Fish in their new 600 gallon tank

3 questions for the public, im making a 650 gallon aquarium (7 x 5 x 2.5) and i was wondering: how do you heat it, would a pond filter work (if not what would), and how do you keep it well oxygenated? as of now i have a RTC x TSN hybrid, clown knife, lima shovelnose, pleco in a temporary 75 gallon tank.

@BadCompanypowerlifti I would use a sump with a wet/dry filter. That way you could use intakes at all four corners of the tank, fill the sump with some strong heaters and a myriad of bubblers(?). I would love to know what you come up with!

1. get some gars...

2. set up a large semi agressive community with tinfoil barbs, maybe some tats and scombs and stuff...

3. agressive cichlid tank...

4. one big fish that can fit in it of your choice, maybe like an arowana, or a wolf fish

Water is too cloudy for my taste. Multiple water changes over time or a drip system would really help.

I'm sorry, I know you listed the species, but I don't know which and I was wondering about one in particular. what kind of cat is the one in the center of the tank the whole video and doesn't move much? the other cat tried to dig under it, and it looks like there's two of them, smaller one next to it before it swims off. and are these native to brazil? I think that I've seen them before, fresh caught out of native territory.

@googeish I think Niger is correct... it's not the derogatory term if that is what you are thinking. Niger (pronounced NI-Jer) is also a country in Africa that borders Nigeria to the north and also borders Mali, Chad, Libya and Algeria which is where this catfish is from.

We just bought two little 1.5" iridescent sharks... and I had no idea until now that they get to be about 4 feet long. So I guess that once they get to be about 8"-10" long we're going to donate them back to where we got them from because they take donor fish. It would be fricken awesome to get a 600gal tank. Do you know how much a 600gal tank weighs? As far as I know, a 55gal tank weights about 600lbs.
