Couldn't agree more - why on earth do home designers thinks high light fixtures are workable for the long term?! I have a foyer light that's about 18 feet high. I'm dreading having to change the light bulbs. Great post -- home builders, take note!!
This is why, despite the fact that I live in an apartment, I enjoy your videos: you address questions I've had for years, but had no one to ask. Every time I've seen lighting fixtures on very high ceilings I've wondered why the fixture can't be lowered to allow for replacement of burned out bulbs. I thought that maybe I was missing something, but then you said that such bulbs usually don't get replaced. Now I know I wasn't missing anything. Such lighting fixtures really are a problem. Thanks.
