I'm not a hardcore meat eater, and am not an advocate of the Atkins Diet eating meat doesn't make us inhumane. Yahushua (Jesus), ate meat such as fish, lamb, as the Levitical Laws permitted. this is powerful, and I completely agree it is at the core of issues. When we compare the issue of animal based clothing, to animal food, you can sense the different reaction. Saying you should wear vegan clothing is a much softer issue than food. Saying you should eat food directs people to the solar plexus. This is the starting point of ISSUES! this is where we are dealing with problems, and where people are more or less taking liberties of ignorance.

I'm against factory farming and the overuse of antibiotics, growth hormones, pesticides and the like, but I have seen this guy in interviews before. Tuttle makes some pretty ridiculous claims, such as that we live on electrons, and our blood is made of light. He should demonstrate this, but I guess he sees science as patriarchal and maybe sinister. I know it's been said thousands of times, but extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

The book is great, i especially like the Objections Answered chapter--good practical advice for relating to others. I also found the research into Jesus' beliefs regarding animals and compassion to be very illuminating. Dr. Tuttle obviously is a learned scholar and is able to pull together concepts on several levels and make sometimes startling conclusions/revelations. He makes so many good arguments and backs them up with solid research without sounding too dry or academic. Highly recommended.
