Historically Rage had been against government that doesn't do anything, for change. In 2000 they played at the DNC, because both candidates seemed to be the same, and they felt that Al Gore should make a stand to be different from what they felt was the negative Republican Party, now times have changed there is a clear difference between the two, and yeah they kind of have a socialist agenda.

That's patently false. Even a cursory look at the policies of both candidates shows they are, in fact, the same. Obama's got a more aggressive foreign policy than McCain, even, although his domestic policy is slightly closer to centre.

Nonetheless, Obama's policy reflects the interests of the ruling elite, as all presidential candidates from the ruling parties will do, and that is something Rage used to understand. My fear is they've simply decided they don't care anymore.

Also, one of the things in the preamble is to "promote the general welfare". So if something is deemed dangerous to people, your rights can be supressed.
