Ike's addiction is fairly well-known, especially in these years. It is somewhat hard to believe that Ike could get tore up and perform this often very challenging music. An old roommate of mine often played with him in an acoustic Zappa cover band called Project Object and he said that Ike was still doing the hard stuff. So sad.
