unbelievable!!!! respect for all who finish something like this!! what she did is more like incredibly awesome!!!!! For the past couple months Ive been training intensely for a half IM next week, but im so scared that I may not make it…… any last minute advice?? Last week I saw a new movie, “Discover the Gift”, which talks about being true to yourself and do whatever you do best giving 100% all the time. I loved it! facebook. com/discoverthegift
She came to my school and talked about this! Shes a great person and i'm glad she didn't give up and just think that since she was different she couldn't do what "normal" kids do.
@25jonathan She has one good leg, it would be possible to peddle with only 1 leg. The one that's missing is at the knee, that means she is still able to use her gluts which is were most of your power in cycling comes from.
i just finished my first olympic and i was pretty overcome with emotion. i can't even imagine what she felt, but just seeing her pretty much tells the story. awesome.
i have to agree with you and also to add something.. I see some bikers here in greece that have like 10KG of fat on their body and full carbon bike, like everything is carbon, why dont they lose a couple of kilos and they will see a difference
these road racer people obcess over lil grams on there bike trying to get them leight as possible, then go and put a thick layer of paint wich is alot when people get £150 seat posts becouse ther abit leighter than the origanal
Same for me. When I get out of bed and I don't want to run because it's cold or wet or I'm tired I get on youtube and I watch these videos and I feel so grateful for the opportunity to complete such a great challenge that I can hardly find my shoes fast enough. She's right, we all want to do something extrodinary.
I was there the day Sarah completed this run. Needless to say the tears were swelling up in my eyes, you could totally feel the excitment and chil in the air - you knew something outdoubtedly special was happening! You are my fav Iron Man memory Sarah thanks! my son was 10 and you remain an everlasting inspiration to this day!
This is an authentic inspiration to make me not to give up in doing anything easily. I will follow my dream and make it comes true no matter how long it is.
Watching you in transition after your DNF is the most beautiful, most heartbreaking, most representative moment in Ironman since Julie Moss. Thank you for allowing us to share it.
I'm doing Wisconsin in 2009 and will undoubtedly revisit that moment many times. My hope is to feel your pain so truly that I can make sure it'll never happen to me.
unrail sarah verrrrrrrrrrrry well dun. i finished the uk ironMan last year and i no how hard it was... u must hav felt great cus i no i did...... keep up the good work
Yup, that's the message. Or more precisely, a part of it. Since even if you can't, it's the energy you were able to mobilise before a goal that makes the goal so valuable to an extend, that the actual result does not count as much as one might think in the first place.
wait a minute 0:08 so she use normal bike and the others are not? that's not fair, right? cuz definitely she's faster than others?
