Lisa Kelly from Ice Road Truckers just turned me on to you. This is what she was jamming to when she was running the mountain roads. She defiantly knows how to live life to the fullest. cool ass music.
@Firebirdking61 i feel bad that u found out about this song from a terrible show about people noones ever heard of that drive delivery trucks in the snow... and sorry but listening to dj sasha and driving a 18 wheeler in the arctic isnt exactly living life to the fullest. now if u were in a ferrari testerossa driving down the coastline of panama doing well over 130 on exstacy with a bombshell in the passenger seat..... id be inclined to beleive you.
@clintcastle Is it progressive, progressive trance or trance?? As Paul Trouble Anderson once said "A house is where I live. A garage is somewhere I park my car." go figure...
Whilst on the subject of FOOD & labelling this particular piece of music certainly wouldn't have a best before label as it's a timeless classic!! :-)
If I could bottle yhe sound from 0.53 to 1.45 until my dying day id be a happy man forever, stunning piece of music that sends electricity through my body. Thanks Sasha
Can anyone tell me what genre of music this is, please?! Also, I'm looking for more or less the same kind of thing, but dirtier / darker with more of a kick!! Can anyone point me in the right direction, please?! I want to invite a friend to a dirty house rave, but not sure where to look! Help.... please?!
@kizz333 You could check Deadmau5' Album: Get Scraped... Has a lot of diff stuff... Sasha's xpander reminds me a bit of Deadmau5' Intelstat, tho intelstat is Neo-trance...
This song, has stuck with me since i heard it on a flash game like 7 years ago. its just an amazing song, makes me wanna get up and dance around... but in a mellow way lol
Why we like this song the most? Because we are old school people. We don't like this new electro bass line in new school trance without any emotion in melody. And I belive 90% of you never heard anything decent from 90s.
This song make me travel to that times when the trance music was a beautiful art... *tear*.
Oh man, you dont know how much I love this track, this song is good when you are going to sleep and imaginate traveling into a space warp and the terrain moving with the sound rythm like a spectrum.
Sasha could have been God... but then there was Digweed... together they were amazing, Sasha could have been incredible but Digweed is always one little bit better...
people, why do some of you raise this song up sky high? It's not that good at all... some songs I don't like at first, I like them at second or third listen, but this is nothing special, unlike you who love it - claim it's the best song ever... IT'S NOT! And yeah I like trance and know good songs
@PurgerKaj You dont know good songs if you dismiss Xpander and its history. Remember its your opinion and everyone has one, but yours is special cause of NBC. You know what Im saying. I don't know what your motive was to comment but please GO AWAY!
yeah dude I know, I've been listening to trance for few years now, and this song is good, but nothing so special, it's not much better than other old school songs... just saying, it's my opinion, doesn't mean I'm right
@PurgerKaj the Wipe Out 3 version is much much better, it's more compact it goes in a diferent speed (faster) etc the game version is just better. The game version is an A+ this one is an A-
@HMGC85 Asi es, a mi me toco esa generación emergente de los raves aun muy underground poco despues sale WFM 969 y todo comienza a tomar forma y vienen las fiestas en los mejores clubs de aquellos tiempos. Como extraño esa epoca.
Wow, does this bring me back to 2000. Right when I started getting into listening to electronic/techno music. Xpander was an incredible track when it came out in 1999 and still sounds amazing after ten years.
For everyone who loves Trance, this will be in your Top ten trance tracks of all time, if it isn't, then pick another genre, because you fail at recognising genius.
@Demandred1971 Already is on mines and is one track that actually helps me relax and forget about the world and my problems, also puts me in to a trance like state (so to speak) until the track comes to an end.
@Gstyle011 I used to take the wipeout disc and pop it in my cd play...track one was a data file but track 2 and beyond and you got the whole soundtrack. I listened to this track so many times. I love Wipeout and XPANDER!
I saw everything on the way down. It was as if I was in a spherical pod shooting my way down from space to earth...but it was completely clear....watching the stars and the planets speed by my eyes...beginning to see the atmosphere change the entire appearance of what my eyes were comprehending...then back down into my body....That is the perfect trip.
damn, i had no idea there was an extended version. anybody else like this song because of wip3out? XD seriously, this was the song that got me into electronic music
The sesation is probably called 'The Sublime' if were gunna get really arsey. Its fascinated artists, poets and writers in particular, whereas the DJ and the musiciansa re actually acting as the shaman to induce the mystic state ( by mystic I mean a feeling that cannot be put into words and often is transcendental and positive)
This could very well be the best song ever made in the history of the universe. It's mystic, because it relies on repeated rhythms and subtle changes in order to induce trance in the listener- the same process that shamans and tribal people enjoyed for millenia.
I love what Charlie May said in a club one day. "So what did Sasha bring to Xpander?" May - "Money." Still don't think he gets enough recognition for this song after a decade.

Sorry Rabbitweed below is Sasha.
As you can see he not only makes beautiful music, he also has a very large hand in remixing classics too.

Sasha - Horse, Careful is another classic.
Must admit Ohmna after about 3-4 mins really belts in and of course Belfunk has a kind of spookiness about it too.
He is 'the son of god' as he was once known. Enjoy!!!

i like it a lot, synths are well filtered in thrillseekers - synaesthesia style! One of my favourite tunes ever! Pu it in my case by now! Adam Seller

I was just discovering this kind of music when this was one of the first tracks to just snatch me right out of my body and make me forget where I am. Truly immersing tracks just like this are why I'm so passionate about the music I love.
