Hej!
The problem with nicknames! Our Cowparsnip looks different than yours. I only know a few wild mushrooms & stick to them until mushroom school. One note I dislike the adding wood later method of fire building. I have seen fires fail like this. I think you know that about me in any case.
No I think I mostly note it other places. No worries. Just my thoughts. I love your videos & your still the man. It is just Tossdart has been at this stuff a while & I'm like a real big knot in a block of wood. Try 3x3 tipi, tinder, to 1 hug spruce twig bundle, to 1", 2, " 3,", 4", 6" then any size logs if you like. Just leave air holes. Light tinder & time how long to complete ignition. Now start small then add. Let me know results okay. I predict 45 seconds flame leaps out top of tipi
yeah i have make fires like that and it works good, if you know how i make my fires when i dont have the cam on, then you just gonna think im crazy, hehehe,,
Like in my stove video. I make entire fire structure first. So if I need cooking fire 3 ft X 3ft, all larger logs already in place in tipi or criss cross form & a hole to place bundle or match. Tinder & kindling burns to squaw wood, then to logs no delay. I establish coals & cook on them. One can also lay wet or green logs & fire inside. In severe weather build BIG, BIG Spruce twig bundle 2 hugs, squaw wood then bigger & bigger. Of course in Alberta blizzard without shelter its all done.
i try to have my fires burning the same way the samis have ther fire burning,
so i dont do much diging in the fire pit,
i try the dakta fire before when i was young, its working good, but i like my fires to give a way heat to the sides and the dakota fire dont do that, its cold here :0)
YESSSS!!!!!! Thanks Fredde, there are lots, but seriouslu lots of cow-parsleys growing in a small forest nearby. I once dug up the root, but wasn't sure whether it was edible or not. Thanks, I once read something on the internet about it, but didn't want to take any unnecessary risks. Now you showed me it actually IS possible to eat the root. Thanks again, I've got so many growing in a small forest nearby that I could survive on cow-parsleys alone!
good video, I imagined whilst you were washing the perch of a big pike jumping on it and your fingers and though you were gonna hold the pikes mouth open grin and say primitive fishing lol.
There is a tv advert currently here where they use a bird sitting on a stick to catch fish, probably why I thought of the pike etc.
for some years a go a pike bite a little girls in the hand when she did the same thing i did in the video, ,,, heheheh but she pul it up from the water, and her dad kill it, the only bad thing was she need to go to the hospital stitch her hand together,
Ha ... i mean " fried pike " you know - crusty, crispy ...something like that ... made in hot oil. And therefor are the sticks - to avoid red fingers!

This plant is too easy to confuse with the VERY poisonous Hemlock...you should use an edible wild plant field guide to properly identify it.
