Your luck is higher than it should be actually. Luck for magicians should be level +3. So, you being 40, your luck should be 43. Of course, the higher luck raises your minimum damage. The ideal build is level +3 for luck, and the other points to int.
That is if you can't make the money for a Zakum Helmet or Horn Tail Necklace.

If you have a lot of money go with i/l or f/p bishop sucks. When you get to a high enough level you know bishop actually sucks you dry. But makes you a lot of money from 70-120.

Dragon Roars AOE is quite smaller range then blizzard though it's really good considering it's a DK's move which is warrior so it's fairly good. In these newer maps (Leafre) the areas are very huge. Also I believe dragon roar takes HP and MP but not that much since DK's have a lot of that so there are a few disadvantages versus Blizzard.
The attack ice demon makes all monsters hit by it take cold damage constantly (like poison) and also makes monsters weak to fire based attacks so they gave ice mages a summon make use of this skill to do extra damage.
actually its how u see it fire gets ice and ice gets fire to better balance the elements because ice would never have fire and fire would never have ice plus fire cant freeze and ice range skills isnt that strong as fire so it works out for both

Well, if you're talking about Damage wise, PFFT. NO. Yeah, the MP cost is less, but the only reason for that is because we have Element Amplification. 2x more Mp used, but 135% more Damage, so Damage wise on Reg. monsters, a F/P or I/L Would greatly outdamage a Bishop.
mages suck if you think about C/L is fast but say you do 20k then compare it to a bowman doing 10k per arrow with storm of arrow 10k = easy then 1 sec= 8 arrows thats 80k in 1 second somethin an ice mage wont ever do..
Since when I/L mage is 1v1? They're more for mob attack(chain lightning hit 6 monsters, ice demon too, our pet too... and think to blizard dmg :) costly but best dmg in the game...)
And well, compare the mobility and the life of bowmaster vs mage... mage can simply teleport to avoid, got one of the best life in the game(mg powa) and bowmaster got one or two shotted by almost everything without hb and with a bad mobility ;) So stfu and think to other parameter than dmg <3
All mages have amp. Amp is always there and it can't be removed, unless you use 3rd job SP resets. Though they get a 35% damage increase, they also have to spend double MP. Always.
Also, I think the game wants Ice mage and Fire mage to work together more, which we should all do in the game. I think too many people are selfish in training.

The reason why the summons are reversed is because of the ice/fire demon spells. When an ice mage uses Ice demon on a mob of monsters, all of their current elements along with any resistances will be removed, AND they will now have an "ice" effect which means that they are weak to fire now, and that is what the fire summon is there for. Hope that makes sense. :]
in 4th jobs mages exchange element stuff like that E.G. f/p arch mage use paralyze i think that is what you mean of lighting,and paralyse freeze monsters for 15second,so like i/l arch mage use fire demon while f/p arch mage use ice demon to have 1.5x dmg

Level 1 Blizzard/Meteo/Genesis can do around 30K+ on monsters weak to their elements. She is training on neutral ones. There is a Fire Archmage video also, showing that level 1 Meteo does around 30K damage on blue wyverns. :P
They're retards. There's a crap ton of lukless 4th job mages, and the only requirement you have to reach 4th job is to be level 120, along with having used up all your 3rd job SP. (and doing the test of course too.)
If you're a level 180 3rd job, all the sp that you have saved up for 4th job will not need to be put in. So if you're level...150 and have 120 SP saved up for 4th job, it will let you advance and use those 120 points for your 4th job skills.
When you use Ice demon, or Fire demon, it makes the monster weak to your summons element. So if you use Ice demon on a neutral monster, you make it weak to fire, which means the ice mage's fire summon will do 150% damage. :]

The fire golem or Ifrit is for Ice Mage because Ifrit is fire based, which helps Ice mage to kill water based monster.
So the ice golem or Elquines, is ice based, which helps fire mage to kill fire based monsters.

nah, you should cap your luk at 70luk cos when you are higher, equipment will give you your luk to use equips. i.e
Zhelm 15+ all stats, Horntail Necklace 52+ all stats, n the rest is yours to choose.

Nah, if you know how to play maple properly you will know how to get one.
and by the way, if you didn't already...zakum run, attackers are usually over Lv160+, and HT Run is Rare with Atkers needing to be Lv180+
Unless your guild knows you very well or you have very high pro damage.

All mages have amp. Amp is always there and it can't be removed, unless you use 3rd job SP resets. Though they get a 35% damage increase, they also have to spend double MP. Always.

Ifrit = Fire Attack.
Ice Demon = Makes monsters weak to fire attack.
You use Ice Demon, then Ifrit does a larger amount of damage.
It's just a smart way of linking skills together.

Also, I think the game wants Ice mage and Fire mage to work together more, which we should all do in the game. I think too many people are selfish in training.

okay what i dont get is how come the 4th job skills for archmages are reversed???? its like messed up...in this vid her summon is some fire thing....O.o?! this girl is an ice/lighting mage!!! i saw this 1 link where this f/p archmage was using a lighting attack and the ice summon....wtf? ill try to find the link and post it

Okay, here goes...
The reason why the summons are reversed is because of the ice/fire demon spells. When an ice mage uses Ice demon on a mob of monsters, all of their current elements along with any resistances will be removed, AND they will now have an "ice" effect which means that they are weak to fire now, and that is what the fire summon is there for. Hope that makes sense. :]

in 4th jobs mages exchange element stuff like that E.G. f/p arch mage use paralyze i think that is what you mean of lighting,and paralyse freeze monsters for 15second,so like i/l arch mage use fire demon while f/p arch mage use ice demon to have 1.5x dmg

Level 1 Blizzard/Meteo/Genesis can do around 30K+ on monsters weak to their elements. She is training on neutral ones. There is a Fire Archmage video also, showing that level 1 Meteo does around 30K damage on blue wyverns. :P

They're retards. There's a crap ton of lukless 4th job mages, and the only requirement you have to reach 4th job is to be level 120, along with having used up all your 3rd job SP. (and doing the test of course too.)

If you're a level 180 3rd job, all the sp that you have saved up for 4th job will not need to be put in. So if you're level...150 and have 120 SP saved up for 4th job, it will let you advance and use those 120 points for your 4th job skills.

It's not messed up, nor is it weird. :P
When you use Ice demon, or Fire demon, it makes the monster weak to your summons element. So if you use Ice demon on a neutral monster, you make it weak to fire, which means the ice mage's fire summon will do 150% damage. :]
