carve out Tom Cruise's eye. HE ONLY DID WHAT WAS GOD DAMN NECESSARY!!!

  • @ForceRecon198 pfft. If he was doing his "job" then so was the lawyer.

  • He obviously had Chloe giving him the answers from CTU through a earpiece microphone.

  • 1:22, and knowing what a robot he is, he probably self-righteously believes that those are the only 2 books he ever needs to read. Kiefer was really good in this.

  • I think Kiefer Sutherland should torture Tom Cruise.

  • @sarcasm89 Every time I watch this scene, I expect Kendrick to jump out of his seat, grab Tom Cruise by the throat and yell "Where's the bomb???" in full Jack Bauer glory!

  • @sarcasm89 He does that anyway, by being about a 1000 times better at acting.

  • @sarcasm89 Put him in Phone booth :D

  • @sarcasm89 I was going to thumb up... but since you've got 24 thumbs up..somehow I think that's fitting and to make it 25 would not do.. :)

  • @sarcasm89 hahaha.

  • OMG, I watched this movie quite a few times and I've never noticed that it was Kiefer Sutherland! I guess I was used to him having long hair.

I need to watch it again, cause I really like Kiefer. lol

  • You guys need to chill the hell out!

It's a movie not an excuse to debate

  • roebuckroebuckroebuck

  • lol Kendrick is a militant religious freak. Perfect cannon fodder.

  • Always easier to play the brain-dead redneck, isn't it? This is a movie, and therefore depicts events and individuals that are not fictional? Really? Holy-fucking-shit! Thank you for that, Captain Obvious, now shut up and get outta my fucking face! Books, movies, and such are supposed to make us think. I pity those, like you, with too short an attention span to be able to do so.

  • @Jurassic0Al You are too intelligent for YouTube, mate.

  • @SpaceMonkey1983- It can happen...

  • i dont beleve it was kendrick it was jessup the whole time kendrick was innocent or wait maybe it was captain ross what about wait im captain ross why would i kill santiago

  • To a certain degree, I can't blame Jessup and Kendrick but to a certain degree I can. These men are soldiers and their job is to defend America. Who are we civilians to question them and their methods if they have been put in charge to run their outfit that does this responsibility? Nevertheless,I think that "code of honor"can be taken to the nth degree where it creates a paradox of what the uniform is supposed to represent in the first placethat being HUMANITY.The Nazis had the same problem

  • I think if i was Jessup, i would be furious but would have listend to Lt.col Matthews advise of shipping him of the base. And who wants people that are not strong enough for the job in his unit?

  • If Kendrick testified against Jessip, would his career been over? I mean if i was a high ranking officer, i didn't want to have guys that would testifie against me in court.

  • my dad was a lawyer on that trial

  • thrilling legal drama

  • the gentleman next to Kevin Bacon?

  • @speens111 Well, ain't THAT interesting... Gheorghij

  • Way to go, you little pansy-ass Navy lawyer, blatantly disrespecting a Marine officer. Openly mocking a Marine under any circumstances is not something any lawyer who has never and will never see combat should take lightly.

  • Disrespectful, you mean like being called a "little pansy-ass"?

I suppose you think everyone in the military should be in a combat role or else they are worthless. Would you prefer the military hire civilian lawyers?

  • Respect is given where it is due. Colonel Jessup and Lieutenant Kendrick and men like them shouldn't be disrespected by younger personnel who have never been where those men have. Noncombat personnel deserve respect and have a useful role as well, but supply sergeants and lawyers should not talk down to Screaming Eagles and Rangers.

  • @Jurassic0Al What the hell did those two do to deserve having their ass kissed by Kaffee? Kaffee is not under Jessep's command; He is a lawyer with a legitimate suspicion that Jessep and Kendrick committed a grave wrongdoing against a Marine under their charge and are now trying to cover it up. The only respect Kaffee should be showing is addressing Jessep as either "Colonel" or "sir".

  • They are combat vets. They are both men who have been shot at before and will be again, and here is this Navy officer who hardly even knows what combat is, failing to show them proper respects. I'm objecting to that attitude he sometimes seems to have. His suspicions and willingness to pursue them are right- but that tone of voice he uses a little too often does not strike me as terribly respectful.

  • @Jurassic0Al Yes but how else can Kaffee prove his position. The only way was by getting under Jessep's skin. The fact that Jessep may have had an impeccable service record prior to this incident is no reason for Kaffee to temper himself.

