Man- slow dancing in high school to this, your hands on some sweet smelling, bubble gum chewing, hot chicks bottom. A couple of beers swigged in the parking lot with muscle cars. Then up to the hills later on to do some HEAVY making out and maybe a bit more. THIS was real music with REAL bands that could play their instruments, SING incredible harmonies with high voices, synthesizers, ROCK drumming, bitchin ballads, etc. THE BEST OF TIMES. Right out of my days. NO RAP filth even existed.
I remember it was REO and Journey who used to tour together way back.. Wish I saw REO in concert... What a distinct voice he had.. but OMG- NOT the same voice in 2008... Still good .. but DEFINITELY not the same...
i hope i will hear this song live in concert 20 years to come...i'am 17 years old now n ive been heard this song when i was 7....salut this song n the singer....
Before you take a stroll down memory lane and boast about how great your favourite musicians were, remember that all decades had both great and shitty musicians.
I don't like this feeling, I was awake during midnight yesterday. All I think was about a 50 year old overweight profesional guy who is bad tempered and moody ! It can't be true. I want to deny this strange feeling I have inside. I just have a glass of oatmilk and an apple today for dinner but I did n't feel hungry or sleepy. I am quite attractive, kind hearted and soft spoken.
But this guy is a jerk and think highly about himself. I promise to get him out of my head
All of us who grew up in the 70's and 80's are very fortunate! Why? Because we had real music with real artists who knew how to sing and perform live, long before anyone had heard of lip synching and autotune! I'm so very grateful for being one of those people who were young back then!!!
@hancar You are so right, it is a shame the industry no longer takes bands who play the genre of music, you can't beat good rock and proper rock not what they call rock today
@hancar just cause we didnt grow up in that generation doesnt mean we cant love this great music! ive seen them 3 times and i love love classic rock. Born in 1990, long live rock!
Saw these guys, for the last time, at this very venue in the 80's. We took 2 or 3 carloads for a couple of different towns in Central Illinois and had the time of our lives. Richrath rules. That concert resonated in my mind, and ears, for days.
Timeless baby,Timeless.........I love these guys..........There will never be ROCK MUSIC like we had to listen to in the 70's and 80's........xoxoxoxo
Yesterday I was at the Arena Monterrey, Mexico. This song to me is very significant. The story they tell in the video, it touches many fibers of the Heart. From birth, we grow, we develop as couple, children, and the theme that you want to always avoid Death. Just today, an uncle of mine passed away. The taste for Reo Speed Wagon leave me a Brother, who in August 2009 He died. That means to me this song.
REO was the best Midwest band for years before they hit and that voice still sounds fine they were an arena band before the rest and deserve all the fame they got. Wish they wouldn't hawk the stuff late-night, but it does keep it alive.
I was there as well.........i liked the show also. i was impressed with them bringing back a few classics from the 80's i had not ever seen them perform before...what sucked is that in champaign that night there was maybe 3,000 people there...i couldnt belive how bad the turnout was...but oh well i was there.thats all that matters
yea i was there i have this video on here to and the intro to this song i also have In my dreams Acoustic version, Dangerous Combination, Don't let him go, Time for me to fly, and more
