while I undertsnad what your intentions are. Cold fusion tests require a number of things to vrify that cold fusion is taking place. But that does not conclusivly prove cold fusion. I hope you undertand where I am comming from. Thanks.
How exactly are you keeping track of the neutrons being emitted here?
There's 'a process' going on when I flush my toilet, but that doesn't make it 'cold fusion'. Though I could make the comparison to my analogy and this rubbish.
Do the world a favor and get your facts straight prior to posting these ridiculous videos.
Anyone seen the youtube video "In the footsteps of fusion" ? It is about Muon Catalysed Fusion as refined by an Australian company called Star Scientific. The process of MCF has been know about a long time but you needed to put more energy in than you could get out and it would get gummed up by something called "Alpha Sticking". Well it appears that Star Scientific have been able to produce so many pions that Alpha Sticking is no longer a problem. A solution for our energy problems ?
He does a great demo of the Arcy Sparky patented "multicell" type of reactor. I disagree with the simple theory he says is the "reason for the controversy", but it is a nice video.
If fusion is happening here you should be able to detect helium being generated. When one atom of hydrogen fuses with another atom of hydrogen you will have a lot of energy emitted and helium produced as a byproduct. If there is no helium generated then you would have to say that this is not nuclear fusion.
very nice, i would think it was similar to how a star is born. the RF noise can go way up causing the gas to become conductive. here you hit it with enough volts, and low amps. now think how can a gas be heated up in the same manner as the water was slowly, but with high frequency RF in the 22ooo kHz or even microwave frequency. like on the sun..
If you could enlighten me,how many volts do you put in to give out voltage, and if the case may be,where do you get the voltaage from?be the way total respect to you and what yyour doing.
The KOH is an electrolyte allowing the current to flow through the distilled water (which will not conduct otherwise). Tap water and Sodium bicarb. will also do this BTW. He is breaking apart the water molecules into seperate hydrogen AND oxygen particles through electrolysis AKA HHO. This is also at the same time being burned off and converted back into water by applying excessive current. The hydrogen will burn underwater due to the oxygen particles which are also being generated.
Excellent! We need to get this puppy patened and mass produced. Anything but the nasty ass coal and oil we are currently using, that shit is killing the planet! anything!

Please correct me if I'm wrong but, I think what this does is just breaking water into Hydrogen and Oxygen and then applying more energy to form water again. That's basically what a Hydrogen motor does, doesn't it? Fusion would be to turn that Hydrogen into Helium.
Also, I doubt this kind of reaction is energy efficient.

@FatLingon True. Furthermore, this is simply an electron capture event phenomenon (look it up in wikipedia). Which creates effects that can be confused with fusion.

cold fusion is real but this isn't it, this is just ordinary chemistry. Real cold fusion is now known to convert very small quantities (so far!) of deuterium to helium, the helium has been confirmed by 12 research groups around the world, and relates to the measured excess heat by the value for deuterium fusion. Search for "Storms", "Naturwissenschaften", and the title of the review, "Status of cold fusion (2010)"

A fusion reaction will require very high pressure but this method looks like an out of control welder, and I think that all we are seeing is an arc established due to the water. Show us the Helium! If the boffins are to be believed a party balloon of Deuterium is all that's needed for a megaton burst so what is this guy talkng about.. If there was such an occurence here he wouldn't have a garage anymore.
This guy is an idiot and doesnt understand what he is doing, or the basics of "cold fusion". This is NOT cold fusion, or LENR. There is nothing new or controversial here. He is generating H and O, and they are ignited by the high voltage.
What exactly does it put out? If it burns the hydrogen then its just wasting that... And it uses alot of energy... Even if it was to boil water that is a huge waste of energy. :/
Thats not fusion, thats electrolysis. Fusion entails a thermonuclear reaction in which more energy comes out than what you put in. Cold Fusion has yet to be proved in a controlled experiment by anyone, where there is more energy coming out than what is going in. If you can prove me wrong, show me. The latest thing Ive heard is an article from IEEE, and thats only pre-research.
@R3MUS2007 Cold fusion has been replicated many times. See the book on Low Energy Nuclear Reactions by Ed Storms. There is also a decent vid by 60 Minutes in which McKubre is interviewed.
@dodanimal This experiment IS NOT fusion. When you put electricity at many amps like that into water and get a plasma arc, you get ELECTROLYSIS. That separates the hydrogen and oxygen. Show me a sustained experiment that creates Fusion that has been proved to work, and actually does produce electricity rather than consuming electricity. Books dont prove anything. Research papers prove success or failure. A 60-minutes interview is not scientific evidence that Cold Fusion exists.
@R3MUS2007 Yes I know this "experiment" is not fusion. See my other comments here. But take a look at the book by Ed Storms "The Science of Low Energy Nucleaar reactions". This book describes many experiments that prove in many ways the reality of cold fusion and LENR. Ed Storms also has a lecture on youtube in which he describes some of these results. See "low energy nuclear reactions" by kivalabs.
Pretty fancy under water welder. Cool looking, but not fusion. You need to try to focus a dueterium gas stream with a focused tritium gas stream and add say 100 million electron volts. Then you'd be cooking with fusion. Good luck Mr. Wizard.
in soviet union my father used the same reaction to boil water, because they didn't have the kettle. Try it out: two razors, copper wire, two matches and an insulator tape. Works pretty good, but consumes lots of power.
at aprox 2:51 when he says now we are gona add<<<<---- some koh or whatever ...look for that flying (thing) ufo passing by... from right to left what tha hell is that? ive seen it in other video's too cant remember what ppl call them but they have been seen befor
this is not cold fusion, this is just underwater welding. cold fusion is the nuclear combination of two deuterium atoms (which contains 1 proton and 1 neutron) to form helium (which contains 2 protons and 2 neutrons). this guy used distilled water which contains almost no deuterium atoms. you can not produce a fusion reaction with regular hydrogen (which contains 1 proton and 0 neutrons), it is missing the necessary neutron in the nucleus to create a stable helium nuclei.

