  • DIJ greatly admired Joy Division

  • Great goth synth pixiewave that's not so last friday. Reminds me of early Ministry.

  • I really like this song, even though I don't like much of DiJ's more "danceable" tunes. It's really catchy... unlike that half assed cover of "Little Black Angel" made by Ladytron...

  • Pigeon,lol.

  • PIGEON lol

  • PIGEON lol. good though.

  • Its actually Mk II of The Calling

  • Nice holidays!

  • great song <3

great pictures, Gdańsk is so beautiful!

    thumb up from me

  • Why do people always talking about Mr Boring-Dougla Pee???

Wakeford was also involved in this sound

And of course and it is his Patrick Leagas!!

  • I don't understand, it's the same than Nosferatu from this band, So, which one is the good one between the two ?

  • What a superb song and video!

    Keep it running.

    Time will vindicate.

  • wait wasnt douglas friends with throbbing gristle and cabaret volitare? surely thats the influence on this song?

  • 242likes!!! hahahaha

  • Sadly, you hardly heard DIJ in the clubs in San Fran.. Unless I requested it and Ed always played it for me..

  • The main diffrence is that the vocals by Patrick Leagas not Douglas P, sounds more like his later project Sixth Comm, which is great!

  • Fantastic song , although slightly different from the rest of the DIJ catalog. An essential track for the long-time devotee. But not a good track for a newbie to DIJ, it will set the balance off and might set an incorrect impression of the rest of their music which again is under-rated and will last forever.

Every time I hear this song, no matter which version it always triggers a a good place in my drab life.

  • makes modern "music" look shalow and uninspired drivel. at least this is about something. read less think more.

  • sounds like joy division

  • ...!

  • great song! great pictures too|

  • Superbes photos... merci à toi...... Wonderful Fotos... Thank a lot...I enjoy it....

    Kriztow

  • I pretty much appreciate DIJ, but I never knew this. Fuck, this is great. Praise them with great praise!

  • The Best Death in June song!

  • nice pictures, even though Gdansk in black and white loses part of its charme ;)

  • Pretty girly!

  • this is Death in June - The calling (MK II)

  • I like the folky DIJ stuff but I think this track is great too. It sounds like early industrial music.

  • Misanthro-electric for the win!

  • A noi!!!!!

  • Depeche Mode?? Secluded from the real world these days?

  • really nice photos!

  • @HarshDiscipline: Nada

  • which album is this on?

  • nada!

  • Hey Douglas you should visit Germany again

  • Sound s a little bit like early depeche mode

And cool pictures. I must discover poland again. The last time I was there where before the fall of the Berlin wall

  • @Schmand2001 Like Depeche Mode's more gothic brothers. Great stuff!

  • I always loved this song.

  • What's the song title of the one by Death in June when the music becomes more and more distoriented as it goes on?

  • The music is not becoming more and more disorientated as it goes on, you're just on drugs.

  • @weishauptogram nephnew dephragmentation YU NO

not a single thing do you??

  • Good !!!

  • Love this song, absolutely!

  • i can't believe people who call themselves real DIJ fans dog on this song. This is a great representation of the style Douglas P was going for at the time. A huge dance club floor filler! Great pictures too!

  • Well its a Patrick Leagas song, its his voice and music. I can understand people who dont like this and prefer Douglas P:s voice and music . But I love both Leagas and Douglas! this is one of my fav songs ever.

  • Actually, this song was written 100% by Patrick Leagas, who indeed reprised it numerous times with his later project 6 Comm. He also played it live in the tour this year.

The early DI6 was an alchemy of 3 different personalities, it wasn't just Douglas. Every electronic song on "Nada!" and the singles released at the time was written by Patrick.

  • if you had a MC-303 groovebox in 1992 you'd know how average this "club track" is.

Its just DIJ + a very average Roland program.

  • Actually, if you had a "brain" you would know that this song came out in 1984 and at that time it was far from "average".

  • @coalhalo any music from the 80s is superior to the drivel today.

  • I used to have a Roland! Hahahaha! Well spotted!

  • I had a 303 as well. this track would take 3minutes and 3 instrument tracks plus the drumset.

