Obama warned against 'isolationism' in tonight's speech on our supposed early withdrawal from Afghanistan next September. Keep it coming, Jack. We're with you.
This is just the demonizing of those who are tired of illegal wars that are destroying our economy in the name of globalism. The criminals in power ignore the constitution and do as they please, no matter how criminal or illegal. If John "traitor" McCain is against isolationism, I am all for it. He is a fraud, a criminal and a liar, not a hero. Barry Soetoro is worse, as he never even served in the military is is a puppet for the plutocrats in power. The only thing worse than him is congress.
Libya is easy to understand. The US is using its power to keep the flow of goods around the world flowing and prop up the belief in a world economy. Part of that agenda includes pushing the beleif that we are for liberty and freedom and against depostism. This has be US policy for the last 60 years if not longer.
I would remain cautious against most Republicans that criticize our actions in Libya. Many Republicans also opposed intervention in the former Yugoslavia and took Clinton to task for it but turned a blind eye to Iraq. It's mostly politics, sadly. Good when our guy does it, bad when yours does. Though part of me hopes people are finally growing tired of empire and seeing the many horrid failures of our foreign policy.
Ron Paul and Kucinich and the 86 other Republicans really are non-interventionists. That's different than isolationist. We are not to seek out monsters abroad to destroy as John Quincy Adams said. Nor are we to get in entangling alliances as Washington and Jefferson said. It's the interventionists that are the violator of the constitution and the empire builders that are destroying liberty and morality.
@barbourjohn This is true, but I don't believe 86 republicans think the same way. You'd be hard pressed to find 10 in congress that do... Ron Paul certainly is one of them.
Many of these people have "special interests", such as financial investments in other countries, that is why they want to do things in other countries. Financial Interest.
We do not need to be in other countries backyard's with a 14 trillion dollar debt. We do not need to give foreign aid in the billions of dollars every year just so those countries can use it in futile ways that make us bankrupt and make us have to work twice as hard.
@controversyking In fact you are right for Hitler just invaded Chechia and Poland to liberate the Germans living there for Chechia and Poland took that part of Germany as a compensation to WW1. So Hitler was more or less an isolationist until war declarations from France and Britain forced him to wage an international war.
Though this all has been kept secret by allied propaganda and therefore Hitler remains the symbol of supreme evil. And that's why I took him to make my point.
Our leaders have refused to listen to the majority of American people on immigration for 40 years, why should they listen to us about the war powers act or sending our children to die in the Middle east.
We now have a ruling class, your votes mean nothing, get used to it.
When the government doesn't mind its own laws, nobody loses their job. If one of the common people doesn't follow the law, a SWAT team is sent out and they're sent to jail. Fucked up, isn't it?
If we followed the "isolationists" Foreign policy we would have more friends around the world. and before you list all our allies we have look at all the money we give them. there not our friends there our hookers and were there pimp.

Great work, but McCain actually opposed the Haiti intervention in the early 90s, as well as the Somalian i believe (also in the early 90s)

@Willredd94 I think he supported the Gulf War, he also might have opposed the Kosovo intervention.

IT is starting to get very interesting, how the shadow government now openly operates in the light, and cares not about consequence or havoc.

Justin Amash has a picture of Carl Menger and MURRAY frickin' ROTHBARD on his wall! o_0
I didn't even know who Amash was until I saw that picture here, and searched around to figure out who that guy was at 1:08.
I guess I'm not as informed as I thought I was to have not heard of him.
I will be watching him closely from now on.
BTW I hate those globes that show the United States without showing any... well, ya know, STATES.