  • Well, that attitude of his and the pushiness he tended to display got Kaffee more than a few objections that were sustained by the judge. Giving someone who most everyone else respects attitude can often just make them not like you. How Kaffee conducted his side of the case got results- he unnerved Jessup enough to cause his downfall- but being a little less smart about it wouldn't have hurt.

  • @Jurassic0Al All we know is, Jessup had wanted to know if Kaffee had ever faced " the working end of a cuban russian-made Ak-47 assault gun". - but has never stated to have been in action himself. Kendrick is much younger, and so it's possible he never was. Do we know their combat record? No, but we know they have their lunches and breakfasts (dinners too, I guess) served on a terrace by a white-jacketed servant. Not a reason to command respect at a court-martial hearing. Gheorghij

  • @Gheorgyi- First, it was obvious enough to everyone in the case that LT Kaffee had never seen combat. Navy lawyers don't much do that, so no surprise there. LT Kendrick is not a combat vet either, I believe. But he is a Marine and very good at being one. As for COL Jessup, I suggest you take a closer look at the ribbons he wears and address your ignorance regarding decorations of the US Armed Forces. Jessup has a Navy Cross, Silver Star, Bronze Star, and served at least one tour in Vietnam.

  • What I am saying is that Kaffee should have been more impartial, trying to bring out the facts and leaving his attitude out of it. I know and respect the profession of lawyers well- several men in my family have been lawyers. But we always are respectful to soldiers, especially those who serve in front-line units. You are right about how Jessup should be addressed, however, and I am not saying Kaffee should have been idolizing the man.

  • @Jurassic0Al "... should have been more impartial". WHY??!!! He's attorney for the defense, so it is HIS JOB to be PARTIAL All we have direct knowledge o about Jessup is his bragging and bombasting, his comfortable living quarters in Guantanamo, his well-appointed table, and his liveried servant. Gheorghij

  • @Gheorgyi- Hm. Let's look at this- "WHY??!!!" If I counted that out right, in addition to an all-caps 'why', and all caps generally means screaming online, you wrote two question marks and three exclamation marks. Not necessary.

I am aware of what a lawyer's job is.

Considerably more can be learned about COL Jessup if you were doing less bombasting yourself and more paying attention.

  • Colonel Jessup is clearly a brave man and a skilled and capable soldier, worthy of being addressed with respect by all. But what he did was wrong. It is right that he loses his command and goes on trial himself. If he truly was in the business of saving lives, and cared for the safety of each of his men, he'd have had Santiago transferred or maybe even discharged. Some folks just don't belong in bases like the one Jessup runs, or in the military altogether.

  • @Jurassic0Al Jessup is, even more clearly, just a fictional character, impersonated by an actor - Nicholson This character has been the cause of TWO deaths - of soldier Santiago with his "Red Code" order; of his second-in-command, faitrhful to his C.O. to the point of falsifying an officialk document (the transfer order( and then killing himself from shame to have done it. .Nobody to swoon about, with or without your illustrious "ancestor" being dragged in.

  • @Gheorgyi- COL Jessup is a character, played by an actor? Thanks for that. You dumb motherfucker.

  • @Jurassic0Al Jessup is, even more clearly, just a fictional character, impersonated by an actor, Nicholson, who has been the cause of TWO deaths - of soldier Santiago with his "Red Code" order; of his second-in-command, Lt.Col. Markinson, faithful to his C.O. to the point of falsifying an officialk document (transfer order) and then of killing himself from shame to have done it. .Nobody to swoon about, even fictionally - your illustrious "ancestor" notwithstanding. Got it, boy-o? Gheorghij

  • Now, one of my ancestors was a mix between Kaffee and Jessup- a CS Army Major, he fought more battles than Kaffee had court cases or hot meals. A combat infantryman through and through. But he was a college graduate, the principal of an academy for a time, and was admitted to the Tennessee state bar, so he knew plenty of Kaffee's world too.

  • You make some valid points, and I honestly wish you had just said this the first time, instead of questioning my sanity or whatever it was you did. But do you get my point?

  • I am sure that at some point in his career, the Major I refer to did things or gave orders that Kaffee, had he been there, would have called 'morally questionable'. But questionable or not, the orders he gave were followed by the unit he commanded. There is a reason why the 3rd TN infantry Regiment survived as long as it did. As regiment of Kaffees might have lasted a week. His whole line of questioning about PVT Bell is ridiculous. Dawson disobeyed an order, and that is *it*.

