  • "White people don't really talk about race until people of other races bring it up" I love that. I'm not a racist person, but I freely admit that I am a racially aware person. I grew up in the 90's where in high school you were basically considered a bitch or a punk for being white. Conversely, white people have been groomed for generations to steer clear if Blacks. White, Asian, Black and Mexican children playing in a sandbox... NONE of them care about race outside of basic curiosity.

  • @BattleScarGigantica Demographically, attitudes differ dramatically. I never cared, until I got to high school. My Racial 'awareness' or 'issues' stem DIRECTLY from aggressive interactions with Black people over the course of my life. I wasn't born this way, I have been created, through years and years of abusive language, aggressive behavior and increasingly "Typical" Black mentalities and stereo-types. Black people (in my experience) act as though they actually own slavery and suffering cont.

  • @BattleScarGigantica NONE, are willing to apologize on behalf of their race for the slavery and suffering inflicted on the Jewish people in Biblical times. Remember, it was Egypt (North Africa, ie. Africans) that first enslaved based upon Racial or Spiritual superiority. So this stance on slavery and restitution is utterly ridiculous. Not to mention the fact that it was OTHER WHITE PEOPLE that fought for Black people's freedoms. A fact so conveniently over-looked by the Black population.. often.

  • How do you know those people haven't been discriminated against? Just because they didn't live through the 60s, it doesn't mean they are not still discriminated at one point or another. I'm irish-american and I understand about me not having to prove myself as a non-racist, but I can also understand someone's sensitivity toward them feeling discriminated if they have indeed been discriminated before- it is something they they now look out for, and like you said... racism still does exist.

  • The term "racist" thrown at white people is so out of control these days that you can't have an intelligent discourse about it anymore. EXAMPLE. You have (conservatively) 20million illegal hispanic aliens. They call themselves(undocumented)suggesting that the only problem that exists is that they only need papers to be citizens. The backlash is that we feel that they should go through the process that our government has set up. When that is suggested, immediately whites are labled racists.

  • Hey....whats wrong with short people...? Don't look down on short people cuz you're tall! haha jk! :) Good video! well spoken!

  • Nice video. There are many people that are caught in the past and dont want things to change. Racism is all over there place and is perpetuated by many different elements. Check out my page on facebook 'i hate clubs that discriminate!!!' Dont let the name fool ya, it deals with more than just clubs.

  • When you say being in the ghetto is not about your race. More black people tend to be in the ghetto BECAUSE of their race and racism against them

  • @lildevil877 Yeah, White people made Black people have children they could not afford to raise... plus, we all know that Black people sitting along side White people in school, are taught different material by their White teachers so they are more likely to fail out of school. OBVIOUSLY White people are directly responsible for Black people destroying the neighborhoods they live in with trash and gangs and spray-paint. CLEARLY White people force Black people into crime. Laughable...

  • i did listen to your talk carefully and i find that you keep contradicting yourself. instead of making comments based on solely your experience, maybe start reading more books like "lies my teachers told me" , "Speaking Treason Fluently", "privilege, power, and difference".

i'm not dissing your opinions because unfortunately it is what most people tend to think that way, but i seriously want to challenge you to think about this subject more.

  • "but maybe the reason why people feel like they need to tell they're not racist is because you're assuming that just because they're white, they're racist"

so are you assuming that all non-whites assume that whites are racist? so that's pretty much stereotyping.

please put down your camera next time. it just makes it hard to listen to you with blair witch project camera work. And why would you say that non-whites don't experience racism today, when you said earlier that there are racists stil

  • @snookedbe Because yes there are racists still, but I live in the one of most diverse states in the country. And I didn't say that non-whites DON'T experience it today ever. I was just saying that there are a lot of young people who haven't really experienced it, they just throw the race card out because they can! Im not saying that its all that way. No pun intended but its not a black in white subject which is why you say I'm "contradicting" myself when really I'm just trying to see both sides.

  • I think racism is stupid. I'm a hispanic btw and I oppose racism. I have a white girlfriend. Btw, nice Fullmetal Alchemist poster. FMA is awesome
