@Leord The Johto remakes are also unnecessary, even for people who want all 493 Pokemon. I never used any remakes and even I have all of the Johto and Kanto Pokemon because I got them all from Pokemon Colosseum and Pokemon XD by trading them to the Hoenn games and then migrating them to my Pokemon Platinum. I even have all the event Pokemon because none of the legendaries did not require the use of remakes.

I mean, good for you for having gotten all the 493 Pokémon existing up to now without using any remake, but I think that some people like to see what Nintendo is able to do in order to renew an old game they loved very much, and also I think younger fans should be able to feel kind of like their elder felt ages ago... anyways, and pragmatically, it is just about money, I suppose ^^

@Leord Reusing games does easily increase money and does adjust the age level, but unlike what you said, nostalgia is most easily cured with things the way they were before instead of remixing and changing everything. I played my cousin's Heart Gold game, and it did not seem that nostalgic, and many have this same opinion. One example of this is the fact that although the originals excluded features like the Safari and Saffron Tower, the remakes have even less features.

When I said "some people like to see what Nintendo is able to do in order to renew an old game" I meant that some people like me can enjoy the idea to face almost the same story with new options, Pokémon, movesets, features, even if they aren't that many. Yup the Johto region is based off of an actual region in Japan just like Kanto is. The real life differences between the two is that Kanto (Kanto/Tokai) is more modernized while Johto (Kansai/West Tokai) retains a lot of the folk traditions of Japan and is the countries most historical and sacred region being home to the Ise Shrine of the Shinto religion. Just like in the games.Its also the reason why when you travel from Johto to Kanto you're treated like shit because basically your a farm-boy.
