The value of a good is based on its scarcity. Money, doesn't give value to an item, it restricts an items availability to the public. Everything that is based on current economics is the exchange of goods, the only problem is it takes money to do just that. So value of goods has no attachment to money. Gas we use doesn't care what our dollar is worth. The value of gas depends on its production to demand, i.e. Higher demand lower production higher price of goods.

Money for big screens and big cars and big boats etc. But what if we provide those things to each other in exchange for other goods that someone might need. "Hey you fix my house, I'll fix your car" sort of mentality. And leave money out of it. Believe it or not there was a time in our history when we did just that, and the only downfall was the creation of currency.

And I completely agree with everything you just said, in fact it almost sounds like you've got that little soundbite memorised. I was more disagreeing with BamDammer on his preachings of a money-free world, which to me sound just a wee bit idiotic and overly nostalgic?

The value of a good is based on its scarcity. Money, doesn't give value to an item, it restricts an items availability to the public. Everything that is based on current economics is the exchange of goods, the only problem is it takes money to do just that. So value of goods has no attachment to money. Gas we use doesn't care what our dollar is worth. The value of gas depends on its production to demand, i.e. Higher demand lower production higher price of goods.

I agree, state sovereignty is where it's at, I mean we are called the United "States" of America for a reason. Not the United Government of America. Not to say government is bad I just feel we've become lazy and have falling into the belief that we won't be safe with out a big government. Start a garden, make local friends...it's simple. Stop relying on the government, start being an American and take care of yourself. Then you won't worry about any form of money. Take the middle man out of your life. If we never lived with money, we would never desire such a thing. It's only our perception of comfortability that comes with money that keeps us attached to it. Think about it. No money, no social classes, if everyones equal you remove the desire to rob and steal. Audit em.

It's very romantic what you're envisioning, but in reality it would not work. Money gives value to goods, goods which would be exchanged for other goods if money didn't exist. Exchange of goods between people will always happen, take away money and from my thinking the powers that be will have the monopoly on everything you exchange, which is pretty communist from the sounds of it.

Audit= investigate.
When we find out that they have destroyed our dollar, we disband them...
after we do this then, and only then can we go back to a gold standard, with our dollars being backed with actual wealth, and not with "credit" issued by a non governmental agency. Who by the way are linked to other countries downfalls. Only the bare minimum of research will lead you to realize that the fed=evil.