I love DIJ's accoustic material, but this sounds so much like every other dark wave club tune from the time.. pretty forgetable, but danceable but boring.

  • @hymendanzig If I agree, does that make me Youtube cool!?

  • you spin me right round round like a .....

  • wonderful pics, but death in june did better songs

  • after Nada! I would say there were very few better songs; although I would agree The Calling (MK II) was not the quality of the music preceding it.

  • Nada! was a fantastic album, featuring many facets of Death In June, from the industrial to the modern folk. Still, albums like What Ends When The Symbols Shatter still uphold DI6's amazing reputation as being purveyors in Neofolk. They plumb the depths of the human mind. I cherish each and every one of their releases equally :)

  • Really nice song!!!

  • I love the musik and the images!! well done!

  • Are there multiple versions of this song?

I looked it up on myspace and every version I found sounded completely different from this one...

  • this one is the "Mk 2" version.

  • this one is the "Mk 2" version.

  • @Shadowthrone08: Yea, this is actually The Calling (MK2)

  • German architecture kills.

  • nice!

  • Great use of your vacation pictures. Well done too.

  • really bad sound quality... please reupload!!! love this damn song....

  • Hallo Sadistica, vielen Dank für den faszinierenden Rundgang durch Danzig. Zusammen mit der Musik ist das perfekt. Liebe Grüße, Marion

  • Really nice video - something to watch to pass the time - always kinda liked this song by Death In June.

  • geiler Kommentar und geiler Name ... das inspiriert auch ziemlich - erinnert an Klosettarchitektur

  • good video!

I wonder which DIJ song would Warsaw go well with? :) She Said Destroy perhaps? Death of the West? Heaven Street? All Pigs Must Die?? :D

  • :20 I took a screen shot of this and used it for my desktop for a long time. All these photos are excellent. This should be the official video for the song.

  • Kind of interesting that the video author decided to use Gdansk (Danzig) - a city that P is probably interested in.

  • Great photos!

  • dont want to sound like a creep but that girl is pretty.

  • Lovely stuff, ma'dam! I love the Deutsches Kreuz and Totenkampf. A++

Oh, and go easy on the nazis/fascists... they have alot of good ideas, they just need to be pushed in the right direction- I suggest large ammounts of Evola, Crowley, and Nietzsche, balanced with a healthy dose of Tantric Buddhism.

  • I suggest keeping it real and taking every day as it comes.

  • God, this song is awesome!!!!!! One of Death in June's best songs, by far.

  • Good picts.Good song

  • Thank you a 1000 times!

  • Love this song! ;)

  • Nice...

  • i love death in june!!

  • fuuuuuck.. this takes me back to the goth club days.... love it!

  • whoa these pictures kick ass! noce vid

  • Almost perfect, though it's from a very personal point of view

  • their electro stuff from Nada! is the worst part of the album but this song is great nonetheless. My favorite is Leper Lord.

  • My god, THIS was goth! Ah, the '80's... one-shot... Thanks.

  • this is like a remake of the song by them right? i like the other version beter

  • You both are so beautiful ladies! :-)

  • schönes Lied...

  • i like the pigeon picture!

  • obsccure ref: they've even been coming from GDANSK to see the video!!

    Look it up's YO

  • Death in June is the BEST !

  • (That girl with blue eyes is rly sexy)

  • That being Sadistica herself, who is indeed sexy as hell

  • I love NADA!

  • Danzig.

  • This song is from the Greater time of DIJ... Really good 1. And the pictures brought back some beautiful and sad memories... I mean, they changed their colour into a sad 1 in 9 years' time. The whole work, and probably your trip as well seem very much influenced by early DIJ -

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!

    **DANCES NON-STOP**

  • *****

  • Very nice pictures for the track, great job!

  • All pigs must die! ciekawe zdjecia

  • nada!

  • Great pictures. Gdańsk is amazing, beautiful city.

  • Nice!!

  • Nice pictures. I love this song! I remember when I bought the 12" of this song w/ the whip & glove logo embossed on the cover. You should do a video for my fav. DIJ song: "She said destroy". That would be great! Thank You.

  • Agree with doctorwest65. I did almost the same. But ive lost all my old vinyl. (80-s)AArrghhhhhh
