Actually it's conscious, subconscious, and unconscious. The subconscious and the unconscious minds refer to the same part of the mind. Dr. Milton Erickson, the world's foremost authority on hypnotherapy called it the unconscious, and I follow his school of therapy.
This is a great video I'm a college student so when test days come around I FREAK out no matter how much I studied but looking at this video make me feel a bit more positive I understand results take time thanks alot for the video!!!!
if you have mastered the study chapters. what else can you do but, write it all out, what's in your head. how can confidence help you with testing. look at all the nerds. there self esteem is in general, low. they pass tests too. anyway.
alanden? is the dr. in the vid, able to hypnotize you through video?
The major cause of test anxiety and mental blocks is a lack of confidence in one's ability to answer the questions correctly. When a person feels confident they feel more relaxed - hence - test anxiety is diminished and mental blocks are eliminated.
While yes, one can be hypnotised through video, this is an instructional video and not a hypno-therapeutic video.
I think having the belief that you only live once is very powerful and conducive to confidence. Everybody has hang-ups. Who cares if people don't like who you are? I had to battle through learning problems throughout my life. The battle really never ends to be honest. You just have to use what you got. It's not always what is dealt to you that is most important, but how you deal with it. You have the free will to do anything you want. That's an awesome belief.
i want this for myself. so i set a good example to my 15yr old daughter. i am very low, recently divorced no job . have no career brought up 7 children, all of whom are out in the world. very little money. i want to become confident and successfull. i am 57, is it too late.
I'm not an MD, but... While hypnotherapy and NLP are typically used to cure mind over matter type problems, since the unconscious controls the autonomic nervous system, and these modalities allow communication with it, there are those who suggest that they have been able to effect influence over the body's ability to heal itself. I'm inclined to believe it. For one, if anxiety and stress can be a catalyst for cancer, it stands to reason that relaxation and tranquility can help to cure it.
unless you have serious birth defects or facial scarring they're probably not even flaws but just a matter of you not looking like what is promoted as beautiful these days. Which I remind you changes faster than every decade and there is evidence of it if you'd stop blocking it out of your head to feed your negative emotions. Point is that what is considered physically attractive changes all the time because looks have the least to do with being attractive and their impermanence proves that.
As well, some of the most confident people in the world have lots of flaws. Tom Cruise for one, he doesn't have a tiny nose and his nose is broken as well, his teeth are crooked and his jaw is probably misaligned but that didn't stop him from being considered one of the sexiest men if not the sexiest man for the majority of the 80's and 90's
Why, are you thinking that you would make yourself accepting of your flaws? How about using hypnosis to help you eliminate those flaws (negative behaviours and feelings) and make yourself a person that you are proud to be?
Maybe sometimes just to act confident is the way. Sort of pretend in your head you are an actor playing the part of a confident person. From my own experience it seems to me that nearly everyone has hang ups about themselves but put a facade on so that everyone else cannot see how they feel. Just try and do what everyone else does and act the part. The longer you do it and eventually you will become at ease with it and then you will relax more.
Lifes too short to worry. We will look back and ...
However, hypnosis is a tool that can help one access the inner part of themselves that is causing the fear and worry, and rapidly exchange those feelings for ones that provide peace, confidence, and security.
Yes, go to my site and look at my "A Mind Like A Sponge!" program. It will help you increase concentration, retention, and recall as well as overcome test anxiety.
I have exams coming after 3 days and I have already prepared but I still fear of getting less marks because whenever I have tried hard and worked hard I never get the required result. Could you help me in this matter!!

we have a school camp coming up in 3 weeks we have to prepare for it now, i really dont like camps we went on a camp 2 years ago for 3 nights and it was terrible now we are going for 5 nights and i really dont wanna go, im in grade 9 and dont have many friends, any suggestions would be appreciated
I used to get bullied a couple of years ago, but now i'm at a different school and have dramatically changed my appearance i really want to find some good friends :) but i lack the confidence because of what used to happen :( it's annoying because my good friend tells me i have a great personality that people will love, i just need the confidence to be able to hang around with new people like at break time any suggestions specific to that?
Before we can do anything we have to "see" ourselves doing it. So practice visualizing yourself in social settings feeling and behaving the way that you would like to. There are a lot of techniques for self-confidence available on the CDs that are on my website.

I have an enormous feeling of wellbeing, of excitement that I've never felt before. Suddenly I feel as though I could do anything and I can be successful. It's just I feel like the world is my oyster and I really look forward to the future I can imagine what it can bring! : D

Obviously your lack of confidence is tied to your weight issue. I wish that I had four magic words to fix your poblem, but in reality, the closest I can come to the four magic words is, "Go to my website."
Here is 3 tips my brother gave me when I was a kid maybe 14 1. If a girl intimidates you, picture her taking a wet, smelly, runny shit (The Hershey Squirt Type) this will bring her down a few pegs. 2. Should you get the nads to talk to her end the conversation short in your next few meetings get her number and call a few days later. 3. To check to see how much she is into you, suggest she would look better with a different hair style and see if she changes it.
... hello... erm, i hav had an issue with confidence and self esteem for the last 7 years... it was really torn away from me with 4 years of constant bullying. I am training to become an actor and dancer but my confidence is so low that i am subconsciously limiting myself to what i can do... i always feel like im deluding myslef and that everyone is lying to me when they say anything about my dancing. i dont know, im just really fed up that i have no confidence...
Confidence is a state of mind which originates in our computer, the unconscious mind.
Your computer has been programmed in a negative direction. You can program it in a positive direction using hypnosis and NLP. I recommend that you go to my website and take a look at my 'Self-Confidence!' program. It has worked for thousands of people, and it will work for you.