h2 need o2 to to burn! fusion CAN NOT BE TAKING PLACE HERE!
you have 5 to 20 things incorrect here!
FAIL FAIL FAIL!
iv stopped explaining things to stupid people like you.
the only thing that you have correct here is that you know what an arc under water looks like.
think about it.... if this was real working cold fusion, then you would have lots of money and you have personally saved the worlds energy crisis. you put allot of energy in and gotten little light and heat out of it.
you need HEAVY WATER! real cold fusion isn't over unity, as the deuterium turns to tritium, permanent, all your doing is setting fire to hydrogen you made.
hydrogen doesnt burn... its an electrical chain reaction that results in hydrogen oxygen bonding. fusion is when you get energy out of pushing two molecules into a state they dont naturally wanna be yet causing alot of heat. an electric chain reaction is not fusion and hydrogen doesnt burn.. hydrogen doesnt reduce.. so apon burning the hydrogen what becomes of the hydrogen? is it reducing into asymetrical quark pairs or something or do you say burn because the repairing puts out heat and light?
@mastereyeball Hydrogen does burn.. Rapid "bonding" or oxidation of the hydrogen is also known as burning..
Hindenburg = Explosion!
What he's doing is sending an electric current through the water and KOH and the arcs are stripping the hydrogen ions from the solution while superheating them into plasma, which is then boiling off the water.