  • tom cruise is serious fucking business

  • And as it happens, so is Jack Nicholson, perhaps more so.

  • Not to Jack Bauer!

  • @Jurassic0Al

Dawson did the right thing by disobeying that order. You are not required to follow unlawful orders.

  • @aGWARfan Not only with a legitimate suspicion, but with a job to do: representing the two defendants. Jessup and Kendrick are not only trying to cover up what they did, they have also thrown those two to the wolves - and (Jessup himself says) they are now risking their lives - which means, chancing a death penalty.SHOULD they, to save that old fart??!!! . Gheorghij

  • @Jurassic0Al What I'd like to know is why everybody gets so hot under the collar about a situation and people that are wholly imaginary. This is a MOVIE, a fictional event, for Pete's sake, and those are ACTORS. Gheorghij

  • @Gheorgyi : Excellent. ;])

  • @Gheorgyi- You sure aren't doing the best job I've ever seen of remaining calm in a situation where not everyone is remaining so.

  • @Jurassic0Al lol get a grip

  • Was there someting specific you wanted, "lol"? Since when did I need to 'get a grip' on something? I will tell you now I have no idea what you are talking about, so enlighten me.

  • @Jurassic0Al You sure have a fitting name, considering your jurassic mindset. lol

  • Wow, are you ever strange. I guess being reasonable and explaining your odd behavior is out of the question, isn't it? Too bad.

  • Lt. if you had ordered Dawson to give Santiago a code red is it feasible to think that he would disobey you again?

    gotcha Kendrick!

  • "Jack Bauer: The Early Years"

Now we know where Bauer got his training, the U.S.M.C.

  • LOL and I thought he was just an average guy who happened to be good at killing terrorists but I guess not.

LOL, look at the Santiago Meeting clip in the related videos section & you see that Jack Nicholson trained Jack Bauer!

  • LOL

  • If this was today & real, Keifer would probably headbutt this scientologist

  • @SeanConnery9000 The point is, exactly, that IT ISN'T real. Yankees, don't get so hot under the collar - it raises the blood pressure. Gheorghyi

  • It's JACK BAUER (24) VS. ETHAN HUNT (MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE).

    Spy VS. Spy.

  • that would be a sweet fight, but in the end it wouldnt matter.jason bourne could take them both out at the same time haha

  • This is true. What most people also don't know is that Jason Bourne could also kill Chuck Norris.

Check out my video on this subject on my channel.

  • Keifer recently was the voice of a 90-year-old general in Monsters VS. Aliens & the voice of a colonel in The Simpsons.

    Guess he loves the military

  • He did voice over in COD World At War too. It fits him, his voice and posture. Especially in this flick.

  • Yeah, I know and he was also the voice of the 90-Year-Old General in Dreamwork's MONSTERS VS. ALIENS.

I wouldn't had known that was his voice had I not read the newspaper and read what the cast consisted of.

    Pretty underrated actor.

  • "Argumentative and irrelevant badgering of the witness"...sounds like You Tube.

  • I thought it was amusing when Kafe made the the comment of Kendricks approval of this court as not being a proper authority or therein to that effect "Watch yourself consellor"

  • Aaron Sorkin = greatest screenplayer writer of all time

  • my reply to :29 is, "but i can't handle the truth"

  • Watch the movie...at the end they say Kendrick's trial starts in a few weeks. You're right he's not on trial HERE. But he most certainly is put on trial after the movie ends. No one's above the law.

  • ohmygod now i wanna watch the whole film

  • Overall, it is worth watching.

  • lol...I don't think Kendrink was 'on trial' here...he was just a witness.

  • at least spell it right. If you think they are fags, please feel free to stand in front of them.

  • You gotta love the Marines! Warriors and Men of Distinction.

  • kiefer is an amazing actor.

  • Did you see him in Dark City? Another amazing performance.

  • yea Jack Bauer

  • Yes, one of the best!!

  • 5:09 - spot on

  • kendrick is an arse

  • i lov dat movie...best movie ever

  • one hell of a movie!

  • cruise a brilliant actor grow up the other actors (and I stress that word) made this movie

  • what word?

  • Cruise is such a billiant actor. Too bad his movie selction has been more than questionable (not were the paychecks i guess)
