U fukn retard Anya is the love interest for marcus and Maria isn't a love interest because we already know they love eachother a love interest is a relationship that might happen! The script isn't great but it's better than most games like gears...it's better than halos and if the movie isn't serious there's no point in making it how can humanitys war for survival not be serious especialy with Dom and Maria!

1st of there are some movies based on games that worked like the silent hill movie.

2nd as well as doms love intrest marcus does have feelings for anya as we see in the final cutscene of gow 2 so that would need to be worked in as well

List of Actors i think would be good for gears movie (list is not perfect, but I think it has potential) you need actors who look physically strong for this movie. actors are good as long as they have good director to guide them.

First, they should not try to introduce and conclude the story in one movie

Second, Make epic fight and war scene's with stunning visuals and make them longer than 5 to 10 minutes

Third, I do not like movies that deviate from the story but then again the story to gears is simple at best, just don't eliminate any of the important characters like they did in dragon ball evolution.

Last and least, make it something that both fans and non fans can enjoy do not alienate anyone from this movie.

Good Thoughts. I personally liked the Doom and Hitman movie, but I generally agree with your assesment on Video Game based movies. Maria didn't play much of a role in the first Gears, so the only female would proabably be Anya. But the biggest problem is the length. The game was a 8-12 hour game experience and they would have to take alot out. And two, it would be for the best to add an intro to the movie about how the war began.

That's a great idea, PAC. I think it would be a good idea to not show her (like in the game), but instead listen to her voice, and keep her image in the imagination of others who haven't played the game. And then in the sequel, show her at the end.

You need to make a fun action packed movie with tons of gore and vulgar language. As for the Locust I think it would look pretty cool to actual have real actors play them sort of like what Giermo Del Toro pulled in Pan's Labrynth. As for actors the only two I can really pick off right now are

Ryan Reynolds for Baird, and Michael Clarke Duncan for Cole. I honestly hope these guys don't try pulling in guys like professional wrestlers cause honestly I can't stand them when they act.