1st of all its really cool to be talking to someone who was on the colony!
My question is: How did you get access to KOH? I have had a hard time finding legitimate companies online. Is it sold at brick and mortar stores like pool supply stores, hardware stores, etc.
This isn't science. It is hobby experiment. You want to do science- you gotta have a control and measure all forms of energy in and out to have some clue what might be happening.
Lets say that the end result is steam at a low cost of energy, why can't we just use the steam to power some turbines... One chamber for a reaction, then funnel the steam to make some energy.
isnt heare iust a reaction, when 2H2O + 2KOH -> 2KOOH + 2H2, then H2 + O -> H2O + heat..? shouldnt you use pollonium or smth for cold fusion stuff? isnt fusion smth like 2H -> He + energy . . ? i mean you have to get new elements out of raw ones? or what is made heare really is a fusion?
This here is hydrogen burning - nothing to do with nuclear fussion.Fusing hydrogen into helium usually happens in the core of a star where the pressure and heat are unimaginable and that's why cold fusion is considered impossible. However if someone actually figures out how to create cold fusion he will instantly become the richest person in the history of the world, for cold fusion is an infinite energy source and(unlike nuclear fission) emits absolutely no radiation which makes it totaly clean.
@obionedogan Last two statements are crap. (Cold) Fusion is not an infinite energy source and radiation is emitted in the process, both electromagnetical and massive. Though fusion is alot cleaner than fission, it's not "totally clean", inform yourself about the process. Reactor coating is made radioactive in the process, and deuterium/tritium are created by fission reactors, and are themselves (in the case of tritium) unstable.
@DerCrossi You are right, my statement about the process emiting no radiation is wrong. The thing is that radioactive waste from nuclear fusion remains radioactive for 50 to 70 years compared to the thousands of years radioactivity of nuclear fission residue. I would edit my post and correct it but there is no option for editing :)
You are wrong. Fusion DOES emit radiation. The difference between fission and fusion is that after the nuclear reaction, we aren't left with highly radioactive waste with a huge half-life.
This isn't fusion, it is just hydrogen burning under water. This is a variation of a basic, entry level chemistry experiment where you perform a hydrolysis reaction. The only difference is that when he cranks the voltage up high enough, it vaporizes the water between the cathode/anode and ignites the hydrogen, which simply reforms into water. If he wants to prove cold fusion, then he needs to show a power collection/net gain. If you buy into this, then you should have to wear a douche hat.
@beausoleil1183 okay here is my question to you, where is he putting energy into this system? Im doing a paper on renewable energies ect.... according to the visible meters around 7:00 he is using 125 watts to produce avg. 3 amps and 250 volts which equals 750 watts. now on top of this the temperature is rising and there is steam being let out which are 2 more sources of energy. so 750 > 125. correct or no?
@twosideddeth There are two things you need to look at when dealing with fusion. The first is overcoming electromagnetic repulsion. The energy that he is supplying is no where near enough to overcome the potential barrier. The second issue is that even assuming that he is fusing H, he show no way of collecting the energy produced and transforming it into a usable form (electricity). If you want to research fusion look up NIF, ITER, or Bussard polywell reactors.
I don't know why the hell the people on the colony didn't just make a hydrogen generator with all those car batteries/solar cells for all their fuel needs... maybe the producers didn't want a bunch of flammable gasses everywhere =)
Ummm... And HOW is this cold fusion? Where is your proof of over unity? All you are doing is making an arc in water, subsequently boiling it. I did this same thing in my bedroom when I was 6! You have done ZERO to substantiate over-unity. All you said is indeed true, it's called electrolysis, and then the arc igniting the HHO. This DOES NOT constitute over-unity.
Secondly, drain cleaner is NaOH, SODIUM hydroxide, not POTASSIUM, and you can do EXACTLY the same thing with much safer TABLE SALT.
All I am asking is this: Can you PROVE over-unity?
Can you ABSOLUTELY PROVE that the reaction you are making, is indeed creating more energy than you are putting into the reaction?
Where is the WORK PERFORMED BY THE REACTION PRODUCTS? What have you done to USE the energy that is converted (and claimed to be more than you put into the reaction) in the chamber? You haven't.
Questions for you holywdtughguy . Does that steam contain a percentage of unburned hydrogen? Can you continue to feed water to the canister and will this fusion continue as long as you are continuing to provide power to the cathode/anode? Hoy long does the tungten carbide rod last at this rate? And, can this TC rod ceramic insulator be such that it will not fail? Please reply.
What about the math.Is there potential for more energy out than the energy put in?If so enough to make it viable?
Good luck liked the experiment

cold fusion is real but this isn't it, this is just ordinary chemistry.

What exactly does it put out? If it burns the hydrogen then its just wasting that... And it uses alot of energy... Even if it was to boil water that is a huge waste of energy. :/
Smgweat 1 year ago
Thats not fusion, thats electrolysis. Fusion entails a thermonuclear reaction in which more energy comes out than what you put in. Cold Fusion has yet to be proved in a controlled experiment by anyone, where there is more energy coming out than what is going in. If you can prove me wrong, show me. The latest thing Ive heard is an article from IEEE, and thats only pre-research.
R3MUS2007 1 year ago
@R3MUS2007 Cold fusion has been replicated many times. See the book on Low Energy Nuclear Reactions by Ed Storms. There is also a decent vid by 60 Minutes in which McKubre is interviewed.
dodanimal 1 year ago
@dodanimal This experiment IS NOT fusion. When you put electricity at many amps like that into water and get a plasma arc, you get ELECTROLYSIS. That separates the hydrogen and oxygen. Show me a sustained experiment that creates Fusion that has been proved to work, and actually does produce electricity rather than consuming electricity. Books dont prove anything. Research papers prove success or failure. A 60-minutes interview is not scientific evidence that Cold Fusion exists.
R3MUS2007 1 year ago

Wizard.

this is not cold fusion, this is just underwater welding. cold fusion is the nuclear combination of two deuterium atoms (which contains 1 proton and 1 neutron) to form helium (which contains 2 protons and 2 neutrons). this guy used distilled water which contains almost no deuterium atoms. you can not produce a fusion reaction with regular hydrogen (which contains 1 proton and 0 neutrons), it is missing the necessary neutron in the nucleus to create a stable helium nuclei.

