@goedmonton I know its not right to call anyone a weido but the bottom line is that Hui Cho was mentally ill. Sure his shooting had a lot to do with some kids bullying him but no sane person would do that. He killed a lot of innocent people. He didnt just shoot the kids that picked on him. He went after everyone who got in his way during his rampage. He was evaluated by physciatrists and the shrink determined that he was in need of hospitalization.

What Cho did was very wrong but even though 31 people died police and schools have taken up a zero tolerance policy so that it is very unlikely a school shooter nowadays could pull a shooting off.

I live in australia, no one is allowed to carry weapons of any kind and we have never had anything like this happen. Except once, but that's when all weapons were banned.

Also, it seems the schooling systems in other countries like the US can be a much harsher environment with all the cliques and different groups and stuff. It happens here, but nowhere near to that extent. It can push people with mental health issues over the edge.

yeh i still disagree though. I think in the future in america when e.g. an armed robbery takes place - they will walk , murder everyone, then steal the money - why? because thats the only way to ensure nobody can shoot you.

I carry a .45 everywhere I go not because Im afraid, but so I dont have to be afraid because I have the training and ability to control a situation should it become violent. Had there been someone like myself at VT, live couldve been saved in a matter of seconds. It takes police on average 3 min. to respond, and lots can happen in that time.