Ive got a self esteem issue. I dont mean to sound cocky, but I am a pretty girl in my opinion. When Im at home and im getting ready to go out I look just fine. my confidence is high and everything.
but once i go out i catch my self in the mirroe..and it seems i look different for some reason. or if im in a social setting sometimes i feel like i have no purpose in being there because i have nothing to contribute (im kinda shy and quiet). how do i get the self
Hello, Alan. I am a swimmer, and have been since I was young. Recently, I have been having some lack of confidence in myself during races. Once it comes time to race, I just seem to get intimidated by my competition, even though I know I have been training just as hard if not harder then them and have beaten them in past races. Any advice?
To feel confidence, we have to see ourselves as being successful. It also helps to anchor feelings of confidence and success from the past and then transfer those feelings to the present and future. I have a program called "Self-Confidence!" that features Ericksonian Hypnotherapy and NLP that will help you with these and several other techniques.
also...do not say "I have a problem". Problems are like internal bricks and harder to dissolve or move. Say instead: I need to refocus or correct my focus. THIS approach reduces the "problem"/'brick' to ONE alternative and it lets you know that there are other alternatives and you can then observe and begin to choose the positive alternatives! It works because you are no longer tied to the "problem".
I'm 14 years old and well, i have a problem. Can u please help? Whenever i do i test i feel dicouraged. I never seem to have any confidence in my answers. Sometimes i would write in the correct answer but not knowing it is i immediatly write another answer which ends up being wrong. I get confused, i can't relax and seemingly i don't have confidence in myself. Can u help me overcome this? Thank u for your time.
Learn to relax before studying. Turn off music, TV, phone and eliminate all distractions. Set aside a specific place for study like a desk and NOT your bed.
After you study something, quizz yourself.
When you take a test, relax first. Always go with your first answer.
georgid94: YES...RELAX above all! give yourself small practice quizzes(like tests)and literally smile and thank yourself EVERYtime you answer something right. That will not only focus you on the positive side of committing to an answer, it will focus you on the 'rythm' of taking a test. You will flow through it better and with more focus as you have taught your brain to relax and celebrate answering questions...right. If YOU work 'it' IT will work for YOU.
Hey Allan I have a problem with self confidence overall. When i win at something people get discouraged so that bothers me. Lately i put myself in a mental barrior and now there's two sides one telling me to do my worst the other to do my best and they always argue with each other. How can i get rid of the other side the bad one I mean. I want to fully break out of this barrio r so badly. How di i do that.
In NLP we call it "parts therapy" because there are literally many unconscious parts to us. The technique of choice is called an NLP-6-Step-Reframe. You'll need to find a certified NLP Practitioner to talk you through the technique, which negotiates with the unconscious to get it to assume the responsibility of making you substitute a more acceptable behavior that will accomplish the same intent (secondary gain).
I'm 14 years old and I'm at school... i have trouble with speaking alloud and presenting my work infront of my class. I seem to hate people looking at me how do i fix this ??
Hello, While fixing this problem isn't that difficult, it is more complicated than I can explain here. I suggest that you order a copy of my program called "Self-Confidence!" as it has a chapter that deals specifically with your problem, which is called stage freignt.
i have such trouble trying to talk to and get a number from a girl that im into. i always tell myself that it will not be as bad as a think it is and i will be successful, but a keep avoiding it and in that past when i would tell myself that it'll be ok im always extremely nervous when i've done it in the past. do i have a more complex problem or do you have a simple suggestion.
Tell yourself that you don't see polka dots, and that will make you see polka dots in your mind's eye. Tell yourself that "it will NOT be as bad . . ." and you will see it being bad in your mind's eye. These are negative suggestions. Instead, tell yourelf what you WILL see or feel. I suggest that you take a look at my "Self-Confidence!" program.
I am out of work and am finding difficulty gathering adequate courage to enter the workforce effective. I am depressed, stay up late at night and sleep during the day. In the process, I miss calls for interviews and don't have the courage to check my voice mail. I am always looking at the worst case scenario, and I WANT to get out of this rut. Can you please suggest anything I can do to fix the downward spiral?
By your own words, "I am always looking at the worst case scenario," you are confirming exactly what I said in the video. It is our thoughts and words that create our emotions and behaviors.
So change your thoughts and words. If you are thinking, "Easier said than done," it's because you are responding from a conscious level.
I recommend that you take a close look at my program, which is called "Self-Confidence!" as it will enable you to plug new thoughts and words into your unconscious.
Two or three times a day, get relaxed, and then use your imagination to go back in time. Then imagine that you see and hear those same people telling you that you are good looking.
Do you have any suggestions for feeling more relaxed in everyday situations alan?Occasionaly I feel nervous communicating on the phone to important people for example. Would this technique work for that?
Our feelings are created by our thoughts. For feeling more relaxed in everyday situations, we have an NLP technique called the Flash. It trains the unconscious to use stressful thoughts as triggers for relaxing thoughts.
It is far too complex to try to explain how to do the Flash here in a little note field.
Because eliminating stress is so important, I include the Flash technique on almost every one of my recorded programs.
This video has really helped me because I'm afraid of heights. When you break your phobia down into smaller steps, it becomes easier to overcome it. Thanks!
great video

Would this technique work for that?
ogfergie 3 years ago 2
Our feelings are created by our thoughts. For feeling more relaxed in everyday situations, we have an NLP technique called the Flash. It trains the unconscious to use stressful thoughts as triggers for relaxing thoughts.
It is far too complex to try to explain how to do the Flash here in a little note field.
Because eliminating stress is so important, I include the Flash technique on almost every one of my recorded programs.

This video has really helped me because I'm afraid of heights. When you break your phobia down into smaller steps, it becomes easier to overcome it. Thanks!