hydrogen doesnt burn... its an electrical chain reaction that results in hydrogen oxygen bonding. fusion is when you get energy out of pushing two molecules into a state they dont naturally wanna be yet causing alot of heat. an electric chain reaction is not fusion and hydrogen doesnt burn.. hydrogen doesnt reduce.. so apon burning the hydrogen what becomes of the hydrogen? is it reducing into asymetrical quark pairs or something or do you say burn because the repairing puts out heat and light?
mastereyeball 1 year ago
@mastereyeball Hydrogen does burn.. Rapid "bonding" or oxidation of the hydrogen is also known as burning..
Hindenburg = Explosion!
What he's doing is sending an electric current through the water and KOH and the arcs are stripping the hydrogen ions from the solution while superheating them into plasma, which is then boiling off the water.

isnt heare iust a reaction, when 2H2O + 2KOH -> 2KOOH + 2H2, then H2 + O -> H2O + heat..? shouldnt you use pollonium or smth for cold fusion stuff? isnt fusion smth like 2H -> He + energy . . ? i mean you have to get new elements out of raw ones? or what is made heare really is a fusion?
arvis123321 1 year ago 2
This here is hydrogen burning - nothing to do with nuclear fussion.Fusing hydrogen into helium usually happens in the core of a star where the pressure and heat are unimaginable and that's why cold fusion is considered impossible. However if someone actually figures out how to create cold fusion he will instantly become the richest person in the history of the world, for cold fusion is an infinite energy source and(unlike nuclear fission) emits absolutely no radiation which makes it totaly clean.
obionedogan 1 year ago 9
@obionedogan Last two statements are crap. (Cold) Fusion is not an infinite energy source and radiation is emitted in the process, both electromagnetical and massive. Though fusion is alot cleaner than fission, it's not "totally clean", inform yourself about the process. Reactor coating is made radioactive in the process, and deuterium/tritium are created by fission reactors, and are themselves (in the case of tritium) unstable.
DerCrossi 1 year ago
@DerCrossi You are right, my statement about the process emiting no radiation is wrong. The thing is that radioactive waste from nuclear fusion remains radioactive for 50 to 70 years compared to the thousands of years radioactivity of nuclear fission residue. I would edit my post and correct it but there is no option for editing :)
obionedogan 1 year ago
@obionedogan not sure a free unlimited energy is wanted that much in the world we live in... how could profity be made on something free?
ericasw28 1 year ago
@ericasw28 The energy itself is free. The construction and maintenance of machines to produce it isn't.

ericasw28 1 year ago
@obionedogan Nuclear Fission not fussion
InfinityWard312 1 year ago
@obionedogan
You are wrong. Fusion DOES emit radiation. The difference between fission and fusion is that after the nuclear reaction, we aren't left with highly radioactive waste with a huge half-life.
c4l1x 1 year ago
This isn't fusion, it is just hydrogen burning under water. This is a variation of a basic, entry level chemistry experiment where you perform a hydrolysis reaction. The only difference is that when he cranks the voltage up high enough, it vaporizes the water between the cathode/anode and ignites the hydrogen, which simply reforms into water. If he wants to prove cold fusion, then he needs to show a power collection/net gain. If you buy into this, then you should have to wear a douche hat.
beausoleil1183 2 years ago 36
@beausoleil1183 okay here is my question to you, where is he putting energy into this system? Im doing a paper on renewable energies ect.... according to the visible meters around 7:00 he is using 125 watts to produce avg. 3 amps and 250 volts which equals 750 watts. now on top of this the temperature is rising and there is steam being let out which are 2 more sources of energy. so 750 > 125. correct or no?
twosideddeth 1 year ago
@twosideddeth There are two things you need to look at when dealing with fusion. The first is overcoming electromagnetic repulsion. The energy that he is supplying is no where near enough to overcome the potential barrier. The second issue is that even assuming that he is fusing H, he show no way of collecting the energy produced and transforming it into a usable form (electricity). If you want to research fusion look up NIF, ITER, or Bussard polywell reactors.
beausoleil1183 1 year ago

Secondly, drain cleaner is NaOH, SODIUM hydroxide, not POTASSIUM, and you can do EXACTLY the same thing with much safer TABLE SALT.
haemphyst 2 years ago
All I am asking is this: Can you PROVE over-unity?
Can you ABSOLUTELY PROVE that the reaction you are making, is indeed creating more energy than you are putting into the reaction?
Where is the WORK PERFORMED BY THE REACTION PRODUCTS? What have you done to USE the energy that is converted (and claimed to be more than you put into the reaction) in the chamber? You haven't.
I guess if it's on the internet, it MUST be true.

Can you continue to feed water to the canister and will this fusion continue as long as you are continuing to provide power to the cathode/anode? Hoy long does the tungten carbide rod last at this rate? And, can this TC rod ceramic insulator be such that it will not fail? Please reply.
