if anyone doesn't understand the terms "popping and locking", do a google search, then check wikipedia on popping. urban dictionary contains some contradictory entries about whether it is part of breakdancing & b-boying or not.

i like it. when it's done well. i've always associated good popping and locking with hiphop for sure.

huybinh254 has something of a point tho - a lot of people coming here won't mind the difference. maybe the point is to take tv "locking" with a massive pinch of salt.

popping can exist without locking, but imo, it's nowhere near as cool. locking would be associated with sharpness and pauses.

it's a talent show & not exactly the underground. but i know what you're saying. if you like the style in this video, fine, but be sure not to accept this as the pinnacle of its genre! it's... naive. in a sweet way that is offensive to some. watch other videos too.

He's really good... BUT he doesn't have anything original. Watch some of the most famous popping routines out on youtube. Like Salah, Nick and Jeppe, and Phillip Chbeeb. It's pretty obvious this guy watched those, and learned how to do many of those moves. He's still amazing for being able to do them, but he didn't have any unique moves he could actually call his own.
